Thank you so much. My gran died before she could show me how to use the machine. I inherited from her and didn't know what to do until I saw your video.
Auntie!!! Thank you!!! I've been sitting here trying to thread the bobbin just to start the stitch and I was about to just scream and anger but your video saved everything. Thank you thank you thank you!
I was having trouble sewing with my 830 record, having thread breaking and bunching issues. I'm a 70 year old male who bought the machine to start quilt making , but had never sewn before. You showed me in this video that I was inserting the bobbin into the case backwards. Guess what? Problem solved! Thank you! I've subscribed and will watch the rest of your videos to learn more about sewing and my machine Thank you. I was pulling out my hair and was getting to the point I didn't have much left.
Oh my goodness, so happy I found you! Just got my new vintage 830E and need to know all about it, you have helped me already! Now I need to clean it and oil it. I'm excited.l Love the way it sounds, it does not have that plastic echo rattle like today's machines do. This is a HOSS machine, can't wait to get sewing again. Thank you.
I see similarities with an inherited 817 model that has not been used since 2001. I hope that I can put it work after seeing you're video instructions. I just have to figure out why it seems to be jammed. Nice instructions.!
I also have a Bernina 830 Record. I would love & greatly appreciate a video on how to oil it and maintain it. I purchased mine used from Goodwill & it didn't have any accessories or a manual. Thank you!
Thank you, Madam! I'm about to go and pick up a Bernina Record 730 that was advertised on Gumtree and I'm so excited! I have a Bernina Activa 230, computerised, but have been reading a lot and watching plenty of TH-cam clips on how well the 830 and 730 machines sew: the satin stitches on those machines can't be beaten. Fingers crossed, mine might be working as beautiful as yours... Could you please send me a link to your other videos, if you have, on how to WIND the bobbin? Thank you.
Just purchased a Bernina 570qe & it has an automatic needle threader. Tried for half an hour to thread it (am sure there is a knack & it’s just practice) so frustrated and ended up threading the needle the old fashioned way.

This was very helpful! Thank you!! You’re right, these Berninas don’t ever let you down, if they do - it’s probably a user error 🤣

I just purchased a vintage Bernina 830. I am sew (haha) excited to try it out. Where is the best place to get a replacement bobbin case and bobbins?

Is it locked or jammed. Greasing it up and giving it some oil will go a long way.
Helped heaps thank youuuuu

Filling the bobbin?
I am loading my bobbin exactly as you showed, but my thread won’t pull it up. Any idea what Could be wrong?
Is your needle in the right way?
Make sure your thread is drawn to the left of the bobbin case before you insert it?
