So last year, I saw this recipe on the web and attempted to create it for my little nieces. I bought the strawberries and assembled all the ingredients. Then I took one 🍓 just for a taste. I ate them all before I baked anything and had to switch to a lemon pound cake 😂

Came out great! I had a hard time smashing the berries for the glaze to I put them in a ziplock back and squished them by hand. Easy breezy 🤌🏻
Was low on strawberries, made it with frozen cherries instead, and it was super well received at a party that night. Really great texture, just sweet enough.
Fresh, local strawberries might have packed a bigger flavour punch, but they're so hard to find at just the right ripeness, and the California ones we get here year round are just nasty.
Incidentally, it was a Xmas in July party, and his Yulelog/Bûche de Noël recipe was also a hit.

The recipe I didn't know I needed in my life 😍 I think sprinkling white chocolate chips on top or doing a cream cheese swirl on top of a cream cheese filling as a middle layer (not too sure how one could adjust baking time if doing this) would take it to next level magical 😉😍😍

O.M.G. I have some frozen strawberries from the garden in the freezer. You didn't use frozen. Would it mess up the recipe if I used thawed frozen strawberries instead of fresh???? My mouth was watering watching this!!!

Tried this recipe in a "twinkie" format filled with a strawberry compote. Delicious! Also tried the pina colada version by swapping pineapple for strawberries and coconut milk for whole milk. Just as good!

Looks really good. How do you think this would work if you use fresh blueberries? Would anything change in the preparation since blueberries would not be as wet as the strawberries?

I’m not meaning to be rude but I can’t believe all the people saying they’ve never heard of strawberry bread! This is one of the first loaf cakes I learned to cook over 50 years ago. We would slice and serve with whipped cream cheese and powdered sugar spread.You all need to make it now and enjoy. Bless you all!
