    The wheel space is PERFECT. any less space and you have to drive even less slow on bumps on the road

    I own a 2016 sti and the only two gripes I have are the rattling and the low quality paint job. Neither are a deal breaker.

      Yeah nothing I go over in this video is a deal breaker, just a bummer. The paint is unreal...

  • @bethanybin

    #2 is a weird complaint. These are rally based cars so obviously they are going be higher than a typical sports car

    • @LousWRX
      @LousWRX 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, almost every AWD has a higher than usual ground clearance, and for me when driving throw deep snow or a slightly flooded street, I would much prefer it then being slammed to the ground with lower ride height.

    • @bethanybin
      @bethanybin 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lou's WRX yep that’s where the wrx shines. I mean I get wanting to lower the wrx to make it look better but it doesn’t make sense to complain about it because you know what you’re getting into. It’s kinda like buying a brz but complaining about the unusable back seats

    • @AutoEnthusiast
      @AutoEnthusiast  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To respond to all three comments here: I agree that a higher ride height is advantageous when dealing with deep snow or deeper water on the road, but for the most part, people aren't dealing with those scenarios. I suppose I didn't address the issue in the right way, the fender should have a lower exposure height. The well itself can be as deep as needed to deal with weather conditions, but they could have made the fender drop a little closer to the wheel. One of the beautiful things about these cars is they can be modified and still be equipped to take on the harsh weather scenarios.

    • @bethanybin
      @bethanybin 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Auto Enthusiast you make a good point about most people not dealing with snow. I, for one, live in California and honestly the wrx height doesn’t help me much either. My point is that this car will lose its heritage if it came low stock. You’re right about the beauty of the aftermarket parts for this car but I just don’t think it should be a surprise you have to pay to lower this car

  • @peteleigh3658

    I have the 2018 Limited WRX, but I bought mine because I live in the mountains on dirt roads with crappy weather! I wanted the WRX because it was sporty, AWD car, that's lightly modifiable, but amazing in any condition; and there aren't many CARS that can do that like Subaru!
    I am however thinking about picking up another (cheaper), more modifiable car for the summer!
    Really love your channel recently, can't wait to see what you have planned next!

I dont diss any build on any car because if someone put their time and passion into their car that shows a lot. I love the quote "Built not bought" because there's a lot of truth to that statement

    0-60 in 6 seconds isn't slow, drive any other $25k car and find out, have you considered the ride height comes from a background of rally racing as well as lots of subaru owners live in places where a squated car is the last thing you want to have. "not aggressive in the front" it is as agressive as it needs to be wouldn't want it to become a rice burner, your mods didnt make it more agressive they certainly made it more sleek though. speakers... fair enough but instead of buying a loud exhuast why not upgrade your speakers?

    yo man im picking up a 2020 sti tomorrow im so pumped. I was 99% sure I was getting a wrx but I went overboard haha. My 1st upgrade will definitely be the speaker system , Im a car-mod noob so I might need advice.
    Quick question, why does everyone swap out the muffler immediately, is the stock muffler really that bad, I don't mind that its quiet to be honest.

    • @AutoEnthusiast
      @AutoEnthusiast  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ya I got the kickers. I regret. They produce an obvious sound on certain pitches. I heard the stock are better. Should’ve put that money towards the sub woofer.
    Also, didn’t want the limited due to the moonroof. But missed on Harmon kardon’s. The sti even needs to use the key of the fob to lock and unlock door as it runs! Plus not remote start 😭 but I can unlock/lock the doors

      Its funny that people seem to think there is a list of rules for modifying your car. If you pay for your car I think you should modify it as an extension of yourself and not have to conform to a list of picky people who judge others modifications based on their own taste. That what is beautiful about cars. You can do whatever you want to it. I bet you don't even have a wrx or sti do you costas? Just sitting here cruising the comment section looking to shit on someone who has different taste than you do. Talk about pathetic.

So going from the infinity system in the Genesis to the wrx is like ear rape it’s so bad like words can’t describe how awful it sounds lol, first mod I’ve done to the wrx is the Cobb accessport to fix the awful stock throttle response, but next will be the kicker speaker upgrade kit because I literally cannot listen to music in the car lol Ive contemplated putting in a Bose Bluetooth speaker that I have because THAT has more bass in it and clarity than the speakers in the subie lol totally feel you on everything mentioned just needed something all wheel drive for the winters up here.
