I have been using this method for the last two years. Love It. I do take it one step further. Since I have the time. After setting the scope. I level the gun and check with plumb line. Have yet to find one that was off. Oh yea, Tighten the screws just enough that the scope won’t move and remove the insert. Otherwise, it won’t come out and you’ll have to loosen to remove
I have done the same. Checked with plumb line and after a couple that were dead on. I stopped checking. Yes, I do the same on getting the screws mostly tight. This tool has been a game changer for sure. Thank You for watching.
Where has this video been my whole life!!!!!!! All this time something that made it this easy existed? My God I feel stupid. I've been doing the Bubble Level thing or plumb-bob thing for so long it's not even funny. I've even watched a billion videos on TH-cam on a "how to level a scope easily". Maybe change the title to easy scope leveling tool or something maybe it'll go viral. Thanks for making the video I would have gone the rest of my life never knowing this thing existed........ I just ordered it lol.
Lol, well you’re welcome and Very Happy you watched my vid and very happy you were helped. I did the same bubble level, plumb for a lotta scopes. This tool has been AMAZING.
I have seen this once before. Great idea if your gun has a flat base (picatiny). Not so helpful if you have a round receiver. Eg: 3/8” dovetail- many .22LR rifles.
@Galaxy_H yes, most definitely. I’m actually getting ready to do that to a Remington 700 BDL. Guess I should make a vid of that :) Weaver makes many picatiny rails for all different receivers.
Using mid height rings. I could see that using low rings could be a problem on some mounting situations, but I’ve seen a couple guys use it with low rings. Hmmm... Well thanks for the comment and for watching.
Thanks for the compliment. They are the Vortex Pro Series Rings 1”. They run anywhere from $59.99-64.99 even for the 30mm rings. Even after my boy took a nasty spill and bashed the Heck out of the front ring, it’s still solid but with a nice battle gouge. Lol. Thanks for watching.

Same here. Better than sliced bread. I’ve been plumb bobbing and bubble leveling for years.

But you can install a pica-tinny right and it would work?

Awesome review! What kind of rings are you using? I tried to use this leveler and my rings sat the scope too low to use....

Great video! What brand are the rings?

Had anybody that used these confirmed the level against plumb bob / flashlight?
I have, i threw my plumb bob in a junk drawer and no longer use it.
