Secret for long life is in their lifestyle .... they enjoy life, local food, wine, herbs, socialize, positive thinking, material thing are not in center of their lifes etc
@@anastasiapruitt8110 me too! i have very weak immune system so I am used to getting sick every month let alone the sinusitis that gets triggered by a single dust. But now, its gone, I can be around a gazillions of dust and I am still fine.
You can buy Ikarian honey on Amazon when it becomes available again and also at the following website, but they too are currently out: ikariahoney.com/order.php
Don't expect Ikarian honey to be a magic bullet. The people there eat a whole food diet with a lot more plant based foods than we tend to eat here in the USA. They are just one of the Blue Zones. Blue Zone populations live longer healthier lives and none of the rest of them eat Ikarian honey. www.island-ikaria.com/about-ikaria/Ikarian-Food-Diet www.bluezones.com/recipes/food-guidelines/ Blue Zone people eat a lot less meat than we do here in the USA. One of the Blue Zones is the Seventh Day Adventists of Loma Linda California. They live about 10 years longer than other Californians and are taught to avoid meat by their religion.
Ha ha ha! Find a local beekeeper who sells honey. It is much better and will also temper your allergies if you have any...eating the honey produced frome local flowers and pollen helps accustom your body to the local air. If you don't have any local beekeepers then I would move somewhere that does!! 😁😁😁
I took 2 tps of (Fir Vanilla honey, honey of life as they call it) this morning, which I bought from Etsy.com, it's from another island, but it is Greek, and the taste is amazing, but a little bit pricey... But worth it... you can also find Greek honey on Amazon...
ShakespeareCafe - I read that people who look around bodies of water live longer because it lowers the stress, the blood pressure, and that’s what happens with people who live in islands. It can be any body of water, creeks, beaches, rivers, waterfalls, etc. Looking or hearing it affects positively affect our body.
I’m sure their lifestyles have a lot to do with life expectancy on the island. What a beautiful place to be!

I just returned from Greece, I think it’s the food, weather and lifestyle that is extending their lives. Greece is awesome.
i want to live there
Local honey helps with local allergies. It's the pollens why local honey is better.
Ikarians are lucky. In many parts of the world, bee populations are collapsing due to pesticides and environmental destruction.
Where can i purchase the honey featured in this episode?
In Greece.
Terri Zone 6b - If you cannot find this honey in the USA, buy the unfiltered, raw, organic honey of any other brand. This way it is more nutritious.
You can buy this honey online at kliotea.com. I've used it and the teas for years. They're amazing!
me too, i buy from klio the honey and teas. And I never got sick since then
Anastasia Pruitt cool thx!
@@jesavel7426 Me too! It's crazy but I haven't really gotten sick in years when I used to get colds for months at a time.

That honey may have something to do with their longevity but ... their worry free lifesyle is more likely to be the reason .

There, I fixed it.
It's not expats
True expats work
This is the famous Blue Zone island of Greece. There's more than honey going on here. Go read up on Blue Zones...

Buy any honey that is unfiltered, organic and raw.
Travel to Greece, that’s what I do
Where can u buy it?? Not mentioned??
Ikaria
AS A MATTER OF FACT I COULD BEE LEAVE THAT 🍯🐝👀
Of course, there will now be a mass run on this honey!
Actually it's the olive oil, but that's a different story
Olive oil is the healthiest oil, but avoiding oil is healthier. Olives are healthier. Whole plant foods are healthier.

P.S.- Love ❤️ to Tom Brokaw!
Expect to see this diluted with corn syrup, etc., just like manuka honey soon.
@@Monster_Mover_Stocks this don't look like the same honey. it has a whole different packaging
Buy the unfiltered, raw, organic honey. That will be more nutritious and the regular ones.
I thought it was the tomatos and garlic

Twice as likely to reach 90? It's 1/20 Americans and 1/4 Ikarians. Thats 5 times more likely.
It would of been nice if they told us where we could buy it.
Jean Smith - I did some research and a good honey should be unfiltered, raw and organic. There are many of them in some supermarkets.
You cant really make yours whatever you see on the internet. This is a previlige not all of us can have
It’s not exported
uhh, duh! Where can we buy the honey?
Kilo tea company to purchase this honey.
