Thanks guys - really interesting! Btw - here in the UK catcalling and whistling at ladies is considered harassment as well. I think here at least it’s a generational thing - I always thought the same as you Eric - the guy is complimenting the girl - but younger women I work with have said when they’ve experienced it, they found it intimidating. If you are a foreigner, do not be in the middle of politics there of any sort. They take that to heart and easily offended. The mano-po is only for some families and not all. WE hug and kiss in mine - Always respect elders no matter where you are is the expectation. Employment is easy -just make your own.
