Hello everybody! This IP PBX Phone System tour is around five months old now. Do you think I should make an update video? Let me know your thoughts on what you would like to see in the next tour by replying to this pinned comment!
That’s a nice setup, also I have a question can you give any explanations or videos on how to setup a free pbx because I can’t find out how to setup a VoIP and it would be a big help if I can setup VoIP in my home, lastly I see your using free pbx is there any charges with that service?
FreePBX software is free at it's core, you will need to pay for hosting. I run it off my own hardware so there are no monthly bills. You will need to pay for your own phones and hardware plus networking, but after that it's just configuration. I highly recommend Chris from CrossTalk as he has great videos on FreePBX. There are also a bunch of other VoIP enthusiasts on TH-cam who have created videos on their own phone systems and I recommend you check out those channels as well. Good luck on your system! If you need help, feel free to reach out to me here on TH-cam.
Hello Martin, i really like your phone systems and i have some Cisco phone's that i will like to give to you if you're okay with that. i also have a amplifier and some Vtech phone if your interested in creating a paging system and i can show you how it works. all you would need to get is some bogen or atlas speakers. Let me know if your interested! MK Peterson
Hey there @IntercomEnthusiasts51, thanks for the offer. I'm not too keen on these Cisco phones as I've had a rocky relationship with them in the past, however, I am interested in expanding my current "paging/public address" system, right now I only have IP Phones as my paging endpoints but I would be more than happy to check out your amplifier. Thanks for reaching out!
Love this video! have a question, noticed you called an extension with a number and it rang then you called the same phone with a different number and it auto answered. It that a function of the phone or free pbx?
No, I got the FreePBX ISO file from their official website. I am currently running Windows Server 2019 on my server and FreePBX is a virtual machine within Hyper-V.
