Hi there…You guys showed up on my feed, so I think would take a look. I’m 21 months from retirement, so I’m always looking for a few good life hacks to make things simple.
My question is this, you mentioned getting your SS in the mail. Wouldn’t you be better off to have it direct deposit into your US Bank or Credit Union?
I guess I have 2 questions…lol
Will you be moving any household goods to the Philippines 🇵🇭 And if so, what services did you use for the large items like beds, dressers, paintings etc? That’s my stumbling block right now. I’ve gotten rid of 75% of my stuff, but I do have some items I’d really rather not part with.

Yes the best way is having your pension sent directly to your US bank. We just mentioned that option in case someone is getting there’s mailed. As for shipping furniture and other items to the Philippines the cost is too expensive. It would include an import tax that would be about the same as its value. Best to just buy the items when you get here.

I'd love to move over there but the heat will be too much for me, here in the northeast of the USA we get maybe 15 hot and miserable days, actually lived in the Caribbean in my 20s and only did 5 yrs down there and was desperate to get back to my State... Good luck over there.
