Something that should be important to remember for making the S3K special stage: There are several different resolutions and aspect ratios, including the absolutely cursed 1366 x 768, which always causes abnormal problems for all kinds of mods. It's even caused some pretty cursed stuff in Ring Racers recordings before being patched.
i remeber seeing someone attempt this on the mb but the S3K special stage looks amazing! and even the big ring looks good, its has like some 32 frame rotation wtf nice!
Exciting stuff! Wonder if the the collectable animals shown off in _Adventure Style_ imply we're gonna get to see something related to the Chao Garden, or if it's just for flavor. Either way, I'm definitely down for whatever's next. Also, wow, that Blue Spheres recreation is _bewildering_ to see (and a little disorienting).
Plan used to be to have full chao garden, but now it is just flavor. I am removing all plans regarding special stages. But I thought the Blue Spheres were neat that I could recover them. - Skydusk

After our research, there is just too much going on in full fledged Chao Garden and SRB2 or our tools do not have everything necessary, needing to build it from ground up. Also, ambitions were bit too much, like for example online functionality able to have your singleplayer Chao in multiplayer. However some progress was made anyway and any Lua developer willing can at least pick up our Chao Garden assets and build sonic advance chao garden. - Skydusk

...I think it would make more sense to have special stages open into NiGHTS mode, but also... I'm curious as to what you can do with the bonus stages in the checkpoints!
so adventure style will have compatibility with e 102 gamma and 3&k style both are still w.i.p so expect it to probably release in between 2024 and 2025 so yeah that's the Comment i guess

So rather than thinking about 2.2.14 being strict release date, more so think of it as hard release condition. While I could do all the work now, I kind of want to wait in case of some function we use doesn't appear in 2.2.14. A lot of people got burned with lua input support iirc - Skydusk
I might have progressed further with small fixes like that than the footage shows, but this is just a recovered special stage I quickly pasted together from the backup I found today as I lost a lot of progress with my HDD crash. Fairly, it does look WIP and doesn't include the majority of systems. - Skydusk

@@Yorigami32X Not much tough, and more so there is just so much nuance to Chao, hidden or obvious. So, it is issue of quantity than difficulty. Most difficult part would be adapting all of it. - Skydusk
SA1 hud was already made by TehRealSal, nobody felt the need to recreate it again. Which by the way, the style is fully compatible with the SA1 hud, it simply switches to SA1 hud depending on load order - Skydusk

it's using papersprites, so it's completely smooth, as if it were a 3d model!
