    I’ve done my fair share of similar work on project cars, I’ve had really good luck with Klean Strip Concrete and Metal prep. It Is a phosphoric acid solution, which is the same type of acid the POR15 prep is.
    Else if you’re happy with vinegar I’ve had good luck with “cleaning vinegar” from Menards. I’m not sure what the actual concentration is, but it is certainly stronger than regular vinegar. Downside is they come in small jugs.

      Never thought to use the phosphoric acid, figured it might be a little too aggressive. I may just have to give that a try on the next one.
