I was there that night with my buddy Ludeman and a friend of his. Blown away by the 2nd set and proud to have been a part (however small) of Grateful Dead History! And yes friends, this night truly became historic. The roar of the crowd when we heard the opening notes of DS was deafening/exhilarating and magical all in one glorious wave! I miss Dead shows so much.
my best friend passed in 2001.this show was the deal.I WILL ALWAYS RESPECT HIS CARING OF OTHERS.one of the best shows ive seen.we spent time w best friends .we all have friends and all r great some not. walk by the line.realize what is important.that person might not b there 2mro. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND. DAVE SUTTY- MY BEST FRIEND. BE HAPPY 2 ALL .ONE LOVE 2 ALL. WE R ALL ONE
i was trying to remember, was i at first or this show and it was this 2nd show opened with dark star, was my first Dead show and i was in awe of course dosed as well which made the effects unbelieveable i swear i saw sound
I was there! I think? This was the show billed as "The Warlocks" because the BMW crew had clouded and infested our shakedown? Turned the Hampton, VA PD against us? I recall buying ticket.....no line at the Richmond,VA ticket office .....for less than 20 benny jooh bux. It was really sweet since the last show, before this, at Hampton we had to stand in line around the block, all day, to score tix. High times until the release of " touch of grey" and the onslaught of ivy league douche bags bringing heat to our, once, quiet shakedown. They ruined our quiet scene, and then proceeded to Wall Street to ruin our country with their crimes. I cringe when I see a "steal your face" during episodes of "CNBC Got caught...ripping the world off" episode!!!!! How dare they ruin our simple being? The preps ruined it.......they destroyed our economy........they stepped on the scene.....brought,unnecessary heat to the only spirituality we felt.......let them eat spoiled phish.......damn them all. The best player now will never be 1/10 the player Jerry wasis!

That deafening roar is what we lived for as Deadheads.
