@Imran Kasen thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
If I had 700k collecting dust I'd have to own one of those girls, especially when she's sporting a 555 big block bowtie😍😍😍. I'm still amazed to see these trucks in action. 👍👍✌✌
You missed the satellite phone in the Pelican case on the roof....For when the stuff really hits the fan! LIKE IT! PRETTY AWESOME! Wish we had been able to see the motor....
I understand the extreme leading class components on this truck and the thousands man hours and R&D, but I can’t wrap my head around $700,000. Let my buddies and I come to the shop and spend a day of taking measurements and creating a full parts list. I bet you I can rebuild an extremely similar truck for $215,000.
It's just in gear ratios, change that out it will do 200 mph, but not good for dez racing.........am sure it's as fast as you would ever need in dez.....damn love to take it for spin tho,
It has a limit based upon horsepower to weight but the real limiting factor is aerodynamic drag. On trophy trucks, there's a LOT! 150 is a big number. You aren't going to do 200 without a windshield.
Why don't they make some kind of a wind shield out of thick plexiglass & aluminium loovers in front of the plexiglass or bulletproof glass. It's pretty obvious money is not an issue.
It's hard to get the weight on these things in the 20 years I've been following the sport. TT's are "heavy". However, the more you get into the physics of this sport the more you realize it can actually help. One part it helps is in sprung to unsprung weight ratio. But my guess? 5000 lbs. Wild ass guess. Could be more than a thousand off.
Other people in this class have said their trucks weigh around 5300-5400 lbs. So a little up or down from there. Everyone needs the same stuff on their rigs.
$14'240'000.00 MXN al tipo de cambio enero 2022. Lo mismo que un Ferrari, pero mucho más divertido a mi parecer. Lo único malo es que al Ferrari le puedes sacar placas, y a ésta no.
So bad ass, if I was rich I would buy this b4 a Lamborghini, hell chicks already know if your set so fancy sports car unnecessary, lol........and this you can actually use.......where you gonna take a street legal race car too? .......this just trailer out to dez and good to go
And that's not accounting for chase, tools, crew, food, fuel, tires, air support, logistics, and lodging. Another way of looking at is if you pay cash, you're potentially losing ~12% APY compounding worth in the market.
Too bad Desert Racing has become a sport/hobby of how fat your wallet is... The beginning '60's and 70's, even the 80's it was still a street based vehicles modified by the enthusiast in his garage....
You have no idea what you are talking about. That Dougans engine is over $50k with Motec electronics, the sequential trans is at least 40k. It's easily $200k just in parts, plus probably 3,000 man hours of work. Go ahead and build one and show us how cheap and easy it should be.
You find an electric truck that will go 150 mph across the desert for 500 miles and not have to stop and charge its batteries every 100 miles and I promise you the guy that owns this truck would have it. Oh what? ... you said "in the future" well this is now, and your electric truck of the future is not! What comes out of some peoples mouth is "Stupid pollution" (Lets not even get started on how much coal will be burned to charge your imaginary truck)
Portals on a trophy truck very cool!anything that helps reliability and suspension awesome!!!!👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Oh....697,000$ i need to buy this. Because 3000$ already ready. No problem, 50 years later i will able to buy it.))
Right on!
Robert is a cool guy , his shop used to be next to mine .
Finished 14th in the 2019 baja 1000
Now I know why the price of red bulls went up since they originally came out .
lol !
2.4 mpg and it's probably running race fuel. 90 gallons of c16 is what 1500-2000 dollars. Lol
Jeff Petersen their costs per can, about 6 cents.
BJ needs to get into the awd truck game
I want to see the drivetrain and portal axle detail. Way cool concept.
@@Jayda08 I've never seen portal axles on a mid engine high horsepower desert racer.

That portal upright IFS setup is LEGIT.
Absolutely Amazing....
VERY NICE RIG ......
Sweet! I'd have one of these trucks for my daily driver if it's street legal.

Ikr, they’re beautiful!! Brenthel Industries make one you can buy for about $235,000... I’d love to own one!
Since you know 18436572, can I be your friend?? LOL!! Amen brother! If you have a FB account, check out my Chevy Offroad Racing page!
@@JEEPmanDAVE that would be a 6100 truck. Not an unlimited truck...

Would love to own this. 😍

man.... that, thing, is CRAZY!
Way sick!
I feel a lot of 4400/ultra4 vibes with the mid engine and 4wd.
2.2mpg? is there a hybrid version that does 4mpg?
I think this may top the Brenthal trucks
Shit, that is some serious Technology!
Got video of this truck from Saturday at the baja 1000 in ensenada
Old MTB Rider 42 Bryce Menzies channel made one here is the link.

Will the offset rear axle be an issue? The axle offset Long/short torque issues. What is the dia. of the passenger side axle?
This truck won the 2020 Baja 1000.
They leave of the fact to refresh it for each race is 60k to 100k
Wow.

Yes but you also have to pay your tools, shop overhead, insurances, and most importantly pay yourself for all that hard work.
the parts add up too more than that engine, trans, Shocks, electronics
Curios how close the drive ratio is F/R Wondering if the front is pulling or its pretty equal.
Gotta be at least 70\30.
Rad
Damn I was hoping they turn the truck over and start driving around a little bit☹️
Also, what are the yellow and blue buttons on the steering wheel that are labeled front and rear?
I like the mud flaps, but they'd be gone in about 10 minutes in Ultra 4 racing
If the TPMS is anything like my Tundra the light will be permanently on but the tires are fine...
little more high tech haha
$700k and it doesn’t have massaging seats? Lol
Ever been to Baja, even in a trophy truck you get massaged.

Wont be long and these could be all electric with boat loads of torque

what would that gain? They want airflow on the radiators and cooling systems
If $700k is good for only 14th, I hate to imagine how much the first place truck cost.
It's all driver. Having the most expensive doesn't mean anything if u can't drive
It won in 2020 and Andy has one multiple times. You can't win every year lol. It took Dale Sr. decades to win a Daytona 500.

You guys still have shirts, I want one
What kinda shirt man? We have burro ones here trophyburro.myshopify.com
Do they run a limited slip diff or a spool in the front?
good question
Did it race the score 1000?
Charly Brown yes it did and finished 14 with Bryce Menzies as team mate and because of the finish Andy McMillan won the points championship.

Thats a $ 7,000 truck ! Not $ 700,000 ! Lol
the wheels and tires cost more than $7k ;)
Refreshing for each race 60 to 100k
For that to be $700,000 it better have a Hemi and not some cheap Chevy
Dustin Olney would want the engine to last the whole race, sometimes “cheap” is better
There is a reason that 80 percent of all trucks regardless of emblem have a Chevy power train except diff. Horsepower and reliability.
