  • What's in your busy bag? This episode talks about the two different kinds of busy bags I travel with - one for hotel sewing, complete with kitted up project, and the second - my handwork bag for airports, planes, hotels, waiting rooms and more!

Hey, Bonnie! So happy I caught live chat, but unfortunately meds from oral surgery rocked me to sleep. But thanks to You Tube for the video. I loved the info on kitting! Scrapping has not proven to be my friend. I have an OCS part of me that is not random.....BUT yet I conti ue to organize scraps! Lol. I do carry along embroidery and small binding projects Have tried hexies before, so may be trying that again. Congrats on your new venture.

Is it strange that I am more excited that you closed escrow for your Quiltville Inn than I was 20 years ago on my own condo. lol Congratulations Bonnie.

Good Luck with Quiltville Inn can't wait to go. I saw James Taylor last summer in Chicago at Wrigley field. It was a great evening.

Good morning Bonnie how are you? Yes you’re excited about your new move into Quiltville-Inn, and I ‘m too and for you to. You deserve every stitch of it. You’re designing so beautiful and I’m so very happy for you. I love you with all your teaching in sewing and quilting. I have been watching you on TH-cam for about five years now and just love it, and have learned so much. I also have eye trouble too and been through a lot with eye surgeries. But I look at you and keep on going with my sewing and learning to quilt. Thanks Bonnie for all you do for us all. Happy sewing and quilting.😍

This isn't an answer to your question about traveling, but I want to tell you what I'm doing and I'm so pleased with myself. I've started piecing quilt blocks, and this is what I'm doing: I watch TH-cam till I find a block that I like, and something I want to try. Then I dig around through my house till I find a few pieces of fabric (and I'm gradually collecting my quilt piecing fabrics in one place). I piece one block, and then I do that same block again. Then I do three more, assembly line style, so that I know I can do it very well. Then I go back to youtube and find another one to try. AND just to challenge myself and make it more fun, I'm doing it with 1.5 inches as kind of a standard measurement, where the TH-cams I'm watching would use 2.5 inches (probably jelly rolls). The one I'm working on now, the person had changed the pattern to remove any need for Y seams, but I've decided to learn to do it the harder way, putting the Y seams back in. The block I'm practicing on now is only 6 inches square when finished and contains 21 pieces. AND to top it off, I have essential tremor, which means all of this is a bit more challenging for me! And that's part of the reason it's all that much more rewarding for me to do! Perhaps someone else will be challenged after reading this.

Hi I’m Lori and I graduated from Ledford, lived in Wallburg in Cherokee Valley and live in High Point now. I know you don’t have time, but I would love to have a sewing get together to talk about all the quilty things! Someone famous near me. Who knew!

Forgive me if you actually answered this in the video, but I am on my way out of town and don't have time to finish this now. I need to ask: what sewing items can get through TSA? I have always wanted to take my sewing along on lengthy flights but wondered whether needles and scissors can get through security inspection. I will definitely finish your video when we arrive at our destination. No need for a separate reply if you do cover it in the video. Thank you!
