I like Leo Tolstoy quotes about this: “What is the cause of historical events? Power. What is power? Power is the sum total of wills transferred to one person. On what condition are the will of the masses transferred to one person? On condition that the person express the will of the whole people. That is, power is power. That is, power is a word the meaning of which we do not understand. ”
― Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace
“The higher a man stands on the social ladder, the greater the number of people he is connected with, the more power he has over other people, the more obvious is the predestination and inevitability of his every action.”
― Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace

That first quote would have been resolved if Leo knew YHWH. Wickedness counterfeits the appearance of the Truth, so the will of many concentrating into one to voice it is an attempt to supplant YHWH.

Your response also explains what is going on currently with the trends of social media and TH-cam, the so called influencers, you know, those on the top of the ladder, are just doing what they do because they are representing the will of the people, people want drama, degeneracy, spectacle, thus they are observing and acting accordingly. A famous example is nikocadoavocado.
A guy who openly admitted that all his degeneracy was an act to watch people behavior and their tendency to want degenerate stuff. You can only be in power if you give people what they want.

But Jesus sacrificing His life, taking every sin ever committed from the beginning of time upon himself so that we sinners can be justified and made righteous in the site of God is the greatest gift you and I will ever receive. So Jesus became what we are, sinners, so that we could become what He is righteous and holy. And through the grace of almighty God, through faith and trust in who Jesus is, the Son of God and what He sacrificed for us on the cross, and that God raised Him to life on the third day to forever defeat death, God will declare us innocent and give us new lives and a new purpose both here on earth and for eternity in heaven. The gift has been freely offered. All you have to do is accept it in faith in Jesus Christ. Amen.

    • @Windrake101
      @Windrake101 ปีที่แล้ว

      Except its not that powerful.
Almost all arguments against the existence of God pertain to the literalist interpretation. Not a metaphorical one. Dennis's arguments typical (but obviously not exclusively) deal in metaphorical interpretation.
Heck, in todays America, the much reviled "Secular" worldview, that Dennis and his type demonize so much, currently is serving the same purpose as 'Christianity" did for Germany according to Heinrich Heine. It will get ugly for the US if/when the Theocrat gets their way.

    • @Jervisdude
      @Jervisdude ปีที่แล้ว

If he is less interested in convincing people of the existence of god than the consequences on not doing so, it stands to reason that he is interested in convincing people of the existence of god. It is an illogical statement. We still don’t know if Jordan is a born again Christian. As soon Peterson comes out of the closet and let’s us know what Christian faith he believes in (I think he will settle on catholic) his wealth will grow. He can get lots of stadium church gigs. He can be in the Oval Office praying for the new Republican president-laying on of hands. His future will see a huge growth of wealth. The question will be, how much honor and integrity will he sacrifice in doing so. He has cozied up to a lot of nasty right wingers.

Clearly, the Germans were deeply humiliated by a winners victory (so much different than the soft treatment of France after the Napoleonic devastations in Europe - Vienna 1815), the harsh procrastination with the forced loss of many symbols of modernity (fleet/ industry) and a one-sided guilt attribution in the Treaty of Versailles - which was unjust.
They were depleted by famine, war poverty and the mourning for the losses in every family, in a war, they did not start, but was forced on them, primarily by France (Christopher Clark - Sleepwalkers) and Russia (Sean McMeekin), and they were deeply disappointed by the USA, where they had tried to convince President Wilson (end of 1916) to moderate a peace process like Teddy Roosevelt had done with Russia and Japan in 1805 - instead he chose to send own troops to Europe.
And so their feelings were disturbed and chaotic, and then came a Hitler - who can guarantee that another powerful orator and as well as sensitive listener would have emerged at that time, if he would not have shown up...? - who was capable of focusing their energies against a scapegoat ...
If nobody gets away with anything ...? why did France get away for their constant aggression against Germany, the war of 1870, interwar tensions (several Marocco-crisises), the war of 1914, the brutal occupation of the Ruhr-area - would there ever existed a sufficient breeding ground for the monsters of National Socialism, if other states, primarily France , would not have prepared it ..??? I really think it's problematic to always say that the main cause for the rise of Hitler was the "hurt German proud because of ww1". This is absolutely incorrect and maybe a little side cause. The main Reason was the absolute destruction of the economy during the great depression which hited no country as hard as Weimar Germany, which completel economiy was, because of the treaty of Versailles, completely dependent on American credits which then disappeared. So the complete economy, social structure and many part of puplic life collapsed, the result were millions of people losing their jobs, starvation came back, prostitution was the main job of females at the time and of course exploding crime rates. The gov was completely unabled to deal with the situation and Hitler took that and promised economic growth, stability and order to come back. Hitler never campaigned with starting a war or the holocaust, he campaignd with bringing a new government that rebuild the country, which he also got done in the first years. That's why he was worldwide so popular, especially in the US. He was new York times person of the 1938 and nominated for the peace nobelprice. He planned the war from the beginning but never communicated it puplicly, he first established himself as prophet who heals the wounded German nation and then took the cult around him and used it as weapon.

