    The 1st one was my favorite 😍 I like that the dining area and sleeping area are in different spaces. No toys to haul but would like to make it an office and meditation space.

    For the Hike, you are supposed to get a single portable induction plate to put on that pull out worktop as well.

      Yes. I noticed on the Hike there was a tower of power right next to the tiny sink with gooseneck faucet. I’d worry about getting water in my electric outlets.

    On the first one the plastic drawers are a deal breaker. They don’t last, can’t be replaced, and are just cheap. Love it ❤ except for that! The bed works!

    I have to say that I like the first one the best, you just have more room to move around and I like the fact that it has a removable table that can also be placed outside. The power bed is a really cool feature and when it's in the up position you have so much room to put extra chairs or other items in there. The bath has more room to move around as well.

    KZ- I prefer the stove burners set vertically. It does add space. I can not understand why it's so rare to find that in a small trailer.
    I wish there were more tie downs in there, it doesn't look very stable.
    Hike- The kitchen on these always makes me feel claustrophobic. I do like the pull out counter.
    Missed opportunity, a cubby for the upper bed similar to the lower bunk is needed. Again, shy on the tie downs.
    Basecamp- ok, now we're talking. I love the windows! Great counter space. The net 'shelves' are a wonderful idea. I assume the seating area can be used as 2 twins?
    I didn't know they made toy haulers this small! Thanks for the info!

    Lol you are funny, u and your hatred of shower curtains 😂. I hate them too. I really like the first rv with the rap around sitting area and dinette. Also the electric bed is a plus. The second rv I did not care for the kitchen at all! The sink is way too small, no counter space, and where’s the cooktop? Is there one and I’m just bnot seeing it? I do however like how the two bench seats turn into a bed plus the pull down bed as well. I do like the base camp rv but for me it’s too expensive and too small. Love the video as always !!

    A lot to like on the E18 hatch. One big problem could be the CCC. Probably fine for bikes or paddle sports but if your toy(s) includes an engine you’d better look for a trailer with a double axle.

    On 1st model, the dinette should offer multi-function option of twin +/or full bed via (swivel, for bench access) table convertible to smaller size, so that a solo driver can accommodate a sleep-over date while settling for a smaller bed beside a work desk the rest of the time.

    I just can't imagine how a hatch is supposed to be better than a ramp. I can only guess they didn't make the thing strong enough to use as a ramp, so they just prevented you from using as a ramp by mounting it the other way around. KZ used to make the same thing with a ramp.

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  ปีที่แล้ว

      KZ definitely has a great floor plan. You would have to check with manufacturer about modifying. My gut says no but they might have a floor plan already in place that would work. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Nice looking trailers. I’ll never buy one of these and this is why. Weight carrying capacity is way to small. Need more capacity for a Harley, four wheeler, or a snowmobile etc. When you addd clothes linens, silver ware and dishes tank water and your toy you will be way over gross weight capacity. Also add a ramp of some sort. Better tie downs or e track would also be nice. I’d also like to see something that’s rigged for four seasons camping. Thanks

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's all fair. These smaller campers definitely aren't as rugged or built for beefy toys. They are more for lightweight toys like bikes or camping gear. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.

      I understand that. What would you consider small? Most TT with separate garage are going to be over 30', that we have seen. Grand Design Momentum 29G and Forest River Explore 27XLRE are 2 great options but a little over 33' Here's a video we did several years ago that features the GD model. Is’ my choice with your kitchen improvements plus a pull up counter at the end and…a pull-out pantry rather than 2” shelves. One more thing -why not have the toy door go down to roll on rather than up where we’d have to lift our toy aboard.

    When I am looking for a toyhauler, I'm looking to take my small motorcycle. It is becoming harder to weed out these videos that aren't relative to someone who wants a small toyhauler for a small motorized bike. There is something to be said for a door that can be made into a patio also.

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with a patio type door versus a hatch but I bet you could put a small motorized bike in the KZ and Winnebago. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    The KZ Hatch isn't any good for a motorcycle. It doesn't even have a ramp, just a hatch. With only 700 lbs of cargo capacity better not fill your water tank or wardrobe if you plan to put in any toys.

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The toys you are hauling in this camper are definitely different than those of a larger travel trailer. It's a great concept for light hauling like bikes and patio gear with the bonus of a hatch. Thanks for watching our RV tour video and commenting.

  • @brianhaygood183
    @brianhaygood183 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Airstream and others here pretty much prove that "Toy Hauler" means it has a door. Not a big door, not a ramp, not room to store anytihng. Just a door. Pretty silly.

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  ปีที่แล้ว

      These small toy haulers are not your typically size or style of toy haulers, but not everyone needs to accomodate large toys. In some cases you might just need to stow bicycles, a motorcycle or maybe it's just extra storage for chairs and outdoor gear. Having an additional passage way like these doors is beneficial and these campers provide D rings to let you tether your gear inside. So by definition they are small toy haulers. Thanks for watching our video and commenting Brian.

    All three are pretty much useless as a ‘toy hauler’…the base camp is what it is. An eclectic unit from Airstream. The first two?…what are thinking? A toy hauler should have a rear ramp that folds DOWN, so you can roll in whatever you’ve got. And the prices are insane. Over $40k for that ridiculous Winnebago? That’s just gross.

      I think most people prefer to have at least one burner for rainy day meals. Thank you for watching our RV tour and commenting!

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think I toy hauler is anything you can store your toys in. Not all toys are large ATVs. You can store all kinds of RV gear, bikes etc especially since they include D-rings on the floor of the RV. We were pretty sure to include the fact that these are small campers. Everyone camps differently. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!

    None of them appealed to me, the beds are all too short. The designers need to look at boat builders, they have better design and efficiency. They were all very bland too, boring. They need colour.

      A neutral background gives you the opportunity to decorate with the colors of your choice. It's the best way to go.

      Boats are much more expensive for that very reason. Like it or not, RV’s have almost become disposable.

      Color is what you add after purchasing. They are keeping it neutral to appeal to the masses.

    Toy #2 is outrageously priced for what seems like less then desirable. Honestly would spent 25k on it, that’s brand new. What a horrible concept and execution on this models top to tail involved

      I guess Winnebago missed some better opportunities in this model. Thanks for watching and commenting!
