I spent 4 hours and almost £300 in the hairdresser last week to go from dark 4 inch block roots (Ik I let it get bad) to blended highlights, babylights and lowlights. I think the first person deserves a lot of respect for throwing in the towel. How many times, on this channel, do we see someone start a project with optimism, screw up massively in the middle, and then keep pushing through with that same optimism, having learned nothing? All the time, right? And they almost always make it worse. But this person realized she was in over her head and had the presence of mind to realize she just didn't know what she needed to know in order to not make it worse. She stopped. People never stop on this channel. It's so refreshing, and it's a lesson for us all that sometimes you don't know what the f*ck you're doing and you just need to accept that and give up. And not forever, right? If she goes to a stylist to get it fixed, there's going to be PLENTY of time to talk shop with an actual expert while they repair the damage. Then, with that insight and a little time to step away, maybe she'll be ready to try again. On new hair, of course.
I’m always amazed that people go into these missions without having like 42 mirrors set up around the room to see every angle 😅 I couldn’t even detangle without a front, rear and a side view
What did the first girl think was gonna happen!?!? The amount of people slapping bleach nillywilly on their hair expecting great outcome is just to damn high 😂

Moisture mists have been my life saver lately when I have sections not lightening as fast as others! Essentially spray down the section that is lightened enough with the moisture mist after you pull the lightener off and it’ll reset it in simplest terms. It’s stopping that processing while also bringing back the ph of your hair (little tip I learned, sharing with those who do decide to still lighten their hair at home, no hate I do it too 😂)
I freaking live for your reactions Brad!!! I’ve learned so much from you, and you are why I finally decided to go to cosmetology school!! I love your videos!!! ❤❤❤
I'm really glad I found your videos. I started off knowing next to nothing about hair colouring, and not having the courage to dye my own hair. But now I only go to my hairdresser for trims and more complicated cuts and colour combos (like rainbow colours) I've learned to take better care of my hair, what to do when I mess up (because of course I still mess up sometimes,) and how I can make sure my hair doesn't end up completely fried. Recently, a friend has asked me to do her daughter's hair, because she loves what I do with my hair so much. I'm a little anxious about it, because I'm used to my light blond to dark brown hair, and this girl has dark brown to black hair, which I'm not too familiar with. Advice on how to best prepare this type of hair for pink streaks are welcome, while I'll continue to do some more research of my own. After all, I wouldn't want to ruin the girl's hair, especially since she wants to show it off while trick or treating.

The "we want it coated in white stuff, you know?"😏 had my cracking up laughing! Thanks, Brad! Your bleach bath video saved me when I went front dark blue to silver. You rock!
i've double processed my roots before when my hair was bleachhh blonde. first time i ever did it & it looked so good. when i went and got my hair cut the following days after, the hairdresser asked me where i went to get my hair done. i told her i did it myself! she literally called her other stylist over to say "omg! look at this. she did it all by herself can you believe it!!?" lol. they were stunned. the girl was like, honestly, i don't even think i could do that good of a job. i don't specialize in blondes. ngl i felt so good at that moment 😌😉
I just did a full foil highlight to my adult nieces hair..essentially doing what the first girl on here wanted to do. However we took tiny sections, wove out pieces, foiled properly, rinsed out each quadrant once it had processed the right amount of time and yea it took us 8 hours, but it turned out perfect. If you have help and someone willing to help and put the time in it can turn out amazing. These people need help and people willing to take the time required with tiny sections🤦♀️
I’ve been doing mine for almost 20 years n it’s taken almost that long to perfect it 😂… I’m pretty decent at it now but oh how I suffered over those years lol 😭… the breakage, the gummy hair, the missed spots !!!!! Yeah …. It’s not easy 😂… luv u Brad ❤❤❤❤
I've been dying my own hair for like 4 years now and today I finally decided to touch up my roots to match the boring platinum blonde I've been living with for months to prepare for Xmondo's ✨super purple✨ and I did it exactly the way you said to Brad and it was the fattest W I've ever taken and I can't wait to color it in a few days. I feel like my hair doesn't match my personality or my colorful makeup looks and I'm SO ready for a change!
