    Thanks for this video! I'm vertically challenged, yesterday I was 5'4 by my measurement, today my Ducati salesman measured me at 5'8! My inseam around 30" So with the lowered seat & springs, I now feel that I can get the 937 & feel comfortable! I'm 65, love Ducati, and need one more shot at 2-wheeled performance! thanks again!

    Now I need the lowering seat, and probably the springs as well. Will try the seat first! Then I watched your video on installing the Termignomi exhaust. Now I need that as well. "Man, you guys are costing me a lot of money, lol." Really appreciate your videos! Still waiting on my bike to come to the dealer, & it's still February, so I've got time. Waiting on a helmet as well for my long oval head! Thanks again, coming from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA!!!

    Frankly speaking, in india if we tell our ducati repair mechanics and even if we show them this video, they will simply tell we cannot lower the seat or install the kit. They cannot even disassemble and assemble the parts. U guys r really experienced persons, a true mechanic. Thanks for the video.

    Hi, me again (same as below, Terry Mims). thank you for your videos! So, I'm vertically challenged, and waiting for my red 937 to come in, in a couple months. We're going to try a lowering seat first. I'm 5'7, 65 years old, somewhat short legs. Anyway if I need the lowering springs, I will (dealer) install the kit. I know some people are completely against lowering the bike (affects the geometry), but, if that's what it takes to get this bike. I'm not a racer of any kind, so I think I would be alright. I was also interested in the MV Agusta Brutale 800 Rosso, but it sits too high for me. MV emailed me back, saying basically they don't lower their bikes. But I do have a Ducati dealer here in Albuquerque, whereas nearest MV dealer, probably 500 miles away. I think the Monster + wins out!

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the lower seat maybe enough on it’s own , I’m 5”8 but as we are all different body/legs/arms lengths then it will be different for us , but see how you get on with just the seat and then see if you need the lowering kit :)

    thank you for adding this! i just bought one but it's a bit high for me. how many hours did it take to install the set? trying to price out labour

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Labour is probably around 2-3 hrs depending on the dealer, tbh if someone bought the bike here and ordered the lowering kit at the same time they would probably just fit it for free, or if they had bought the bike previously from them they would work out a fitting price , you would just have to ask at your local dealer and see what they say :)

    My height is 167 cm or 5'6"
    I m sure i don't need any lowering kit if they have a low seat which can reduce seat height by 20mm
    But i m not sure if i will need that low seat or standard seat is enough?

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally I don’t need either at 5’8 , Paul in the video at the end is a little shorter then me and he would have one, even with height everyone’s leg measurements are different etc.. best thing to do is go to a Ducati dealer and sit on one and see if you fell comfortable , if you need it just a little bit lower the maybe just the seat would be good for you

  • @waynerobertson511
    @waynerobertson511 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Interesting video. But how does it ride? Is handling affected? Is the lower/thinner seat less comfortable?

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks , Tbh just riding normally around on the road you wouldn’t notice much difference with the handling , the seat is a little harder being thinner then the standard seat but I guess the seat and lowering kit, either just one or both of them, if you want a Monster and physically need a lower bike it does work

    Can you lower the sp to the same height

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can have a lowered seat on an SP which lowers the Sp by 30mm , but the Sp is 20mm higher the standard monster anyway so not much gain, Ducati don’t do a lowering kit for the SP, my guess is you would have to talk to a Ohlins specialist to see why could be done , if you are in the UK you could always contact BGmotorsport in Northampton and ask them , they did work on my RGV250

  • @terrymims3350
    @terrymims3350 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Tell me if this makes sense. I've basically rode HD's, two V-Rods, & a Breakout. And all 3 flat footed, think I got a lowering seat for the Breakout. I got my Ducati Monster 937 two weeks ago. I have the lower seat. The 20 mm helped, on the balls of my feet. I've decided to go with the lowering springs, another 25 mm. This should get me flat-footed. Just feel safer this way, and I'll never put it on a track. No track around here anyway! Did you guys sell this bike you lowered? Any feedback on the ride, etc.?

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok , the lowering kit will help a lot to get your feet more flat footed , the kit and the seat was ordered by the customer so it was sold , I haven’t spoken to the owner but I did test ride the bike , not at any real speed but it did ride fine

    • @terrymims3350
      @terrymims3350 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ProjectMoto The only bike I've been able to flat foot is the Triumph Street Triple R LRH. So my Monster, with the lowering springs & seat, should be almost exactly the same specs. I've got the full race Termignoni, sequential front turn signals, front belly pan, Rizoma Clutch & Brake reservoirs, & Motogadget bar-end mirrors. Love the 937. And as always, thanks for your reply; really like your feedback, & enjoy your videos. Actually changing the mirrors, too much vibration for me. Going to CRG Arrow bar end mirrors.
