Awesome video. Did you get the chance to get back and eat a proper feijoda? I'm from Rio and the one from here is great. It was also great to see that you didn't stick to the beach only. We have beautiful mountain landscapes and almost no foreigner knows about it. The last is the south region. It is highly european-influenced, with awesome churrascos (barbecues), wine and chocolate. You'll find different "Brazils" in every trip.
The word "carnival" originated with the Roman Catholic Church allowing its faithful to celebrate the pagan festival better known as the festival of "carnal" desires. Hi, I loved the video, you are very nice and kind. Brazil was colonized and then had the immigration of several people from different countries, so we have several regions of Brazil as if they were a little piece of these countries, our southern region is also very beautiful, as are the beaches in the northeast region.

The Botanical Garden dates back to 1808, and it was established by the Regent Prince of Portugal, D. João VI, when the Portuguese court, fleeing from Napoleon, settled in Brazil. It was the first time in history that a Portuguese king set foot in a colony, and Rio de Janeiro became the capital of the Portuguese Empire.
@@rjmh3968 When D. João VI arrived in Brazil in 1808, he was the Prince Regent of Portugal. He came to Brazil to escape the Napoleonic troops that had invaded Portugal. D. João VI only became King of Portugal after the death of his mother, Queen Maria I, also known as the Mad Queen, in 1816. Until then, he had been governing as Prince Regent since 1799.
What a beautiful tribute they paid to Brazil with this video. Every place in the world has its problems, but here we have much more to be grateful for than to complain about.
Well. I must say that this was one of the greatest contents about the Real good side of Brazil i ever watched. Just watched the entire video with my daughter. Thanks for the content, and thanks for doing an amazing “propaganda” of my beautiful Brasil!

The Confeitaria Colombo dates back to 1894 and was ranked as one of the top 5 most beautiful cafes in the world. Did you like the Brigadeiro? It's easy and quick to make, taking less than 10 minutes. If you’d like, I can explain how to make it. Here, it is used for birthday parties and weddings.
Oh my!!!! In addition to having an amazing video, I had to come comment because I heard the beginning of the song “The resistance” by Josh Garrels!!! Great taste overall!!! ❤🎉😂😮💥🇧🇷🇺🇸😎
I am not sure if you weren't told, or don't know, as you didn't mention it. The Samba Schools start preparing next year's costumes and floats immediately after this year's carnaval. The people have thousands of costumes to cut and sew, and many floats to build. The musicians and dancers start rehearsal around December. In the rehearsal you watched very few people has costumes on, and not all participants showed up. A samba school, during carnaval, presents itself with some 4,000 people, some with 5,000, as well as 4 or 5 huge, and very elaborate floats.
Feijoada you can find friday and saturday at most of serlf service restaurants. And if you wanna try a more Brazil food, try the food from Belo Horizonte/ MG. Mineira food is amazing and its the place where all pão de queijo came from :) Glad to know u love our country. Come back whenever you want.
When going to a "All You Can Eat BBQ" in Brazil (Rodizio de Churrasco), I think it would be the best place to go with a brazilian. The reason for that is because there IS SO MUCH stuff (probably over 100 options counting buffet, meats, etc) that is hard to choose. And of couse nobody has the stomach space to eat every single one of them. Particularly, I didnt see you eating what I consider the 2 best cuts: Ribs and Picanha. Would also have been nice to try the "Coalho Cheese" that these BBQ places normally have.
O dono da Jardineira ficou feliz com eles comendo: banana, carangueijo, linguiça, frango e carneiro… quando passou a picanha e a costela: nao obrigada 😂😂
Rio is a must-see city in Brazil, I would visit nearby cities like Petropolis and beaches in Niteroi to spend the day (oceanic region: itacoatiara, itaipu, sossego), maybe more distant cities, I strongly recommend Paraty (south direction: some beach in Juatinga reserve) and Arraial do Cabo (north direction), both cities have astonishing beaches and Paraty has many colonial buildings. But Brazil is much more than Rio and Sao Paulo, and Amazon region. The two sights that made loose my breath was Foz do Iguaçu Falls and Fernando de Noronha (specially cacimba beach).
Love your channell! Think you should do 4 more episodes there, so you will have covered the 5 regions... As we say, Brazil is a little box of surprises... If you go back, please go to the South, where I come from, Iguazu Falls, Curitiba, Florianópolis and for the country cabin go to São Joaquim! I'd be happy to show you some places ☺