I bleached my regrowth for many years. A good mirror cabinet, some patience and some practice make it possible. I always startet at the top and worked my way down. That was easier for me than always pulling the next sexton down.
The last time I dyed my hair I took Brad's advice and started from the bottom.. i HATED it! So much easier for me to start at the top. Plus if you run out of product its less obvious on the bottom.
Brad I have excellent news. Today I louched up my own roots with bleach, and for the first time in my whole life of dying my own hair, I SECTIONED my HAIR. 4 big sections and splitting each of those in half. Brad, I missed no spots and it worked so well. Thank you for your drilling about sectioning, I finally listened. Not a spot missed!
Can you do a react or instructional video for older women trying to blend their half dyed/half gray hair to a nice gray color? Me and my mom both watch you and thats what she wants to do to her hair. I'm sure you have many older viewers that would love this.. thanks, you rock!
I used to watch these before cosmetology school and found them entertaining….. now it physically hurts to watch people try to do there own hair and fail so miserably
The black chic, kudos to her, at least she was sporting her natural hair look and not freakin’ wigs. She is working with what she’s got, even tho it’s pretty bad, she’s sticking with it. GOOD FOR YOU CHICA!!!! 💪🏻👍🏻👊🏻🤘🏻🫶🏻💋
You would be shocked, but I bleached my waist long brunette hair and then dyed it with 5 shades of blue and purple and it turned out perfect! My stylist even asked where I got it done, and I literally get compliments on a daily basis. Watching your videos taught me what to do, and more importantly what NOT to do! Thanks for all the knowledge you give to us diy folks!
May I make a suggestion for anyone dealing with the line of dark hair to blonde? You don't have to bleach your roots. Do a blend instead. Ellebangs has some good tutorials on here!
Yess Brad, baby!!!! I’ve always wanted you to do my hair. I watch all of your videos and every time I feel like touching bleach I hear your voice saying no, beautiful! Lol this was a great watch! You look great, I hope you’re doing great too! ❤
I'm guilty of at home bleaching, unprofessional af. Had 2 YEARS of regrowth.... I've overlapped and never had my hair melt off... I've been so lucky. Love your input and I SWEAR by t18 since my hair is so fine and already a "natural" blonde. It works so well for me. I'm sorry to disappoint lmao.
By natural I mean I was born platinum or what they called a "toe head" blonde. It got darker with hormones and age however my baby hairs always remained WHITE. So I can easily bleach.... ugh. Times are tough... but I wanna feel good and can't afford a 300 dollar salon appointment.
Kinda glad Brad wasn't around when I used to bleach my hair 10 years ago 'cause I did this all the time (with box dye lol) and this would have scared me to do so😂 Never had an issue with it tho
Would you ever consider teaching a one time class on color/beaching? Maybe one on cutting hair? Cause I would take all of your classes as much as I watch your videos :)
I do my own roots but since I can't see the back of my head my husband gets voluntold to help me with that part. He gets so much anxiety about it but he does it! (you gotta love a man who will help you with your hair)
Me and my mom bleached my hair from brownish red to blonde 3 months ago and today we were doing my roots for the 1st time ever (hairdresser is too expensive). I was watching this before the bleaching and i was STRESSED. Luckily my hair look beautiful now :D your videos are very helpful and i also buy good quality products that are still much cheaper than a hairdresser
I had some success touching up my own roots and blending my platinum blonde hair into my very dark roots with the use of these highlighter caps with some 10vol bleach and some mild highlighting sprays (like the "go blonder"-spray). It looked quite decent for a homemade dye-job.
I have been doing my hair for 20 years platinum blonde and my natural hair is dark brown. I found what works for my hair and I have never wavered lol. Seeing these fails shocks me so much every time.

