One of the craziest experiences of my life! So stoked I was able to create this film with you boys! One of my favorites we’ve made together for sure and I love how it came out! Here’s to many more!!
I absolutely love how many folks from Nepal are thrilled in the comments about this video. What a great job at respecting and honoring an age old tradition and culture.
Hailing from Kathmandu, the urban lifestyle I enjoyed pretty much never got me into the depths of my own country sadly. I've heard about these honeys my entire life but never really knew anything more. Today I see people like Cody, from miles away coming here and exploring our country's hidden stories, just blows me away. Thank you brother.

Can we take a moment to appreciate Cory here!! The fact that he was doing all of this, while trying to get good videos/shots and had to take on even more risk to film this video in such a beautiful way!!!! I cannot appreciate and thank him enough and admire his bravery (along with the bravery of everyone else in this video)
The Nepalese are one of the most humble, friendliest & hospitable people I have ever met. Your video is such an eye opener on this unique Nepali harvest of mountain honey. Thank you for this amazing video worthy to be in National Geography.
@@nimis2690 They deleted your comment and idk why but thanks for the answer. I thought they where mostly buddhists but i think both have no issues togheter.
Incredible story and film. If Ashdan is the last honey hunter if his village at least his work has been captured in such a beautiful and respectful way. His poses at the end were epic.
I'm a silent watcher I spend hours in yt everyday and never comment but this video I couldn't resist! This video is so well structured we have the impression of being there with you, the quality is impeccable, those shots that were taken are beautiful we really submerge through them! Thank you so much for showing us their amazing history of hunting honey,if it weren't for you guys I wouldn't imagine how hard and dangerous their journey is! Beautiful video, thank you so much for offering us this masterpiece (:
I am from Nepal and am genuinely speechless for the adventure you guys have done with courage. We are here ready to welcome people from all around to world with a smiley face and true hospitality from the heart. lots of love from Nepal.
Im not kidding. I've watched this documentary about 10 times, and it still amazes me everytime. The way you guys are able to capture this community and the tradition even with the language barrier amazes me. The art that you guys create, the combination of the skill of Cory and your ability to handle the camera, the editing, the sound, everything creates such a beathiful image. The most amazing part to me is how you can combine the style of documentary and vlogging without destroying either one. Beathiful!
Incredible! You guys have some of the best storytelling and this adventure is next level. I feel so weak watching these honey hunters. Btw insane cinematography by Cory!
This video brought tears to my eyes. I felt so immersed the whole time and did not notice that this was 39 minutes long. And Cory’s shots, are you kidding me? That’s some next level cinematography right there! Just pure talent. I can feel all the effort and passion poured into making this and I cannot be more proud. Yes Theory deserves all the recognition in the world. You guys are INSANE. Hands down the best storytellers and video creators on TH-cam. Please don’t stop making videos.
The entire documentary is absolutely amazing! I was like"wow", this is so unreal, how these guys managed to do that. But in general, even if you guys went through a lot the best part is always the safety of each and everyone. I cant help myself feeling so immerse into this documentary. I felt ive been with you guys, witnessing as well in real! I cant stop myself admiring the culture, tradition, their strong belief, and the people in it. How truly amazing they are. Maybe i am too late to watch this but thankyou for sharing this to the world. I really love it!
I've been watching yes theory for a very long time, but today, after watching this particular video, I am even more connected with them.🇳🇵 These guys always share the story of the extraordinary part of the world, and I think no one would have been able to tell the story better. These videos always warm my heart. I love you guys. You guys never cease to amaze us. And thank you for exploring this part of my country. SAY YES!! SEEK DISCOMFORT!!❤️😭
Being a Nepali, I was unknown of this magnificent story which I really appreciate you guys for bringing this in-front of us in such a beautiful way. Such a great story and video. Loved it. Love from Nepal. ♥️
Felt like I've watched an extremely high quality 40 minute movie. So thrilled to have witnessed this amazing experience you guys had! Excited on your next adventure!
Damn, Cory is just amazing! This level of cinematography in a TH-cam video is just over the top. Can't believe i am watching this for free, yes theory is one of those channels that stood by the test of time and kept producing amazing videos. If anything their videos have only gotten a lot lot better.
This is jaw-dropping! The fact that these people do all of this, specially Ashdan, climbing up that cliff with no safety net is insane... and just for honey. It's incredible what these people are able to do with their bodies and minds. They also seem so kind and nice. I bet you guys had a great (exhausting) time. This is probably of the best mini-documentaries/videos, you've done. Great job to every one involve in the making of this video and props to Cory for having the balls to climb down just to get those shots! Simply, fenomenal!
Human bodies and minds have so much potential. It can do wonders when you train and push the limits continuously. Sadly the humankind has been only pushing their tolerance limits on a desk for half the day for their whole life these days.
This has got to be the craziest story you've told/shared so far. Multiple times throughout the video, my jaw dropped. What an incredible and rare experience. Wow! Thank you for your powerful storytelling and sharing this with us!

