I have tried so many food changes, exercise etc. I spend untold hrs watching hormone videos. What I need, Badly, is a dr appointment, labwork etc. Cant find a doctor in north Florida (Smoothies & Yogurt- yuk) I already eat avocado, meat, nuts, greens etc. Nothing works- insomnia, weight gain, bad joint pain, brain fog depression...
Plain Greek Yogurt or Skyr with Ceylon cinnamon with a tablespoon of toasted oats. I’ve found it’s a good choice that keeps me full for hours. Love your content Dr. Taz. 🤗❤️
While I agree that low fat, overly sweetened/artificially flavored yogurts are best avoided, tbh I don't get the hate for the yogurt with 9g of sugar. This advice feels overly restrictive. If you add 1tsp of honey to plain yogurt (a very minimal amount, imo), that's already 7g. Another 2g could easily be naturally occurring lactose from the milk.
@@PsychoKat90 many diet fads try to tell us that all sugars are the same. They aren't, unprocessed or minimally processed sugars do not = white sugar, HFCS, even stevia and the like are way too processed and have no nutrients. I hope this helps.
Thank You! this was really helpful, i never knew i had to look at other things rather then just protein in the nutritional chart. 💗

this is for added sugar - not sugar naturally occurring in milk and fruit
@@DrTazMD ok, my point was adding 7g of honey to plain yogurt is barely different than yogurt with 9g of added sugar.

Full fat cottage cheese is also a really excellent source of protein👍🏼.
Increasing protein is about progress not perfection ~
