    What’s a good source for the blower motor replacement unit for a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek?
    Just saw you have it listed in the description.

    Kind of funny to me how similar they look to blower motors from even an early 90s Subaru. Slightly higher blade count, slightly thinner blades, not much else different. Also very surprising yours was failing considering I have numerous 20-30 year old blower motors that are fine. Either way, sweet that it's even a small upgrade! I'd probably replace the Torx with old JIS head Phillips screws. :P

      After filming, while I was researching what search competition this video was going to have, I noticed a few people had a blower squeak from day one. I'm wondering if something about this current run of motors is defective right out of the factory, especially since the top speed felt weak on day one. Definitely a lot of stuff not quite right and it wasn't just mine.
      Over 60K miles on it with a lot of long road trips up and down the east coast.

      @@CarsSimplified Very strange! Suppliers can definitely mess things up. Everyone should report it to Subaru just in case they'll do a service bulletin haha.

      @@CarsSimplified Oh, and does the Continental one seem to work better other than not squeaking?

    • @CarsSimplified
      @CarsSimplified  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, it's quiet and seems to blow harder at full speed.

      @@CarsSimplified I got my 18 Crosstrek with 17k miles and immediately noticed a blower squeak. Especially at lower fan speeds. This video was perfect for the replacement of the motor and restored my sanity! Thanks for the detailed instructions!

    Thank you so much for this video! Quick question, in your video I noticed that it looked like the motor spun counterclockwise, with the arrow pointing to the right. The one that is linked in the bio spins clockwise. With that I found another one on the internet that says it is a match but it spins counterclockwise. Do you know which way it spins on the 2018 crosstrek? Thank you :)

    Nice video! Thanks for sharing! I have a 2017 Impreza 5dr premium. There's some continuous high-pitch noise (like a whistle) when the air conditioning is on. What do you think could be causing it? Should I check the blower motor? Thanks!

    • @CarsSimplified
      @CarsSimplified  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! My blower motor was making a high pitched noise as well (and it changed pitch with fan speed, most audible in the middle speeds). I would for sure check the blower motor for that.

    I'm confused. How did you come across that it was an upgrade to begin with?

    • @CarsSimplified
      @CarsSimplified  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually didn't realize it had a larger motor until it arrived; if I'm remembering correctly, the site I got it from just called it a direct replacement and didn't say anything about the larger motor.

    Mi crossterk del 20 suena como si las paletas rozaran un papel tititi muy bajo
