    The more you put in, the more your students get out. It's so important to not just be given good settings, but to have clear, real world examples of what is actually happening. In short, why the chosen settings have been chosen. You, sir, are raising my game and I am very grateful to you for it.

    WOW!!!! One of the most helpful videos seen on 3d printing!!!! Here there are my values for Artillery X1 at layer 0.2: support wall line count: 0; support density 10%; Support top distance 0.3; support bottom distance 0.4; support interface thickness 0.6 (all); support roof density 50%; support floor density 30%. It's incredible HOW EASY they peel off and how good is the result!!! Let me know if that works for anyone!!!

      No, thank you once again for the kind words! I firmly believe seeing is believing. I know just telling people what the settings are doesn’t help them when things don’t work. My goal is always complete understanding. This topic was one of the most important hence the length.

    This lesson 100% needs to be mandatory viewing for anyone even thinking about printing. This is absolutely singlehandedly the most important lesson I've ever seen when it comes to printing. You could not have done a better job at detailing this immensely important setting. I'm amazed bro, truly incredible and I want to thank you so much for sharing this info and demonstrating it the way you did. Simply fantastic in every way.
    Also, how TF do you have DARK MODE CURA?!?! I can not fckin stand how white and bright cura is

      Also I have other tutorials going through Cura. Here is the one I explain how to change the theme.

    Truth be said, I had a problem getting through your long and tedious intro, however that being said I would like to add the following. This has to be one of the most informative, and clear videos I have yet to see on TH-cam. Clear and multiple examples, not to mention explanations that are not normally seen. Kudos and a big thank you.

    I had five minutes left to watch and just watched later. Your ending was very funny! I love how you ended with your last lament and then an abrupt beep! Funny way to end the video! I have about five models that need painting. I can't seem to stop printing.. I guess I'm addicted to the sounds of my printers whirring away behind me in my office. Love printing! Great comic relief at the end!

    Excellent video and tutorial, Cura will only lay support at the same interval as the layer height for the model. so in your case 0.1mm is the layer height so that will be the height at which the support will be laid. So a test of 0.3mm is a gap of 3 layers or 0.3mm. But a support height of 0.35mm will also be a gap of 3 layers or 0.3mm. The same as the 0.25mm support is in fact a gap of only 0.2mm not 0.25mm!

    Great video series, one note that seems to have been glossed over the support top and bottom z-distance needs to be a multiple of the layer height, or cura will just round it up anyway. so say you are printing at a 0.1 mm layer height, then your 0.35 and 0.4 are the same distance as far as cura is concerned.

    • @dinkyemg
      @dinkyemg ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @ItsMeaDMaDe Section header at 33:02 is likely a typo. Unless we are actually exploring the Room Interface's "destiny". 😉 (It is currently called "Roof Interface Destiny Print Tests".)

    16:00 the support distance is a multiple of your layer thickness. 0.25 gets rounded to 0.3. and 0.35 and 0.4 and so on...

    Just pay attention to one important thing, the SLICER rounds up the "Support top distance" for example if you choose 0.25, or 0.3, or 0.35 it is actually equal to 0.4 (two layers between the model and the supporting roof). Since each layer is 0.2. When you choose 0.2 it will actually be 0.2 (one layer between the model and the supporting roof)

    Hi, i tried to put a support cube above a normal cube but for some reason when i slice it, the supports don't get included in the slicing. It's like cura doesn't recognise them as parts. So I can't have a support structure on top of a part without something above the support. Help

    My issue right now is stringing. I have taken apart my hotend fully cleaned it new nozzle I have ran a retraction test and a temperature test. Each temperature and retracting test had a good amount of stringing. I tried old filament new and three different brands in all does the same thing. Do you have a video for perfecting retraction?