As someone from the khambu community I am so grateful you showed our culture with all our shamanistic rituals which is the biggest part of our culture and religion 🫶🤗
This is such an epic documentary! Yes Theory never fails to amaze me. That village in Nepal is so beautiful, looks so peaceful, rich of culture and tradition. That honey must be so delicious, no wonder some of the honey's are so expensive seeing how difficult it is to obtain! Thank you for bringing this story to us. The world is full of wonders and is truly beautiful.
Don't think it's made to be spread on toast! I just watched Joe Rogan with the guy from Best Ever Food review show and how he explains its effects is quite scary.
The first person to start harvesting this honey and start this tradition must have been 10x as mad. Truly amazing, glad this was captured for all to see.
Automatic thumbs down. There was already a documentary on this. This is simply just copying such documentary. Its like if someone just went back and filmed all the animals that national geographic did. But anything for ad money right.
@@TheJusnic82 in all fairness, this is like a carbon copy of the video Vice made about it like 7 years ago. At least the pyramid videos bring something new to the table, even if they are not evidence based and are just pure speculation.
Dang, this was packed of so much danger and discomfort! What an incredibly unique experience but one I rather watch than attempt myself voluntarily. Learning from your guys' story-telling. All those leeches alone would have driven me crazy to begin with, plus the bees, and the constant danger of slipping on those paths or sledding off the muddy road. You guys are incredibly brave (and truly crazy at times)!
As someone who's been following Yes Theory for years and years now. I am happier than ever to finally see you guys exploring Nepal. Thankyou so much and hope you'd come back again for exploring more of Nepal🇳🇵 Much love✨❤️
Ahhh yes.... Nepal. One of the most beautiful places on this planet. Some of the happiest and humblest people I have ever met. The contrast of Kathmandu´s chaos and then the silence up in the mountains. I am happy you had the chance to experience such an intense and intimite visit. And in the middle of monsoon season, you got lucky to see such an amazing panorama of the everest region. For me, the Himalayas humbled me to the core. Humans are just little dots on an ancient mountain face. We can only stand there for a blink of time and take in the beauty. If I could, I´d go back right now.
There is something so authentic and real about this film. Not tacky cinematics but a superb documentary on things that are actually so inspiring and spirit-enticing travels! Can’t thank y’all enough for showing and sharing this ❤️❤️
Coming from the Rai community it is indeed a very good documentation of our culture which is on the verge of going extinct. Thank you so much for documenting one of the last honey hunters of our tribe
Yeah that's literally all done for them by professionals and sponsors paying for everything. All those 2 guys did was complain throughout the video. About leeches and bees, actually saying that in a full beesuit while a guy is barefoot, barehands, no safety literally hanging a bamboo strain away from death hanging what at least 50 yards+ in the air while accepting a full on bee attack with 200 bees actually stinging him. So hypocritical with that positivity speech towards the end as he complained throughout the whole thing and literally has done nothing apart from walking with a go-pro. That's all facts too and what baffles me tbh.
@@dwoolaver1549 exactly the locals who made it all happen probably got very little of anything for their efforts & exploration. Fucking regular TH-cam video these days nothing exceptional whatsoever here. “The fact that” comments are over the top, corny & played out. Bunch of parrots.
Being a Nepali myself I’m proud to see these indigenous people who work day and night to keep their tradition alive. Thanks fellas for covering and creating such a wonderful content. We Nepalis appreciate it.
Absolutely adoring the content since the reset. I feel like you’ve hit your stride of telling stories with such a sincere heart. The pacing of the video was brilliant. Less about sensationalism and more about the journey and the people (including yourselves). Not to mention the cinematography (chefs kiss). Such stunning alchemy. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.

