Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous. You ask what are our favorites? From THIS list!? Oh man… all of them? 😅 I’ve got a thing for vintage Jazz, for sure, and need to back it up. Iron Duke is an incredible crazy scent that is somehow still “wearable”. Then there’s Pour Lui, Vermeil that you mentioned, Dryad is amazing, Des Cendres (the modernized smokey Devin), Azzaro PH is a classic, Smalto… OMG, just so many fantastic fragrances mentioned here I’m happy to own and sniff and love. A few I still need to get… An extra shoutout to Des Cendres. Every one from Les Abstraits is FB worthy and people NEED to get their noses on them. Eugen + Antoine Lie did something amazing here rarely found in modern fragrances. Backup bottle worthy even. I don’t ever want to be without them.
The les abatraits haters are just that ... haters That and I dont think if they are being honest with themselves they can say they arent good if they love perfume.. they are a perfume lovers dream🤌🤌🤌

Oh, picked up a little traveler of Opium Pour Home Parfums Corps. Also respectful. Said I wasn't going to, but man Joma's YSL tester of Pour Homme disappeared rather quickly. So I kinda just had to. I've yet to watch it but from reading the title, I'm really not surprised at your thoughts on them, and more so you've actually came out and said what my nose thought when I sampled a few some months back. You've also confirmed my suspicions on the brand Bois 1920 not being what they used to be, like creed. What is happening in the frag industry. It's becoming that once you get genuinly good stuff you need to hold onto it & make it last, as it may soon be gone, discontinued or replaced with an imposter. I'm loving this channel Ramsey, you've shown me that to my surprise, I've a good nose & need to trust it. It's crazy seeing that many things you love, I love & things you don'ts I do not as well. If I could get an original bottle of Guerlains SONGS BOIS I'd be Sokol happy , but the asking prices for it are beyond my reach. The Ambre Eternal you mentioned in past vids sounds like a winner also. I'm in the process of gifting an attorney living in Corpus Christi, Tx with an original bottle of Guerlain * NEROLI OUTRE NOIR, meaning "Extra Dark Neroli. Would you believe, last week, I was sent a full new bottle, in full presentation of * MIDNIGHT ROSE by AMOUROUD, from someone I've never met, nor conversed with. That's never happen, but I was happily surprised. Out the gate you're hit with a lush rose, which leans feminine. I like the dry down more so than the opening, as it gives me faint whiffs of TF * BLACK ORCHID. At least that's what my nose tells me. What a gift! Thanks for feedback. A2!

I owned * WET STONE at one time, but I gifted it to my Chiropracter for being a blessing to my health. Now that you've shared that bit if info, I'd not be surprised if those in white bottles were also in some way old TF discarded formulas. I guess I'm just happy my Chiropracter enjoys it & has gotten unsolicited compliments on it. He's an outdoorsy man & the scent appears to be suitable for outdoors weather in summer/spring. Thanks again! You're the #1 youtube frag reviewer in my book. I just may send you something in future. I've a vintage Serge luten bottle of * MIEL D'BOIS. It's one that you certainly need to be in the mood to wear, as the Honey note comes across very pungent cat urine like. Certainly only for die hard collectors. I've hardly worn it. Somehow, I missed this video, but it was a good one! While watching it, I was going through my collection which is everywhere in my bedroom and found an unopened backup bottle of Omar Sharif pour femme. I opened it up and dined it is pretty old 2002, although if you look it up it says it was earlier than that. Perfumer was Francois Caron and it had lots of notes too numerous to remember, including green, floral, orange blossom, bergamot, rose, Ylang Ylang, Orris, Palisander, rosewood, Orris, Musk, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Amber, Narcissus and green, powdery and anamalic touches. It is a small bottle and he also had a pour version. He version which I do not have. It is a small bottle (1.6) and is a dab on. It is of course discontinued, but now I know why I had the back up bottle.
I apologize for the typos and tried to edit them but was unable to. I did not “dined” it and do not know where that came from. I believe my bottle was from 2001 and I left out one note (tuberose) and perhaps more because that little bottle had lots of notes. Omar Sharif was an actor from Egypt and also supposedly an excellent bridge player. His most known movies were Doctor Zhivago and Lawrence of Arabia, among others.

Found testers of the muy Macho Paco Rabanne Ténéré and grabbed a NOS 100ml spray.. ultra cool bottle, love the floral & honey, the animalics..im already nervous about running out of it, I totally agree that it's a must back up fragrance, then I can share it more freely w/ the men in my family. I was thinking, will we EVER see this type of real masculine, BOLD stuff again, sadly I think not... once again a 100% risk free blind buy on your rec.. Cheers Ramsey

I know what you mean ... there are many vintage masculines that have that "accord" with no note listed... also check out my Tarragon video as that can also give off this spicey licorice vibe 🙏🙏🙏

My favourite anise has to be Lolita Lempicka au masculin EDP.. By the way, just scored the Flanker Azzaro pour homme l'Eau. Amazingly cheap flanker, it keeps that beautiful anise lavender from the original and adds a bitter and zesty yuzu. This is a good fix if you miss Rive Gauche as i found them really close 👌 nice video once again mate 🐏

Recently sniffed the new Armani Code parfum....bye bye anise and leather. Much fresher and still with that 90s vibe, but all the character has been sadly drained. Au Masculin edpi still probably my favourite designer use of the note, but vintage Azzaro Pour Homme is not far behind. Wore Cuir Cuba Intense earlier last week too and it was much sweeter than I anticipated. Tomorrow will be my last fragrance of Nicolai week to round out the sample set. L'eau MiXte on deck. Notes look promising and it's compared with Otto Kern's Cycle. If you're busy tomorrow, best of luck on your exam on Monday! I'll send you a little present over email tomorrow too. Something I put together just this week on my down time. You might find it useful. 😉
@@RamseytheRam I'm definitely picking up Patchouli Intense once my decant is finished. And getting a decant of Number One Intense too. Unfortunately, L'eau Mixte isn't really living up to my expectation. Very flat and minty up top into a slightly generic peppery citrus in the mid. But it does open up a bit. I like the grapefruit-juniper combo but the whole thing is really subdued for what it is. Good blend, but not poppin'.

Amouage Royal Tobacco is in my top 10 for Modern non vintage picks. I took the bus one day and she loved it. Which was 5 minutes after I got on. Much better than YSL Le Parfum.
That's not a fair comparison comparing it to the YSL... if you like Royal Tobacco and want an outrageous take on the DNA try Iron Duke by Beaufort... it's crazy... Tobacco Resins Blood Soap and gunpowder lol
The Rive Gauche in the tin can and square bottle with a black plaque are both excellent....but the one in the square bottle without a plaque wasn't so good.