Samba School Parades are true actual theatrical plays! Each school comes up with a plot which will be presented during its presentation. And just like an Opera's got an orchestra, each school has their own "bateria"...
awww watching the feijoada bit is so cute. When you order feijoada at home, it doesn't look that appetizing, but it can still be pretty good! And that's a pretty normal way to ship it too!
11:17 "How is everybody in Brazil so fit?" Well... Brazilians are obsessed with being good looking. So, they go hard on the gym, running, playing sports, etc.. But it is true also that brazilians eat A LOT. I've been away from Brazil now for 6 years and what I miss the most is the food. I criticize Brazil on many things, but brazilian food, in my opinion, is the best food of all americas.
HI, as a portuguese i feel connected to this beautiful city, Rio, and also my memories of Brazil brought by the first and wonderful Bazilian soup operas which have been in my imagination forever, they were amazingly beautiful too, If you can try to watch " Gabriela Cravo e Canela " based on a novel by Jorge Amado, the writer. My grandparents went to the place where you are going in the 1960 of the last decade. They loved Rio and the sorroundings. They talked about " Cristo Rei", " Pão de Açucar", e Copacabana beach". I have to say that there is not frequent for me to say something about the people but i really liked you both, Sarah your excitement and your smile, ( you are a gluton just like me, I love pastry and i would have loved to share a brigadeiro with you, and you Christ, you seem a lovely man, I also loved that you brought your four legged companion with you, sharing with him your experience without leaving him behind as the majority of people do, you are special, congratulations to both.
Hi Alexandra! That was so such a sweet comment, thank you for much for watching and for your kind words! I wish we could have shared a brigadeiro together (oh man, that sounds so good right now!). If we ever cross paths in real life, let's make that brigadeiro a reality. :)
Someone should told you that you can go up the first mountain on foot, for free, ahd after 19h take the cable to go down. It's a very nice little trip, but they close the gate at 18h, so you heve to go up at 16h because it's get dark in the forest, it's take sort of 30 min to go up if you go direct. But to go to second mountain you have to pay.

There's even Snow in the south of Brazil. It's not all hot and humid. It was around 0°C last night here.
Brasileiro gosta de ser chato na internet cara, tá maluco... Os caras tão apreciando nossa cultura e espalhando ela pro mundo e vocês botando defeito...
You couple made the best video about my native country Brazil. Congrats!
Good to see you guys around
Thanks for watching!
Tive chácara por quinze anos bem perto dessa cabana linda em São Bento do Sapucaí, são montanhas lindas, com muita água.
It's such a beautiful part of the country! ❤
Cool video! Love your vibes! And your Portuguese pronunciation isn’t as bad as you think. Really liked how you showed Brazil to the world 🙌🏼🇧🇷
Wow!! Fantastic! That's what I'm talking about! Good job guys! 😮
❤❤❤❤ thank you for the video. I am proud and happy that you liked our country!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The image at 0:07 is from Fortaleza/CE (Praia do Futuro or "Future's Beach"), not from Rio de Janeiro. And man....after seeing that Cabin...I have a feeling that you guys will come back home with a new family member LOL
😂
The Botanical Garden dates back to 1808, and it was established by the Regent Prince of Portugal, D. João VI, when the Portuguese court, fleeing from Napoleon, settled in Brazil. It was the first time in history that a Portuguese king set foot in a colony, and Rio de Janeiro became the capital of the Portuguese Empire.
No, the first time a king set foot in a colony.
That's why many Brazilians from other areas don't like Rio. Too Portuguese for our taste.
@@rjmh3968 said 'king,' but I should have said 'monarch,' since he had not yet been crowned king... is this sentence correct?"
@@andrevmartin7943 De onde voce tirou isto kkkk, cara se mostro isto numa classe de historia, mesmo que inicial, sera motivo de piada..
What a beautiful tribute they paid to Brazil with this video. Every place in the world has its problems, but here we have much more to be grateful for than to complain about.
agreed! ❤
I've been living in Rio for 19 years this city has it all , I love this city , picturesque views
It really does! Such an incredible place to call home!
Thanks for the visiting my country. I'm very happy for living here!
Thanks for making us feel so welcome! We can't wait to visit again in 2025!
Well. I must say that this was one of the greatest contents about the Real good side of Brazil i ever watched. Just watched the entire video with my daughter. Thanks for the content, and thanks for doing an amazing “propaganda” of my beautiful Brasil!
Wow, thank you!
Tapioca is so good, I'm jealous.