Having been to Nepal several times and trekked into remote areas of the Himalayas, I can say this film captures the country and its people better than any I have seen before it. Masterful. Thank you for allowing me to relive so many wonderful memories through your mad honey adventure.
35:00 When he said, "What dangerous thing isn't here?" It suddenly reminded me of Amazon forest. This place is not less than that. I'm amazed as how Nepal with such a small area as compared to other countries has lots of diversity ranging from culture to climatic conditions.
THIS IS SO GNARLY !!!! These guys are so brave. It’s so cool to see a generational tradition from a country on the other side of the world. To see how we live in todays society and then get a glimpse into their lives and how they live is a beautiful thing man. 🙏🏽
This is by far one of the most incredible experiences I've observed through someones eyes, it truly shows how these videos bring people into unity and curiosity instead of judgement for the unique ways of humans and their relationship with mother Gaia. It's beautiful and I am so grateful to witness it. Much love Yes team
When Thomas asked at the end, "Where is your next adventure going to be?", my 95-year-old mother (who has lived an unusual and adventurous life, including 3 months of jungle survival training in the jungles of Mexico in the 1950's) replied, "Not there." Excellent job all of you! Love your videos!
You all continue to inspire, educate, and amaze us! Another fantastic episode you guys 👏🏻. Thanks for bringing us along for the adventure and sparing us the 4 days of intense travel, leech bites, and bee stings 😆
Indians go through so much to provide for the world from the children in the mines getting minerals for makeup, from making tea to now this they really are so special😭😭😭🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thomas always selects positive friends. I think he has to lol, given that he will always eventually ask on or several of them to do something crazy. He didn't even get a sponsor for this video due to the high risk. But, his friends really put their trust in him and had an experience, despite the high level of risk.
"The last honey hunters" : One of the best videos on TH-cam! Yes, you're right- how beautiful our world is and all different cultures. Thank you so much.👍 👍 👍
I've followed you guys for years, and this is one of the most gripping stories I've seen come from this channel so far. As a filmmaker, this is such a well filmed and edited piece of work! Great storytelling all around. I was literally on the edge of my seat! Thank you so much for the insight you share and keep up the amazing work.
This episode blew me away. Incredible how emotional and inspiring a honey harvest could be. Thank you for "seeking discomfort" and love in the world... and sharing it with all of us. Be well and Stay Safe.
"We may have witnessed the last honey hunter" hits so differently. We need to preserve this video for generations who may find insight into a livelihood that is different from the norm.
wonder if having 3 people from across the world come document the last one to exist inspired someone from that village to carry on the tradition a little longer
what a beautiful culture, religion and history. they seem like the most genuine, kind, hospitable people. thank you for making this and letting us see what practices these people partake in :-) you seem incredibly respectful and i am absolutely subscribing. and thank you to the people of nepal for letting outsiders come and see how you do things. i wish you endless happiness, prosperity and welfare from your friends in australia and across the world!
This might be the best video from the last 2 years of Yes Theory adventures! Question: Did you by any chance had a detour in India before landing in Kathmandu?
So glad you finally went to Nepal. This beautiful country was my first experience travelling outside of my home country. I stayed in a remote village much like this for three months building clean water facilities. The experience completely changed my life. Sadly, the charirty that organised the project and many more like it went insolvent and shut down last month. R.I.P Raleigh International, it's a shame the UK goverment decided to withdraw funding despite all the good that came from their existence.
@@GroteGlon The biggest way is that working in the village school teaching hygiene made me want to switch careers to international teaching. I've since worked as a teacher in the UK, Japan, China and I'm currently working on my visa paperwork for Taiwan.
@oliverpicken3320 I am a middle school public educator here in the US, and I can say that a visit I took to Belize and a poor school I visited with other teachers broke my heart. We played with the kids at recess and they showed us their art. They did a cultural dance for us. I can see how you would fall in love with teaching. These kids were eager to learn but had zero technology.
Truly at a loss for words about this amazing experience documented. It's so cool to see this tradition that has been passed down through generations. Probs to you all for the excellent production and openly capturing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for everyone to see! :)

