Clay Davis winning in court is terrifying, sad, dark, and yet hilarious all at the same time.

McNulty took the homeless man out of town to Richmond; he's got to hope the news here stays local or that the few people that deal with Larry don't figure anything out.
I appreciate Kima's arc this season. There was a while where she was turning into McNulty, and the putting together of children's furniture mirrors a similar experience of his from season 1. Bunk is also crushing it this season, and Bubbles still stayin clean!

I like what you said about Kima! Never thought about the similarities between her and McNulty!

Omar always reminded me of a sort of “western” type charter, a classic stick up man. His legend still strikes fear into others even though he’s past his prime and injured. Great character. I love that scene where he holds the kids at gunpoint , and even tho he has 1 leg to use he’s still carrying himself like he used to in season 1. The next 3 episodes are all time greats … can’t wait to see you react to them

I always love how Steintorff's first concern after learning about a serial killer kidnapping somebody is if the newspapers are going to run the photos 🙂 Love it. See the thing about McNulty and Lester's scheme is that it's proving their frustrations to be valid. Just look at how everybody is responding to this compared to a real killer they had ala Marlo. That opening scene alone...chile. Carcetti is being told how all the resources he's giving to the police to catch the "serial killer" is going to effect other budget areas within the city...and he proceeds to accept that consequence. Again...where was all this energy with Marlo? McNulty has the argument but not the right actions. Savino's death is so interesting to me. Like good riddance to him and all but Omar killing Savino always came off as another showcase of his desperate vendetta against Marlo to me. Like he was very much likely going to kill Savino either way but idk that kill always comes off as different to me compared to his other kills. It doesn't give "fulfillment" if that makes sense. He clearly wishes he could get his hands on Marlo atp. And so do we the audience lmao And chile Clay didn't just hire a lawyer he hired *the* lawyer honey 😂 Look up Billy Murphy whenever you get the chance and you will see. I expect some of my fellow Wire heads will break down that fun bit of trivia for you. That's how heavy the anchor around Clay's ankles were lmaooooo But as brilliant a scene as Clay's trial is it's definitely one of the biggest letdowns in the entire series. As entertaining as Clay is he is *still* a HEAVILY corrupted political figure (one of the biggest villains in this series) at the end of the day and he has gotten away completely with committing some absolutely very serious scandals and crimes, crimes that he will continue to commit until his dying day. THAT he wasn't lying about 😂 The ending with Kima and her son is *pure* heartwarming and never ceases to make me smile but you're not entirely off the mark for getting a foreboding vibe either tbh...considering what the final three episodes have in store for us lml
