    It's great to see that she is thriving and appreciative of the differences in her situations past and present. I enjoyed listening to her story.

    8:40 the fine sand was also used as one of the many "security" lines of the berlin wall. So it makes sense they would use it

    • @CottidaeSEA
      @CottidaeSEA 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      It's also harder to run in sand, making the escape slower and more strenuous. That way the guards have more time to react, besides just having an easier time tracking the escapees.

    @giggle please leave 5 seconds of extra space at the end of the video to make space for the recommended videos that pop up during that time. They cover up the subtitles, so we dont know what she says at the end. Please fix, and thanks for sharing her story.

I've been fortunate to have lived in the US my entire life and I'm pleased that you are now experiencing the freedom that every human deserves. I hope you make it to the US some day to see what a wonderful country it is. In Mandarin, it is called Meiguo, which translates to beautiful country.

      There's a ton of North Korean defectors all around the world. They can't go after every last one of them. And they most likely wouldn't k-word them but bring them back to NK like they did with that one defector a few years back. All defectors know the risks of going public, I'm sure the South Korean intelligence drilled that into them. And sometimes the risks are worth it if you want to tell your story