The west is still trapped in its pagan dream, when will it end?
The Romans deified Jesus to maintain their pagan, lucrative human-worship that boosted their economy but ultimately led to their downfall when the they fell too far in their self-worship.
This cursed interpretation of Christianity, which prioritizes human worship, statues and images of human men and women who resembles the people of their own ethnicity, has unconsciously inspired men and women to be gods themselves, creating the countries with the greatest wealth but causing even greater economic crises as a result! This twisted pagan interpretation of Christianity is followed even by those who are atheists, its the Mother of extremist leftist and right-wing ideologies, who all share the fraternal bond rooted in the shared belief that people - or at least certain groups of people - are inherently good.
They call themselves christians and wair the cross proudly on their chest, and they curse the romans for crucifying Christ, but they do not understand that they themselves are the pagan Romans, who worship images of themselves, human statues, idols, and sacrifice others for their sins! They claim to love ‘humanity’ in the name of christ but can only percieve the group they belong to as the true essence of humanity.
The western world has been in a cycle of Repentence, economic growth, self-worship, economic downfall, sacrificing, repentence.
Have they not nailed enough Prophets to their cross?
Have they not nailed enough syrians and irakees to their cross?
Have they not nailed enough Africans to their cross?
Have they not nailed enough Indians to their cross?

They eat themselves into nihilism, economic crisis and war, and can only be forced into humility by war! Not by god, for they think they are God and his angels. After sacrificing millions of innocent lives, they achieve an economic recovery fueled by humility and guilt, after which they shake religion off, and go for another round of self-worship.

The Heinrich Heine poem that Dennis Prager cites should be seen in the historical context of 1834, when the spreading of the French Revolution of 1830 into Germany could just be avoided by the German Aristocracy. The Revolution eventually happened in Germany and Austria in 1848, which is likely what is predicted correctly by the poem, but luckily it wasn’t nearly as bloody as either of the French Revolutions (of 1830 and 1789). Part of the driver behind the 1848 Revolution was a developing anti-clerical sentiment, described as the ‘broken cross’ in the poem. Great poets have a sense for the Zeitgeist and so are often able to give astonishingly accurate insights into the state of mind of their people. But there is no way Heinrich Heine could have predicted what happened more that 100 years into the future, that’s too much of a leap of faith imho.

Of course he wouldn't know the details of something like that 100 years into the future. No, but his prediction was right.

It had nothing to do with a nation vs nation or worldwide war, as well as targeting a specific group that literally didn't want to be german...
Prediction was far more so related to an anti-clerical revolution, one of classes, like that of France, which in ww2 terms would mean the Germans voting for hitler and becoming nazi germany...
As the initial comment says, it's highly unlikely that that's what he was going after...

    • @mpclepto182
      @mpclepto182 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The anger of the Germany people was quite possibly entirely justified. This is not to confuse their actions with justice though. The German people had seen the social destruction of Berlin (the degeneracy, pedophilia and sinfulness happening there in disgusts me to talk about). The Bolsheviks had moved into their land and were threatening to turn the entire nation into the same degeneracy that had taken Berlin.
What happened the German's perpetrated was wrong and not justice, but to suggest that it was purely due to the German populace's anger towards "reparations" is to ignore the truly awful truth that the Bolsheviks brought with them.
What happened in the 1940's was certainly partially a fallout of what happened in the 1920's, but much more happened in the 1930's to lead up to it. But this in an inconvenient truth that many today would like people to forget. Perhaps the best wisdom to derive from the lesson that was the atrocities of WWII is that 'an overapplication of justice is simply injustice'.
The German people were right to rise up against the evil in their land. And they did. However, once justice had been served, they failed to release their anger and pursued the next 'target'. In this way they showed that the 'path to hell is paved with good intentions'. In wanting to rid their country of an enemy, they became the greater foe.
This is the same reason why truth has no agenda, it simply is. Hitler, whether he the cause or the symptom, matters not nearly as much as each individual today realizing their own ability to contribute to that same awful result. We cannot change out this world's leaders, but we can change who we follow. And if we all, collectively, choose not to follow bad leaders we will one day have good ones.

All of the European subraces have always been profoundly spiritual and animistic. The 1930s saw just as great of a resurgence in the religion of the German people (whether it was Positive Christianity or those who sought out their people's original European religion(s)) as it did in terms of economy, technology, philosophy, art, literature, and so forth. It could be argued, and I'm confident it has, that the rekindling of the German spirit was the critical piece of Germany's re-ascension (gotta be a word for that which I'm forgetting) in these other fields.