Brad is my spirit animal 😂
Watching these videos have taught me to always see a professional.
You slaying those glasses but I miss seeing those beautiful blue eyes
Blessed and highly favoured, as an ethnic girl I'm 31 and was doing weaves since I was 14, no mirrors required 👌
Their*
Poor grammar physically pains ME.
Love these videos! Thank you Brad for keeping these going on!
The black chic, kudos to her, at least she was sporting her natural hair look and not freakin’ wigs. She is working with what she’s got, even tho it’s pretty bad, she’s sticking with it. GOOD FOR YOU CHICA!!!! 💪🏻👍🏻👊🏻🤘🏻🫶🏻💋
Brad, I feel you. I'm letting my hair grow out after having an undercut. The wait is so annoying but it is worth it!
‘I just don’t think ya have it in ya, I’m sorry’ well damn brad lol
😂😂😂
@@gemmalikestovlog I was like brad on the f it today lol 😂
Nothing I love more than people changing up their look!! Love you braddd 💓
it’s like brad knows when we need him 💞😭
Brad could put up a catwalk just with his wardrobe, his outfits are always so flashy fabulous.
May I make a suggestion for anyone dealing with the line of dark hair to blonde?
You don't have to bleach your roots. Do a blend instead. Ellebangs has some good tutorials on here!
I LOVE THAT HE HAS A DIFFERENT STYLE IN EVERY DIFFERENT VIDEO!!!
Girl in video: *uses hands to apply bleach*
Brad: *cries off camera*
Miss Hanna ( first girl ) is rocking it in cosmetology school. She has grown soooo much and is fabulous! Love her videos.
SLAY! Love the baby ponytail Brad! Yes!!!! And I adore your videos, they are my smile therapy on tough days. ❤
Omg I’ve been doing my own root touch ups for years and I feel Brad’s pain on this first video. I’m gonna cry
Would you ever consider teaching a one time class on color/beaching? Maybe one on cutting hair? Cause I would take all of your classes as much as I watch your videos :)
I love getting the notification for your new videos. It's like Christmas every time you upload a new one
LMFAO THE SMILE AFTER “We want it to be covered in white stufff……yk? 😏” HAD ME DYINGGGGG 🤣
We need a T-shirt that says I am mortified with Brad’s face on it shook 🥰
Brad today is giving me a Buffy and Angel crossover look vibe.
Hannah is studying to be a hairdresser now
This is an old video of hers. She is extremely talented
THANK YOU! I’ve learned so much since this video was posted
@@hannahforcier2.0 you're welcome - just thought its only fair to let people know ♡
Yay Hannah!
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
The last woman's theme was: how to look basically the same, causing maximal damage to hair and wallet...^^
‘Maximal’? That’s not even a word. The word is ‘maximum.’
I think she gave herself more root.
The last chick made her hair look worse then it already looked. It looked great before she started. She didn’t even need to touch it 😂
I had some success touching up my own roots and blending my platinum blonde hair into my very dark roots with the use of these highlighter caps with some 10vol bleach and some mild highlighting sprays (like the "go blonder"-spray). It looked quite decent for a homemade dye-job.
That video was so funny, especially the first girl, thank you for making me laugh ♡
I have been doing my hair for 20 years platinum blonde and my natural hair is dark brown. I found what works for my hair and I have never wavered lol. Seeing these fails shocks me so much every time.
Oh, thank goodness you posted. There’s nothing like watching other people ruin their hair to cure my own anxiety
Loving brads hair ATM probably my fave hair style of his so far especially with it tied up
Brad is slaying so hard honestly
The last girl just wanted to used all the new tools and products she bought 😂😂
This look suits you so goooooooooooood Brad. Baby hair bun for the win!
Is English your second language?
The second girl brushing her hair 😂😂😂
Lol 😭
Serving us Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer today.
Love the sleeked back hair with the white shirt and leather jacket!! Very Layne Staley
Can always count on Brad to make me smile ✨️💙
