In the real world it's so hard to find people that want to talk about this kind of stuff and have thoughts of their own and not just listen politely with a blank stare. Thank you for taking the time and sharing your ideas with us. The unconventional subwoofers I am always designing in my head are measured in feet not inches. I would like to get the world SPL record at 10 Hz

@@h8h81 Never mess with the seat bolts. Those are there for safety. Not grounds or grommets. Most cars have floor pans under the seats that are weak in the perfect spots. (Trucks with frames, not so much). You can mount one Pro version from Dayton or Aura under each seat. You can also mount a 2nd one under the upholstery on the back of each seat for even better effect.

It was a plexiglass enclosure to show off the servo motor. This was around the time PG had the 6 ch amp with its own shipping crate with high out alternator. I know this is an "old" vid but man, what a quick and dirty history lesson!
This reminds me a LOT of what PROBABLY transpired between Mr. Clark and Mr. Navone when they were making the infamous bread truck and 60 inch sub.....and of course legends Mark Eldridge and Tim Maynor were involved.
This article is simply amazing as lists some of the best contenders for the loudest shit or closest to the brown note...lol. I've read it so many times and maybe, this was the right time along with Robot's vid here, for pure inspiration.
Here's the link but just for ease of use, here are some quick stats about the Bread Truck....
    A couple of interesting facts:
The cone moves 6 inches peak to peak under full-tilt output.
The actual cone diameter is 54 inches, with the 3 inch wide surround on the outside of that. The radiating surface area is 2,290 square inches. That yields a one way displacement of 6,871 cubic inches. That is equivalent to the displacement of 161 ten inch woofers that move 1.5 inches peak to peak.
The motor is capable of producing 6,000+ pounds of linear force, which is necessary when considering the very large surface area and displacement volume required to produce high SPL levels.
The woofer was designed with the capability to produce SPL levels of 188 dB, which are entirely possible, given an appropriately built vehicle. It is simply a matter of displacement and containment.

Can you use a makeshift crankshaft from a car with fixed excursion. Just speed the crank up and down rotating in the same direction?. Just alter the speed of the motor to control frequency ? Maybe change the excursion with Nissan's variable compression technology that moves the center line of the crank from a fixed point. This is very interesting.

So when is that point anyway? When rolling ur windows up or down make a huge difference? My system hasn't always been so sensitive to that. But now. U set ur knob to full tilt with the windows up.. start to drop the window and it hits harder and harder the farther u drop the window. Till u find a point where the sob bottoms out... pretty much u tune it with the window... at what point do systems do that? 3k? 4k?

Nothing is impossible only improbable. Where there is a will there is a way. What do we know? What needs to be over come? Everything is a possibility. Carbon fiber is the lightest material, readably available, cost effective and is designed for the application. I'm the guy every body hates because I question everything. I like to get the best out of everything so it helps to know how and why things work. Carbon fiber is strong based on its weave. Carbon fiber can be used to build a complete car. The hood is a different weave than the fender and the fin to the defuser on the rear to the suspension components. I would love to be a part of this project. I'm no engineer and elementary enough to look at everything as a possibility. Ignorance is true bliss.

A 5 rotor model helicopter head can have wide fan blades installed instead of the thin rotor blades. Then you can just actuate the swashplate with a normal voice coil while the head is spinning and placed in a wall between 2 rooms. this will move tons of air even while oscillating very slowly. At zero HZ, the rotor is spinning full speed, but the blades will have no pitch. It’s the pitch that is actuated. The fan blows air in and sucks air back out at low frequencies WAY better than a cone can at those low frequencies. I think it would work best away from the listening area in an attic and have large ductwork bring the bass in. This would keep any mechanical noise away. It can be time aligned with a miniDSP without trouble.

I had a Phoenix Gold Cyclone .It was called a Cyclone.I met Dominic Bounancountri .He was the engineer at Phoenix Gold . Been to the Phoenix Golds plant a dozen times .When Keith Peterson owned it .It was PG and Carver Professional. The Cyclone was a good sounding woofer .It was just fickle .It sounded amazing in some vehicles. In others it didn’t sound that good .The reason why didn’t do that well .Is because back in the 1990’s people wanted loud and boom
That’s Orion had the XTR 800 watt woofer .JBL made the 1000 watt woofer
People literally had walls of woofers
That is why US amplifiers did really well .Because they would make 1000’s of watts
    Cheater amps were the thing
The Cyclone was to accurate for the 1990’s .It would probably do much better now .Because people don’t want walls of woofers .They do like exaggerated power ratings lol .I am just waiting for Power Acoustic or Pyramid to make a 100,000 watt amplifier lol .

Would it not be easy to just stack magnets in a huge, long, stack, add a massively long large-gauge voice coil and a composite carbon fiber/honeycomb or foam/carbon fiber mega speaker cone to it? You could have a 2' diameter voice coil. It would spread out the heat load nicely. The magnets could go on the inside of the voice coil, in fact. Don't need to be outside, do they?
But, in any case, just scale everything up massively, use a super-duper-stiff cone, truly massive surround of JLAudio foam (THAT IS A JOKE) and you are set! You can even build it with one of the spiders way up front, like a Stroker 18 (now that the patent has expired.)
It ain't rocket science. Imagine the efficiency of a 6X6' speaker cone! That's 5184 square inches of uninterrupted phonic acreage! To get the same effect with, 15" speakers, you'd need 30 of them at the same stroke. If the massive speaker had, for example, a 6" stroke, and the 15's had a 2" stroke, you'd need 90 of them for the same kaboom!
Someone is going to do this. You just watch. It's funny when a speaker is so large the car/vanis just a bandpass box with no vents, just speaker motor in the rear and people in the front.
The main enemy, I think, would be cone flex, which would be easy to vanquish. Then would come weight of the entire flip-flopping assembly, but, hey, you have 90 speakers' worth of weight to use. I think it's entirely possible. Hey, if you really want to make it light, use a dual-coil arrangement: coil on speaker motor former has current going one way, the coil on the spot usually reserved for the magnet is the same wire turned around to go the opposite direction! An electromagnetic subwoofer!
Then COOLING would be your next issue, but, with an all-electromagnetic subwoofer, you could have any diameter of voice coil you wanted, so that would be an easy fix. Can you imagine the precision if you had an all-electromagnetic subwoofer? It could be the World's Largest Tweeter!
