I worked as a teacher for the rich of the richest in my country. The really rich families are usually dressed simply, they talk simply, etc. but they flew out their daughter's favourite teacher in a helicopter when she couldn't come to their Christmas house party due to heavy traffic. Also, they had to change the name of their daughter (my student who was in Grade 3 then) because she got kidnapped as a child. The daughter owns a twin tower in the financial district, which she could eventually manage when she turned 18. The child and her parents were very simple and humble. I was shocked to learn about the child's background bec the mom would come to teacher-parent meetings in very simple, ordinary clothes.
Somebody interviewed some super rich guy. He was asked about people pretending to be rich. He said, people say, if you have it flaunt it. To us, if you flaunt it means you don't really have it.
I agree with what she says EXCEPT for leaving a 50% tip. The wealthy people that I know do tip, but they don't over-tip. Over-tipping is often done by people who work as servers or bartenders.
When I was in high school I worked at Wendy's. You're right we tip very well because we know what those servers go through with some people. Just for that moment, you've put a smile on their face.
That's so true. Thanks for sharing. I get these people all the time. They talk about high-paying jobs, wearing fancy clothes, expensive bags, and tips under 10%. Unbelievable.
I think this can be generalised to many things, intelligence, sports ability, being good at a job. Those who are truly top level don't need to flaunt it, whereas the wannabies are the ones trying to convince everyone.
@Cristina-zl4xk yup tipping is not just a measure of wealth. It's simply character. People who are nice and wealthy tip big, peoppe who are rich and snobby don't care, people with no money but save for a good time might tip what they can and there's peoppe with none who also don't care.
Some famous people close mall, restaurants even hospitals only for them! And when they do that they have more paparazzi’s out waiting for them! They are attention seekers!

It's funny when people say wealthy people don't wear expensive clothes. Actually they do, it's just plain with no tacky logos & more low key luxury brands. Don't be fooled though, they will have a plain white T-shirt worth $600. That's besides the tailored suits they have worth thousands.
Those $600 t shirts will last for 20+ years. They pay big $ for quality and wear it for the rest of their lives. Good suits can be handed down through the family.
I worked on an airline and you knew the very rich… they would be in first class and all they would ask for would be a bottle of water the whole Journey.
So true. Only poor people who somehow make their way into first class get excited about getting the $5 first-class meal rather than the $2 cattle-class meal they’re used to getting. 😂 Rich people realize that all plane food is bad, including that in first class! They’re there for the larger seat and personal space; the rest of the amenities aren’t worth much of anything.
The value in first class , personal space, ability to sleep and relax on a long flight is worth the value to wealthy people in general. The value of things-ability to rest, dedicated bathroom is important and often wealthy people will fly first class.
When I was a FA I knew who was rich because ticket codes showed who paid full fat fares and who used specials. What they eat or drank nvr came into it. Rich pax tend to be messy in biz and first

The truth is that money can, to some extent, buy health. Medicine, procedures abroad, preventive measures, they all cost money. Perhaps money can't buy happiness, but it can sure as hell sustain it. And you can not convince me otherwise.
This is just cope. Health is amazing but living wealthy, not being able to stress about not having enough or NEEDING to work is great. Having the ability to better support those around you cause you have more time and the finance to do so is something very VERY few can do.
I have some family that are wealthy. I don’t know what they tip as I never see a bill when I go visit. It’s taken care of. Plus they are so nice to EVERYONE they come in contact with. Whether you are a server or a banker same level of respect.

She's telling the damn truth. I worked for a very successful restaurant owner when I was younger. Houses. Land. He had it all. Still does. He worked in the kitchen, real hands on guy. Often when he had a moment to eat, he would take some honey and put it on 2 pieces of bread and sit down and eat. I would ask him if he wanted me to cook him a steak and he would laugh and say no. I had asked him why does he eat like that. He said that this sandwich was what he ate so much when he didn't have anything, and he actually hated it, but it made him work hard so he and his family would never have to experience what he did. He is 82 now, and still, as she put it, an apex predator.
She is trying to say the wealthy are better mannered, than those seeking it or pretending and that is a mountain of BS. They are just as rude the world over.
Me too! I was a bartender during the nursing program. The "rich" would walk in expecting their drink to be picked up and some poor Joe Schmoe would actually pay his tab and tipped ne very well. Made me sick!
I'm just an ordinary employee but i always give tip and the amount depends on how I appreciate the service i received, i normally give10%-20% but sometimes i give more than 50%. It doesn't require a status in life to become appreciative and generous.

Armani actually has three brands you literally don’t even know what you’re talking about but nice try😂
@@TrumpyBoodenwhat are the 3 brands? Learning something new here.
@@lilarose9348 Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani and Armani Exchange

A friend of the family way back in the 1950s he always wore overalls cowboy boots and cowboy hat kinda gruff looking ....people use to make fun of him saying he's a old slob he's still driving a model T and smokes a stinky cigar....little did anyone know he was the owner of the refinery and worth about 130 million ....and he never cared what people thought of him and my mom always said he was a very kind person and always helped people without them knowing who helped !!!
Yep, correct 👍
Yep
Wealthy people don’t even go to Michelin star restaurants 90% of the time.
The wealthy usually have chefs in their own payroll
@@allwhatilove914 i think it’s a personality thing but I can tell you that wealthy people are smart about their investments and where there money ends up. Wealthy people know that 100 quid for a bite size portion dish is not a very smart investment.
True, the Michelin star chef go to their house
facts
Cuz they have private chefs 😂
I drive limousines for a living. My experience is that millionaires and billionaires are the worst tippers.
Best, tippers are blue collar workers from average neighborhoods.
Obsession with wealth led to the sad state of this world, and the constant propping up by lesser beings just makes me sick.
I was chauffeur to a multi millionaire. When I collect him from the airport. He really did look like a normal Joe. He didn’t have to impress . This man had 3 top of the range cars in his 3 garages . A Bentley sports. A 7 series BMW. And a crazy Subaru
Adam Sandler and Keanu Reeves comes to mind when she describes true wealth. Humbleness!!!!
Keanu actually dresses well though. Adam has a lot of nice things but dresses in ugly clothes. It's rare for rich people to not look like it. They are all competing at major events and galas.
Real wealth is in our hearts
, I'm going to get the power of your kingdom of heaven is with me so that I can do anything for you are so gracious and caring god knows what I need ❤️🙏
Real wealth makes no noise💯✅👍🏻👍🏻
When you have true wealth, you don’t need validation from anyone else because you know you have it.
I often dine with my good friend's boss who is a 9 figure millionaire. Dude is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Always super nice to the staff.
A Rich guy starts from his heart and humbleness who cares about the well being of those around them. No amount of dollars can change them.
