    It's a very handy high hcp swing you have going on there 😎 Good to hear you're getting prof help 👍🏻
    Here's my fun key points. Each has a cascading cause & effect on the next point:
    1) grip - weak weak weak
    2) takeaway - structure starts here, ya too armsy
    3) top of the backswing - sets the structure for the downswing and, well, yours doesn't
    4) downswing - there's many thangs that go on here, one of which is the body doesn't swing together like you're doing..ya need separation AND having a vertical shaft plane ain't your friend 😉which in part is due to your one body start of the downswing move (fixing this right here will significantly ease your slice with your irons without doing anything else..heck ya may even start calling it a fade! 😄
    5) impact zone - it's skewed hard left and you're wiping across the ball (which will tend to lead to shanks as you're leading with the hosel into the ball). There's several reasons why it's coming across the ball, one of which is you're not clearing your hips properly and in fact you're swinging around the right hip, and any time you swing 'around' anything the plane of the swang moves (gets pushed away) outward then reroutes back in=out to in impact=slice. Needless to say, this is an effect caused by #4
    6) release - no need to go there but you're def holding off the rotation which only accentuates that left to right spin= slice!
    I'm still working on all of these thangs myself and see a lot of what I used to do in your swing and at times still resort to by improper muscle memory and quite honestly lack of proper practise. You have an athletic swing and once you learn proper structure everythangs gunna improve and breaking 90 consistently is defo in the game! ⛳🍁

      Very thorough explanation, thank you! I think getting a pros help will definitely help me a lot, really all about consistency.

    You should shallow the club shaft in your downswing. There is a million golf pros on the internet, they all have tons of tips to remember, and it becomes a nightmare in our heads. I like Tom Saguto style: keep your weight on the front foot, keep your head still, move your front knee down during the backswing to help the shoulder turn, no sway left, right front or back., hit the ball first, lean shaft at impact. I would have like to know all these tips when I started. I thought my golf shaft needed to be straight at impact (club head yes). I know a little bit of what's good or bad, I just can't apply to my own swing.😃 Mine looks as bad as Charles Barkley's golf swing, but my ball flight is not that bad, it goes straight.

      As long as it goes straight, doesn't matter how we get there 😅 this round was very poor for me, usually I'm a little bit better

    I used the r15 driver also, i could not do anything but heel strikes with the stock r flex motora f1 shaft! Produced a fade spinning hit with those exact patterns! I put a medium flex shaft, -1 inch on it and now my fade is slight to none and I'm hitting center and toe strikes straight 180-200 yards. Everyone says you have to swing like everyone Else but sometimes it is the equipment isn't right for you. Raise the loft, which will close the face and make your out to in swing manageable!

      @fromduffertodriver  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The driver is already lofted 12°, so I've actually lowered the loft. Otherwise the ball goes waaaaay too high and only 160yrds.

      But I never tried increasing it, so maybe that will help. Worth a shot!

    How’s your grip? Backswing is a little outwards. Need to shallow the club. Coming a lil over the top also on your down swing. Like to see you use a lil more “hips” all and all not too much needed. Also keep your head down. Love the videos. I like to see the progression! Swing well!

    6 iron: Goes right because club face points that direction ever so slightly, you also come just a tad over the top.
    Hybrid top: Your low point is being impacted by a combination of early extension (raising your spine away from the ball), chicken wing in your trail arm, which pulls the club up too far. Would also recommend you shift your weight forward, but since you never even touch the mat, this is mostly about the other two.
    3 Wood: that just looks like the club face went right. Both are coming over the top however.
    Driver: Over the top, clubpath goes out to in. Best tip I can give you is to place a ball marker two inches in front of the ball and one inch to the right (further away from your front foot), if you try and complete a swing path over both the tee and that mall marker, you force a more in to our path.
    The topped 6 iron that wasn't in the comparison also looks like chicken wing arms, and early extension.
    Trust me, I have all of the same issues. It's SO hard to correct it, even when you realize what you are doing wrong. Hit more into the ball. Aim for ball first, mat second. It kinda looks like you never hit the mat at all on some of these.

      Wow, really in depth analysis 👌, I think you might be right on the money with all of this! I have a feeling my swing coach will agree with you.

    Try to keep elbows together. It s a weird feeling but it greatly reduced my coming over the top swing. I found it solved my swing path as well. They have a training aid for it as well it’s a black ball and a neck strap.

      Easy enough to try out, I'll give it a shot at the range

    a little over the top, sometimes hitting behind the ball on three wood ( hit the mat before hitting the ball) You're opening the club up on the 6 iron. The driver , you're hitting the way I usually hit all my drives starting them out left and fading them back in to the right.

    • @fromduffertodriver
      @fromduffertodriver  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah you must be just as frustrated as me with the driver then! I hit a fairway once a round with that club... if I'm lucky.
      I need to find a way to stop hitting over the top, I think that's a common theme I'm seeing here in the comments

    I’m only 5 months into golf and don’t even have a handicap yet so take this with a grain of salt. My coach says my swing path is/was my biggest issue with inconsistency. I know videos will tell you to “shallow” the downswing but that only confuses me and got me doing all sorts of weird stuff.
    My simple fix is focusing on an “inside to out” path. It is exactly what it sounds like. During the transition to downswing, you want the club head to travel from your trail leg area towards to ball.
    I’m eager to see what your golf coach tells you.

    • @fromduffertodriver
      @fromduffertodriver  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Having a coach is a great first step! I definitely think my swing path is the issue, but I need someone to help correct me in person. It's hard to correct it when I can't see what I'm doing 😅

    @ozzieaz 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Honestly, the main issue is you're coming over the ball, from outside in, you need to come from the inside, look up shallowing drills. Essentially, you are both swinging over the ball, and leaning over the ball in some swings. Other swings you do one or the other. Drop the club back and down, before initiating the downswing. Pause slightly at the top.
    When you swing back, imagine the shaft is coming out your belly button. It also looks like you still have a bit more rotation left in you, tuck that shoulder under your chin.
    You also occasionally lift your head before completing the swing.
    You may find downloading a golf swing fix app beneficial.

      Waiting to be sponsored before I try downloading one 😅 good advice though, I'll see if I can replicate it next time on the range

    Weak Left hand grip, with a strong right hand is first thing to address.
    Then learning where the pressure in your feet should be at different times in your swing. This will greatly help with developing a smoother takeaway and position at the top.
    Reading through all of these comments might be another problem. I'd try to keep it simple. Stay away from watching TH-cam swing mechanics, and work with an actual human. Golf is such a game of feels, that a good instructor will just get things to click much better than peer advice. (But of course I offered my two cents, such is life.)

      It's good advice though. I will be booking a session with an actual swing coach to diagnose exactly where I can improve. It's interesting to see how much different advice is out there, it's very easy to get lost

    THE SECRET TO GOLF is the club is NOT designed to HIT a ball, like a bat or racquet.
    It is designed to brush or cut the grass. The longer and nicer brushes you can make, the better.
    Then just practice getting precise with where you brush the grass and try not to focus on the ball or hitting at it. Just brush nicely and precisely just beneath the ball.

    Be nice to see the swing from the front too. Definitely bending your left arm too much and looks like in your follow through your left elbow is tucked into your side, this should have more extension through your follow through.. imagine you're in the batters box and center is 2nd, try hitting the ball so it feels like you're hitting towards first this will give you a better inside out swing. IMO

    • @fromduffertodriver

      Never thought about filming the swing from the front. I need a 360° angle to figure this thing out 😅
