In reverse, Bubble said “ I can’t wait for all the children in the audience to get nightmares from a monster” That represents Goose herself saying how creepy this episode will be
The fact that Kinger gets memories of the last moments of his wife when in darkness really is so sweet and sad....No wonder why he loves his pillow fortress--- It's super dark in there. Kinger was a fatherly mentor to Ragatha in episode 2 (because he had a bucket over his head, and therefore saw darkness), and was a fatherly mentor to Pomni in episode 3. It was too wholesome man. Episode 3 is definitely the best episode of TADC so far.
16:38 - 17:25 If Caine was to fully break from his own self delusion about the Circus and his adventures I wonder if it would cause the game to shutdown and restart with the character’s being able to get their exit out to their own realities or when the game resets they and all the abstracted NPCs reset with the game keeping them forever trapped.
I'm thinking this situation is more of an "outside forces" thing. Kinger remembers his computer science degree, hated bugs, and was allegedly here the longest. So, some people were making a game that literally isekais you, thought they had a decent version, and sent people like Kinger to do some final playtesting. But turns out the game was buggier than expected and they got trapped. Couldn't find a way to get them out and they feared/knew that a reset would erase the people inside. So they instead coded a way to put the bugs (abstracted) in a safe place where they couldn't break the game and kill everyone. Then since you can't destroy the game without killing people, they tried to hide it away.
There are plenty of shows that do that. A few cartoons from my childhood excelled at it, actually. Transformers: Prime, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and The Batman come to mind.
Personally I would say about Caine isn't because he thinks his task is pointless his problem is he is an AI designed to make children's games. No swearing, he is very goofy and his adventures were very silly before this one and even this one it's relatively tame. Caine is very likely working with a dataset to entertain children not take care of traumatized adults.
6:08 Rules as written, most undead are damageable by Necrotic damage. It's basically just faster decomposition really. But it's fun to mess with the rules as a DM, change things around etc etc ♥
I'm gonna take a completely wild random guess, I think Jax starts shrinking when he holds his breath. He doesn't want the others to know, because he'd be more vulnerable the smaller he gets.
He also doesn't seem to like being the butt of the joke in general. I'm guessing his head/body inflates. Something about that design just says he'd inflate.
And now we have a VERY good explanation why Kinger likes his fort so much. The darkness helps keep his thoughts in order. And we have it confirmed he knows computer stuff.
You know, speaking of Spooky Month, have you ever heard of the indie web series called "Spooky Month" from SrPelo? They're quite good! It starts out as random nonsense, but gradually becomes more in-depth and grounded as it goes on. It's a fascinating watch. Also, just want to say, I love the "I'm starting to think" bit from Kinger; not only is it really funny, it also lightly foreshadows how he's able to concentrate more and more the darker and darker his surroundings get.
So there I was sitting outside work early after dropping the kids off and decided to watch the episode while I waited. Now Im crying a storm, and it's time to clock in. Thanks, Glitch. 😂
being late to reacting to it is a positive, i watch multiple reaction channels and you guys avoided the floodwave that always happens when it first comes out
You make D&D sound really fun. I wish I had the patience to learn to play it. 37:39 Never mind, this is the best part. It's even funnier when you remember that he's voiced by Gooseworx. XD
@@pundertalefan4391 the basics aren't too complicated -each of your 6 stats has a modifier, which is (x / 2) - 5 and rounding down (a 10 or 11 in Charisma is a modifier of +0, but a 12 means +1) -most rolls (stat/skill checks) use a 20-sided die (a d20) and a modifier, which is compared to a Difficulty Check value to see if you succeed (your Dungeon Master will tell you) -proficiencies mean you can add your Proficiency modifier (determined by your level, starting at +2) to any rolls that are relevant, or in the case of armor that you don't have penalties -advantage and disadvantage mean you roll an extra die, and keep the higher (advantage) or lower (disadvantage) value out of the results an example: Grug the orc barbarian wants to convince the city guard that it wasn't him who broke the wall since he's not lying, the DM tells Grug's player to roll a Persuasion (Charisma) check Grug doesn't have proficiency in Persuasion, but he's somewhat charming in his dumbness (how the player explains it), so he has a Charisma score of 13 (+1 mod) so the player rolls *1d20+1* and hopes the roll is high enough -if the guard were extra racist, or if the guard had seen Grug smashing other things before, the DM could impose disadvantage on the roll -if another player character said "Yeah, he didn't do it." as part of a "Help" Action, the roll can have advantage

It feels like Zoobles and Canes Conversation could be an Alegory for Society not getting Body Dismorphia.... Cane taking it lightly, saying that there is an easy solution, when it is'nt as easy as that. Feeling Good is Not that easy?
Kinger doesn't actually seem crazy or insane... he's actually one of the most level headed and sane member of the group, at least when he's in darkness... which is why he always goes to the darkness of his pillow fort... because that's when he's able to actually think clearly... Honestly, in knowing this, I'd like to see Pomni trying to spend more time with Kinger in between adventures hanging out inside his fort. Just talking to him...
Funny thing is, Zooble keeps telling Kaine to forget it, so HE DOES

I appreciate the help. I had to look it up. A TH-cam by the name A Person on TH-cam showed it really well.
I loved the "OK, I won't." gag in this episode.
“Okay, I won’t” - dead body 2024
Not gonna lie, the corpse saying "Okay, I won't" reminded me of the humor in Grim Fandango for some reason.
i can bet you goose has definitely found inspiration from it
*Salvador's skull:* "Hola, Manuel."
Reminded me of Chowder's "Oh, they'll notice".
That'd be dope if inspiration was taken from Grim
That and Kinger questioning how Baron Mildenhall could record the tape if he was in Hell were both great

Now it makes sense in the last episode when kinger had the bucket on his head and was aware and had rational thinking

I suspect it's a situation where everyone is just a copy of the people putting on the headset.
This shows that you can have a formulaic show, and still have character development with it.

Definitely the best episode so far. The horror house looks amazing. Loving the growth and more deeper parts of characters.
