    I have a 1996 Bronco purchased in 2003 at an auction in Arizona. It also was a federal (was used at the Hoover Dam) owned Bronco, it had 34K when I purchased it and now has 99K trouble free miles. Mine is a XL with medium blue interior and white on white exterior. It has a 302 V8 with 5 spd manual transmission, A/C, AM/FM, hand crank windows, full rubber mat (no carpet), and anti-lock brakes. I replaced the 35's with XL235X15's. Except for the OJ jokes, and people wanting to buy it, I enjoy owning and driving it. I couldn't believe FORD quit making them. I hope the new Bronco is not going to go the route like the "New Beetle" and lives up to it's storied history.

    I wish that I had never gotten rid of my 1984 Ford Bronco 2 (manual transmission). I bought it from the original owner for 900 bucks. I bought it from a family member who was trying to help me out. The vehicle I currently had was done for. So I needed a vehicle ASAP to get to work! The Bronco had no rust whatsoever. It had spent most of its life in the garage. And only driven in warm climate, so it had no rust damage. (My state is notorious for rust damage). Why didn't I just keep it!? I could kick myself now! But, I was young, and knew very little about vehicles!

    • @ChrisfromGeorgia
      @ChrisfromGeorgia 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My first vehicle was a 1986 Ford Bronco 2 4x4 Manual V6. It looked good, but that was about it. The ride was sluggish, and it was extremely top heavy. Damn thing couldn't get out of it's own way. It only had 40,000 miles on it when I got it. It was stock, garage kept, and looked like it was never taken off road. I paid $2,300 for it and thought it was a good deal! It was a sharp looking sky blue with dark blue interior. Looking back, I wish I would have went for the GMC Jimmy with the Manual 4.3! At the time I just liked the look of the Bronco better. Anyways, take care and I hope you have a great week!✌️

    Use to drive a '95 Bronco Eddie Bauer as a daily driver. It's red and tan with the perforated leather seats. Trying to fix it up now. It has a massive leak in the cal (I think I spelled that right. Basically the top of the firewall), and it's caused by a spot that rusted out. I have to find a F-150/Bronco tub and weld in that firewall to stop the leak. What sucks is that I let it sit for only a couple of months and it started growing mold in it because of the moisture (I live in Florida). So, I got out almost all the mold although some of it got imbedded into the leather seats and door panels, so those will have to be swapped assuming I can find identical door panels (I found a site that does the seats). On top of that, the transmission is getting rough, and though it can still drive, it will likely need to be swapped soon anyways, having almost 139,000 miles on it. Aside from that, the front bumper is starting to rust and one of the wiring connections must have moisture in it because the battery has a terrible draw on it (it has to be cranked every few days or else the battery dies). So, other than the bumper, firewall, interior, transmission, and a paint job, it's all good. Sounds like a great deal with a now 24 year old Ford 😂. I currently daily drive an '03 Silverado that was pretty much restored so this shouldn't be too bad I guess.

    I bought a 1978 Ford Bronco and it developed an over heating problem early on. Other than that it was a great vehicle. The dealership couldn’t figure out why it was overheating. (I suspected it was a cracked intake manifold), so I traded it off. I bought a 1988 Bronco XLT and at about 50,000 miles it started having problems. The intake manifold gasket needed replacing and Ford did a warranty repair on that. The exhaust manifold was unshielded and placed too close to the starter. It kept burning the bendixes out. I eventually bought a starter with a lifetime warranty and replaced it once every year or so. Bad engine design. The power steering hoses blew, the rear main seal leaked, the OEM front hubs were crap. I still loved that Bronco for the versatility it offered. Not a bad vehicle if you had the money to keep it going. I never had any luck with the 351 Windsor but I had a 1972 Mach 1 that had a 351 Cleveland and never had any problem with it. 110,000 miles when I sold it. Still running strong.

    Great job on that custom rear bumper, Kris! I notice you carry an axe in the rifle rack. 30 years ago in Montana it was common to see a rifle hanging in the back window of a pick-up truck. Haven't seen one of those for years, though, maybe 'cause times are a changin'.