❤
Amazing visuals!
Thank you so much! 😊
Brazil is my Land and Sao Paulo, my hometown…my country is amazing in some many ways!
It's nice to see y'all enjoying the trip in my country! Brazil is still very underrated given to the violence and stuff, but i'm glad you had a cool experience here. Hope y'all come back someday, maybe to Florianopolis or Pantanal Wetlands.
So good to know you guys had a nice time here
WONDERFUUULLLL!!!!
❤
When you said "comfort food" for feijoada, my brain screamed "THAT'S IT, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"
😂
The Confeitaria Colombo dates back to 1894 and was ranked as one of the top 5 most beautiful cafes in the world. Did you like the Brigadeiro? It's easy and quick to make, taking less than 10 minutes. If you’d like, I can explain how to make it. Here, it is used for birthday parties and weddings.
It was SO GOOD! Brigadeiro is now one of my favorite chocolate treats!
Desejo que tenham aprendido boas coisas e revisto conceitos sobre o povo e o lugar.
❤️
Oh my!!!! In addition to having an amazing video, I had to come comment because I heard the beginning of the song “The resistance” by Josh Garrels!!! Great taste overall!!! ❤🎉😂😮💥🇧🇷🇺🇸😎
Nice to see you guys here. Olá from brasil.
Olá! We can't wait to be back in Brazil in 2025!
So the Brigadeiro u até is bigger than normal but I’m really happy that u like it ! (Greetings from Brasil🇧🇷)
Thank you for watching!! :) We can't wait to be back in Brazil next year!
I loooove it! ❤❤❤❤
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I am not sure if you weren't told, or don't know, as you didn't mention it.
The Samba Schools start preparing next year's costumes and floats immediately after this year's carnaval. The people have thousands of costumes to cut and sew, and many floats to build. The musicians and dancers start rehearsal around December. In the rehearsal you watched very few people has costumes on, and not all participants showed up.
A samba school, during carnaval, presents itself with some 4,000 people, some with 5,000, as well as 4 or 5 huge, and very elaborate floats.
That's dedication!! We were so impressed by the level of detail and time put into the different Samba School performances. It was incredible to see!
Feijoada you can find friday and saturday at most of serlf service restaurants. And if you wanna try a more Brazil food, try the food from Belo Horizonte/ MG. Mineira food is amazing and its the place where all pão de queijo came from :)
Glad to know u love our country. Come back whenever you want.
Good to know, thank you!! We're actually coming back to Brazil in 2025 and Belo Horizonte is on our list of places to visit. We can't wait!!
So nice to see you enjoyed our country we love to receive visitors and rio is definitely really beautiful
We agree!
There is no greater satisfaction than the one we feel when we bring joy to others. I'm glad you liked our country. :D
We absolutely loved Brazil! We plan to visit a lot more of the country in 2025!
Thanks for a different take on Rio! I know you're from the South but a Midwesterner appreciates your style. Great video skills as well.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for visiting Brasil.
Thank you for having us! We love Brazil!
Obrigado por mostrarem o que há de bom no nosso Brasil! 👏🙂
❤️❤️❤️❤️
We'll definitely try and take a Brasilian friend with us next time!
Fantastic cabin on the mountain!!!
Brasil! Meu Brasil brasileiro!!
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for these recommendations!! We're visiting a lot more of Brazil next year (2025) and I'm taking note of these places. :)
Seham bem vindos ao Brasil
❤
Love your channell! Think you should do 4 more episodes there, so you will have covered the 5 regions... As we say, Brazil is a little box of surprises... If you go back, please go to the South, where I come from, Iguazu Falls, Curitiba, Florianópolis and for the country cabin go to São Joaquim! I'd be happy to show you some places ☺

Brazil is nice
It really is!
Samba School Parades are true actual theatrical plays! Each school comes up with a plot which will be presented during its presentation. And just like an Opera's got an orchestra, each school has their own "bateria"...
great video , you guys did in 15 minutes what others do in 10 episodes , cheers from Brasil ❤
Thank you!! ❤
Tudo incrivel... Mas a edição na parte do di café me pegou de jeito! ❤️
Thank you! ❤️
Loved your reaction to the brigadeiro 🤩 we're so proud of it!
So good!
Deus é sua Fortaleza e seu refúgio amém 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
😊
awww watching the feijoada bit is so cute. When you order feijoada at home, it doesn't look that appetizing, but it can still be pretty good! And that's a pretty normal way to ship it too!
We want to try feijoada the right way when we're back in Brasil next year! :)
Brasilian food really is SO GOOD!!
That's right. Morro da Urca is one of my absolute favourite spots on the planet.
Hike up there about once every week I spend in Rio.
Oh that would have been a fun hike! I wish we had known that!
1:25:11 It's called torresmo. Very typical as well - but not necessarily always combined with feijoada. Thanks for the video!
