Nice ideas with good results, but while drilling your center hole at 4:55, might think of holding that piece with a squeeze clamp or even a strip of sandpaper, I’ve had disks like that grab and spin out doing a paper cut on steroids to my finger tips. Round stock always rings my caution bell.
Very inspired by these hacks! I gotta question about the metal post that was used with the lathe, are they easily removable after completing the piece? 11:16
It's possible to remove it easily. However, I think if too much force is applied when hammering the shaft in, it becomes difficult to remove the shaft without damaging the work.