I watched another documentary on the Nepal Honey Hunters and although it was interesting and had some very pertinent information, the difference I noticed is that, the other documentary left me feeling like I was watching very strange and foreign beings. I felt very disconnected. You brought out the human side of things and I felt like, although the people have very distinct traditions and different ways of living, we are very much the same. I got to know the people you connected with and saw the humanity through it all. For such young people you have so much wisdom and humanity! Thanks for that! bonne continuation, les gars! MERCI
Epic! Nepalese people seem so genuine and happy, brings a tear to my eye. Have a feeling that all those village people, who helped these guys make this happen were looked after with more money they would be able to spend..hopefully.

@@pb9405 long story short. My wife and I had the opportunity to remove my nephews from a place they shouldn't ever have been in and we decided to do it. We had 3 children of our own which 2 were much older than our 3rd who's only 2 to 5 years older than my nephews. We did have plans to travel and see things as my children are grown or nearly adult age. We felt it was our responsibility to make sure they didnt go to foster homes or with their biological father, no need to go into details but he should be worm food for his actions against them. It was a choice we made that I have no regrets over and would not change if I had to do it all over again... And recently we also had taken care of my grandmother and mother in our home until their passing. Which sadly happened within 2 months of each other my grandmother to old age and my mother to a long hard fought battle with cancer they both passed as peacefully as possible in their own beds in the arms of those that loved them. I couldn't think of a better way to honor them and show my love and respect for them. You see sir sometimes we just arent given the opportunity to just go do it so we watch, learn and hope that one day we can. Sorry said it was going to be a long story short lol it kinda was though. they just do a normal vlog
“The fact that” guy
They make money off sponsors. If they get over a million views there getting paid fairly well for this free video.

