i love the fact that you show and explain that when working on cars not everything is going to go smoothly. and that when something goes wrong you've got to figure out a way to overcome the problem and eventually everything comes together and you have a final product.
I actually really liked the final shot where you were standing next to the car with someone else filming. Hopefully one day you'll be big enough to get someone to film you full time. Love the content and the growth of the channel

Hey man love the channel! The old trick I was taught with pulling or removing an old pilot bearing is filling the hole with grease and getting a bolt to fit in the middle, then smack it with a hammer. It basically hydraulics it out. Keep up the awesome content!

I HATE those phone scammers. It goes in waves. One week no calls, then next week 30 calls a day.I would guess I have thousands of blocked numbers but still doesn't stop it. Edit: plz plz plz get an LSA blower for Miata!
The best thing you can do is not answer and not hang up. Just let it ring. But it's probably not going to help honestly. It's just will get worse if you answer or hang up. That is until the FCC creates the system to stop robo calls.
I kept blocking numbers until I hardly got calls anymore. I still get a voicemail randomly even though my phone never rang and its just a silent message or a quick 1-second message. Others I've picked up and just cut them off mid-sentence and tell them "Sorry I'm not interested" And those numbers seem to not call me anymore.

Dude, I am so happy for you man! The engine is in! I know there’s things to do still but milestone! I’ve had a few engines out over the years & when it goes back in is the 2nd best feeling! The best being when you start it for the first time & it doesn’t blow up or puke fluids everywhere! Can’t wait to hear it running or see you tearing it up! Nice 1 Taylor mate.😁👍🏻😁

You should grab the 1k hydralic table cart from harbor freight. I have an turbo LS E30 and dropping the subframe is easy but a pain to put back in. With the cart you can lift the car and jack the subframe with trans and motor into place without having to be on the floor. Worth the 200 bucks in my opinion. Awesome work. Waiting on word from the machine shop on my LS2 block before I can put min back together.

Im the same way about organization XD about to get some of the craftsman versa stack tool boxes so i can organize my tools and keep them protable still. Shop looks great. havent even got 1 minute into the video yet, about to finish it. Keep it up bro

I am not a scam caller, but I use the same kind of program that they use. It's called XenCall. It's an auto-dialer program for computers... So no actual phone is used. It localizes the area code to the number you are calling. Also it dials literally 9 people at one time, per person using the system. So say it's a floor of 10 people... They are calling 90 people at one time. It's ridiculous, but it works lol.

Not sure if you can with your current engine management, but with a belt driven oil pump I hope there's some kind of fail safe that kills the ignition if oil pressure drops.
Some custom made headers would really pull the whole engine bay together and give it that final touch
you really gotta build a engine table. we had them at a shop I worked at, made engines way easier. it's just a steal table on heavy duty casters. same idea as your doing but about 4 foot higher. so you can work under the car without crawling around while guiding in and bolting the sub frame up

You know how some channels have a running joke of always mentioning something in every video but never doing anything with it, like Hoonigan's Brian Scotto and Rail Car? I feel like Taylor has the opposite of that with the Hayabusa. He pans over it at least once per video, almost without exception, but has only talked about it like once. Every time I see it I think "power wheelies when?" We know you've had a liter bike or two Taylor ;)

I dunno if it was a state to state thing but it used to be no telemarketing calls to cell phones. It was due to the fact that up till bout 10 ish years ago cell phone plans were per miniute and costly. The laws changed within the last couple years and yeah now you get 5 calls a day to extend your car warranty or improve your credit score.

I get scam calls almost everyday here in Oregon starting at like 8am and it drives me crazy!!
You could've gotten the pilot bushing out by packing the inside of it with bar soap or grease and used a wood dowel in the center to force it out
Edit: Don't do this on ls engines or any engine that has a drilled through crank

Some other TH-camrs use bread. Pack bread in the hole and it will push it out.

ATTENTION: Do NOT use this method, or any other hydraulic trick to remove a pilot bearing in a LS engine.There is a Welch plug on the back of the LS crank. Forcing the bearing out with hydraulic force (works fine on old small blocks, but...) will damage the Welch plug and cause a huge oil leak! You have to use the correct removal tool. Do not listen to the guy who claims he has done it a thousand times. If you damage that oil plug (and you will) the startup of your fancy LS build will end up a oily mess and you will have a bunch of work to redo!

How’s that Milwaukee headlamp ? Seen a few reviews but what’s your honest opinion ?
I have the hardhat one, ben has the normal one. Hardhat one is brighter, and rechargeable, but a bit bulky, the non hardhat one is very small and easy to use. I would suggest the hardhat one though. and it's amazing. Multiple different light mods depending on what you're working on, easy to aim up or down. super bright, battery lasts a long time. I don't have any complaints other than it's size. Leaps and bounds ahead of the amazon special ones with like 3 baby led's. Regardless of brand, a headlamp is an amazing thing to have when working on a car.

I noticed the oil line you are using is braided stainless steel, make sure that line doesn't rub against anything because it will eventually rub through. I don't want you to blow up this engine too because that hose rubbed through a fitting.
I stopped using stainless and now use teflon braided. The stainless started to fray and man that shit hurts when it stabs you.