Antisemitism existed throughout Germany, but the Nazi Party had its entire political philosophy based around antisemitism specifically. The only reason the Nazi Party was notable was because of Adolf Hitler. Without Hitler and the rise of the Nazi Party, Germany would have torn itself asunder between Communists and Reactionary street violence, as had already been happening even before Hitler was part of NSDAP. The Nazi party wouldn't have been a blip on the radar without Hitler, and so Germany would have probably still found scapegoat in the Communists, but it was Hitler who associated the threat of Communism with a Grand Jewish Conspiracy that necessitated their total annihilation.

He was manipulating the German people to take the actions that led to the Holocaust. One of his first acts was the Enabling Act of 1933. Essentially abolishing individual rights. A more eloquent translation of Heine’s words:
“A drama will be enacted in Germany compared to which the French Revolution will seem like a harmless idyll. Christianity restrained the martial ardor of the Germans for a time but it did not destroy it; once the restraining talisman is shattered, savagery will rise again, ... the mad fury of the berserk, of which Nordic poets sing and speak... The old stony gods will rise from the rubble and rub the thousand-year-old dust from their eyes. Thor with the giant hammer will come forth and smash the gothic domes.
The German thunder.. rolls slowly at first but it will come. And when you hear it roar, as it has never roared before in the history of the world, know that the German thunder has reached its target.”
From ‘The Pity of It All: A Portrait of Jews in Germany 1743-1933’

I would ask to change the question - the Jews were not reason for the holocaust - the mob and Hitler made them to scapegoats. If the reaction of the German masses were an aggression in search for an object - where did the aggression come from?
The first thing that comes in mind is the war - that was initiated by an alignment of France's and Russia's interests in dominating Central Europe.
France had already shown its older hegemonic interest in their declaration of war against Germany in 1870 and later in the Moroccan crisisses - when they showed their intentions bluntly to keep Germany down and out.
The respected military historian Victor Davis Hanson told in a handful of interviews about his sense who started WW1 - Germany, because in its September-program it showed a huge interest in occupying other countries for their ressources - but, the program came up after the war had started.
VDH's view is overlooking the works of historians Christopher Clark, Sean McMeekin and his Hoover collegue Niall Ferguson, all of them enhancing the picture by not ignoring a revanchistic France, an imperialistic Russia and even of a weary titan Great Britain who are as well if not considerably more to blame for the 'primordial catastrophe of the 20th century' - than Imperial Germany.
Even during the war, end 1916 to beginning of 1917 - Germany tried to bring the war to an end - by trying to convince US President Wilson to moderate a peace process. But the progressive Wilson did not respond to the German initiative and decided to intervene in Europe - on the anti-German side.
And so the war came to an end, in an defeat and a brutal winners peace against Germany, that was much harder than the the kind peace for France after the Napoleonic devastation in Europe.
Relapsing to the original question - would there have been an holocaust without Hitler, I think it could be better focus on the reasons for the emergence of aggressions in the German public after the harsh peace treaty that were targeted on the Jews - so, would there have been a Hitler (elevated to power by the masses) without that war, where Germany was made the culprit but wasnt the primary aggressor ...?
    No denying of Nazi-German crimes.

Back in Exodus' days, people held historical ways, which were the embedded core of many belief systems. Forcing people to believe in Jesus when at the core they believe in Buddha was reason enough to kill. Discussions on religion are only relevant after the stage is properly set in the applicable timezones where people had longstanding beliefs and for the most part, people were respected based on those beliefs, until the forced concept of christianity, which caused many wars.

Jordan needs to revisit the McMartin preschool case. Evidence that the children were telling the truth came to light after the preschool was sold in April 1990, providing the first opportunity for private exploration. TED GUNDERSON hired a team of archeologists headed by Dr. Gary Stickel. They used ‘Ground Penetrating Radar’ (GPR) recently developed by the US Army to define the location of anomalies under ground. Three segments of tunnel, one over 45 feet in length with a 9’ x 9’ room area were found exactly where the children said they were. The children identified an actor, household name politicians, professional baseball players, and professional football players. In Mr. Gunderson’s opinion this was a major cover up.

I don’t think Hitler was entirely wrong but he was a very bad person. He properly identified some problems but was entirely too cruel.

Mob psychology and how to resist it should be the most important focus of sociology. But it isn't. I have a niece in college studying psychology, and she HATES sociology classes because they are meaningless, pointless, and even insane.

It ended with a pretty decisive analysis of the real battle here. It is truly the battle between good and evil. Evil has many names for its leaders but the talisman of Good has only one: God.