If I wait longer then maybe my conditions change and it's no longer possible to leave everything behind for a year. Hope I can also make a good story like yours. Have a good day and a good life!
@@pb9405 best of luck to you and safe travels. You are correct go while you can and life is one big crazy ride where it stops nobody knows. Enjoy yourself out there.
@@noblepotatopb969 Dude, you don't need to justify your life to a stranger on YT. Just keep doing your thing, especially if your thing is helping someone at risk. Respect. Seeing the world is wonderful, but not everyone is in a position to do so. Hopefully all your good deeds will come back to you and you'll get a chance to travel some day.
I have been watching yes theory for a long time but i never expected that they will come to Nepal and make such a great documentary.
lots of love and respect for yes theory form whole nepal and all nepalese.
You have watched yes theory from a long time
But you didn't do any comment,
Here you did now
I may not be nepalese but I spent a lot of my childhood growing up in Nepal and this made me feel so connected to Nepal once again after a long time and now I cant wait to visit in the future.
I don’t wanna hear anyone refer to themselves as a “badass” ever again. Start at 34:00 and you’ll find THE BA! Hands down the most savage TH-cam video ever. And here we are worried about our phones is at 10% and falling. 🐝 ❤
Absolutely stunning documentary guys, what an eye opener on how other humans are actually still living! Remarkable! Hats off to you guys for just getting there! 👏 love from the uk, 🇬🇧
come nepal 🇳🇵❤️🙏🏻
Finalllyyy you guys went to Nepal!!! I grew up there it is such a special place with I think some of the kindest most humble people, hope you felt the same! These guys are such troopers and really shows you that our own inhibitions are what stop us from doing all the crazy things we know we can! Thanks for sharing and hope to see some of you at our Yes Fam Meetup in Toronto July 23rd, the biggest in North America (maybe ever?)!!! Cheers
thank u 🙏🏻💕❤️
nepal 🇳🇵
welcome 🤗 you
If you haven't seen these parts of the world, you can't imagine the scale of things. The mountains are enormous.
Check out the largest cave in the world.
The whole thing of your video is amazing!! Except one of your friends he is whining and complaining the whole trip. He didn’t realize how rare and amazing he get to seen things like these. I enjoyed the whole video even just seeing the views. It’s a breath taking!!
Hope he realizes that the whole trip he just had a bad attitude!
Overall l thank you for all your hard work to bring this to us! It inspired me to put this country in my bucket lists!!
Really love what you guys are doing

As a Nepalese, I wanna say thank you for showing our diverse culture ,tradition and even our beautiful landscapes, I'm really grateful to you guys
I am really happy and proud to see my motherland featured in your content, to be honest. If your video would be more longer like 1 hour or 1hour 30 minutes than it would be movie. Quality and visual was so real.. once again thank you for sharing our culture and our country’s beauty to the world.. lots of love and respect from Nepal 🇳🇵 and all Nepalese people to you guys.
This was one of the best videos yet thanks for going back tp the old platform of making videos they are the best
Drones really did change the game for indie content producers. Amazing content!
Indie cinematography are always better ♥
My favourite of all time is Rolf Nylinder. He makes fly fishing indie productions but I can recommend him even if you don't like fishing because the story telling is fantastic.
Somebody needs to buy those Nepal bee guys a few drones with cutters on em. Just fly it up there and get the honey.
@@KB-ke3fi it fucking expensive ass hell and useless...the propeller gonna wreck in a sec after the bees attacking....
@@imraduin I'm about to get into fly fishing - will be all over this! 🙏

This was truly incredible to see considering about a year ago I spent a year and a half of my life living with my family in Kathmandu, Nepal! One of my best friends is still living there! This video was so amazing at bringing attention to such a beautiful country and people!
It made me miss Nepal seeing y’all drive down the roads that I biked down everyday! Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with the world
The fact they risk their lives for hallucinogenics deeply resonates with me

Nepal and the people living in nepal are very welcoming...nepal is such a wonderful place , Nepals wonderful nature certainly needs more recognition as it has so much more beauty yet to be seen by so many people..
Lads , youll not regret going to this beautiful country...this is one of the best tourist destinations..❤

I don't believe when you say wonderful nature, because it's always earthquakes in Nepal
@@augment22 bro, where are you from? It's been 7 years since Gorkha earthquake of 7.8 magnitude there are no earthquake causing visible damage.
First disastrous earthquake recorded in Nepal was in 1934.
Facts 🇲🇻
This is more than entertaiment, but very educative. Thanks to you guys for bringing this to the world. I hope one day I would visit Nepal.
The amount of anxiety I have experienced just watching this is incredible. Everyone that went on that trip is truly amazing and the amount of energy and time put in is astronomical. Truly something special came from watching that episode and now around the world we all now get to experience it. Thank you Yes Theory for your endless effort, strength, and hope that was put into this video - well done!
Even being a Nepali.. Every moment is goosebumps moments.. Thank you for the awesome cover guys. Love you all.
Holy CRAP! What a frigging adventure. I was imagining the anxiety you guys must have been feeling at the cliffs and I actually started to feel it myself! WOW!
