Very touchy & enjoyable to see the wise people who enjoyed life. I learned a lot from each of them & noticed that our new world is the opposite of everything they have done. They all have similar routine. Eat less & eat well, love and help your neighbors, keep moving physically and mentally, continue socialising,, don't give room to worrisome, stay happy regardless.
1 Doing what you are good at keeps you happy and that happiness keeps you alive for long. 2 Your daily undisturbed routine, helps you to seamlessly blend with the time that also helps adding few more years. 3 Eating and drinking in moderation. 4 Train your brain to learn new things, skills, art or anything that interest your brain. 5 Moderate exercise.6 Mathematics, Science, and memory games are excellent tools to keep your brain active. 7 A good nap and sleep. Thanks for these wonderful documentaries :)

One of the most important factors of longevity is the sense of being needed. Not only "I have forgotten to die" but also "I don't have time to die". So, people who stay with their families, help and actively participate in everyday life, feel fulfilled and are more likely to live longer.

Living a stress free life, Mediterranean diet, not trying to keep up with the Joneses, keeping a light and free from hate heart. These I think are some of the ingredients needed to a long life! In today's world all of the above unfortunately are almost impossible, too much competitiveness, lack of communication, and compassion. Too much stress to keep things running 24/7. So what it we aren't able to shop on a Sunday or around the clock everyday of the week....would it be the end of the world? I lived in times when all of this didn't exist and people were happier for it! Some money making people have lead us down the wrong path! He who can live without all the meterial things in life is for sure a happier person who will live better and longer!
Agree with what you say Virginia, particularly the idea that we should be able to shop 7 days a week - just nonsense and so stressful for the shop owners.

@@afamwithmanobopinay321my greek grandfather passed away a couple of years ago, he had heart problems but he would still get up at 5 and go to work his farm, just like he had done everyday for 80+ years, we would go to the farm to find him and bring him back home and make him take his heart medications 😂, rip pappouli
When everything is good life is beautiful .Loved the quote the main ingredient is contentment of the soul and mind that keeps the centenarians alive .May they live more in happiness 💐
I visited the Island and found the people amazing. Stayed on a small farm in the mountains . We picked grapes, olives, herbs and weeds,
sang and danced with our hosts, their spirit is their best asset, seeing this video makes me want to go back for a visit.
Did you go?

My thoughts and prayers to your grandmother.

so what is ur problem anyway
She is AIbanian.
Very enjoyable. Grandpappy lived to 100 years and 11 months after 48 years as coal miner in Pennsylvania. Never owned a car, walked to work, wet clothing freezing on the way home in winters. Something about walking up and down mountains in fresh air and home grown vegetables eked out with raising chicken, fishing and hunting.
Long live Greece
I am from Himalayan country Nepal.I am very pleased by this video.thankyou
My Greek 🇬🇷 Grandma lived to be 104. May God Rest her soul 💙
Their secret, happy with their life and helping others whose in need, Healthy food and good heart.
My grandma died 99 1/2 years old with no illness just aging. She always exercise and walk walk every morning, eat healthy food, beer once in a while and pray. She never use eyeglasses and stick to walk.
Island life, mountain life, ocean life, forest life always beats city life!
Oh yeah? tell Tom Hanks that.
One of the most important factors of longevity is the sense of being needed. Not only "I have forgotten to die" but also "I don't have time to die". So, people who stay with their families, help and actively participate in everyday life, feel fulfilled and are more likely to live longer.
I agree absolutely about the sense of being needed, of having something useful and satisfying to do!
They live in such a beautiful place . Looks like paradise to me
Greece is awesome!
Watching this makes me feel like I will live to 100 years and I feel happy now
After my travel to Greece, Crete Island for 25 years ago so I have began to love Food from Meditarania - and began to use olive oil that I have never done before cause I was born in Bangkok - Thailand. Asian people does not use this oil for cooking, Only for pack in hair and for care of skin, really. I love olive oil. And like countires in South Europe like Italy, Spain. Maybe after reirement so I will stay longer time... My dream and planing for future but if COVID -19 time is over :-) Best wishes Oranuch from Stockholm - Sweden
Pretty much genetics. Clean living. In the village that my family is from, senior citizen status happens after 80. Its not uncommon to refer to a 50 year old as a "kid". My mom is 90. Doesnt need a walker...
That's fantastic. 😊
God bless her🙏
@@GypsyGirl317 thank you so much. My mother is very important to me.

Great and wonderful to get old for 100 years old. They live in NO STRESS surrounding environtment therefor - living with nature, have motion every day, and laugh every hour so it will be good in order to get old like him. We are slavic, and my grandfather is 96 years Old, soon 97. He has his own teeth, he has no diseases, only neck problem from car accident. He has still curly hair. Good mental and physical health. And he told me his secret is to have the same schedulle every day. Even schedulle of eating. He eats at the same hours everyday and take nap at the same hour everyday. The clocks in his body is the same many decades. Even when he was working, he had the same clocks. But of course, genes are a big part.
Also no diabetese and he was hardly ever sick.

It's beautiful there they're home is surrounded by Beautiful plants & Flowers. I believe their reward for longevity is having the Fear of GOD and living Holy Godly lives.
Also there many Centurions In Africa, are living presently between one hundred fourteen to One hundred and twenty years old.
Fear of God gives you stress too. So, i think they just are not fearing God!

To summaries:
-Live in a place you love to see every day. (feeling good - positivity)
-Eat more green cellulose/filler food (for gut and fullness feeling)
-Eat less and more often, feeling just a little bit hungry (good for autophagy/cancer avoidance)
-Train your mind with calculations and reading and remembering new things (good for brain maintance)
-Socialize and interact with people on a daily basis (feeling good - positive mindset)
-Do not worry or stress, avoid it. (lowers stresshormones and maintains a good heart)
-Have fun sometimes (renews wonder and life perspective)
Eating simple (no additives, vegetable oils (they are dangerous and very processed today) avoiding too much sugar(no added sugar in things) surely prolongs and gives a much healthier life.

In greece we have stress, we have problems, we have our strong opinions, but, in the end we have the quote that its over all in the end " we live just once".... You can translate it as you wish.

My grandmother died 94 at her home in Barcelona, independent and eating meat everyday (pig trotters, blood saussages, ...) with lots of veggies drenched in local olive oil. She drank only local red wine, no water. Don't believe vegetarians, meat isn't the enemy. But lack of greens is.
@Artoria Pendragonright. But she ate veggies as a first course all of her life. Lots of them.
Very interesting. If I need a liver, a long one, I'll come to Ikaria.
Living a stress free life,
Mediterranean diet, not trying to keep up with the Joneses, keeping a light and free from hate heart.
These I think are some of the ingredients needed to a long life!
In today's world all of the above unfortunately are almost impossible, too much competitiveness,
lack of communication,
and compassion.
They eat seafood and lamb they walk everywhere .z they are tidy and clean a lot. They take care of their animals well. They talk to each other in the cafe . They wear the same clothes. Simple . I loved visiting Greece. Even though I was a volunteer worker
Watsonville California. The ocean sea air covers the land and that is where many veggies and fruits come from. Unfortunately, with the advent of fastfood the kids will not eat farm to table and absorb those nutrients. That is my thought.
