- Removing spring loaded check valve on outlet side of injection pump fuel chamber. Purpose of check valve is to aid cold starting. Preventing fuel chamber from back draining after shut down. Yes, It should be the same set up. I personally don't have any experiance with Bio-diesel. Feed back from customers that have tried said the rubber fuel lines go to crap.
This is good to know cause I'm looking at picking up a Farm pro 2425 and I believe its about the same setup. How well would this run on Bio-diesel fully processed?
So, what was the HP tested on the dyno?? Was there a difference with the check valve pulled out?
This Jinma 254 / 284 has the Yangdong, Y385T, 3 cylinder diesel engine. The check valve has no effect on actual engine performance / horse power.
On this style of injection pump ...... the check valve is located on the outlet side of the fuel chamber on top of the fuel injection pump acting as a one way valve.
When the engine is not running ..... it prevents the fuel chamber from draining (loosing its prime). It helps with re-starts. Meaning .... the fuel chamber stays full when you
stop the engine. Cuts down on crank time re-filling the chamber. If the injection timing is correct on a sound engine .... I usually see around 28 horse power on those engines.

I hope I can get some advice from you, I have a 3 cylinder and was told I have an injector seals leak. I am burning oil and have 250 hours on tractor (2004). Do you have any input on my issue? thanks in advance, Jeff
