    The 09-14 F-150 is absolutely my favorite generation of the model. I always wanted one since they were new. That 2009-2014 year range of fords was my favorite era of ford

      2009 or under only, please.

      the problem is that these also happen to be some of the worst years for quality control, the 11th and 12th gen of F150 was plagued with issues from bad motors (5.4 thankfully was replaced with the 5.0 later down the line.) to horrible body rot issues, a design flaw in the cab caused water to settle in the bottom interior of the rear corners, rotting them from the inside out.
      Rarely do these trucks work and run as good as this one, good reason why these things are valued so low compared to their RAM or Silverado counterparts of the same Era.

    Just so you know in 2012 they had the lariat and platinum as well. They also had the ecoboost back then as well. You can also get the 5.0 in today's f150.

    My favorite gen until the new 2022 came out. I have a 2013 FX4. For that generation FX4 and FX2 were actual trims, not just an added option. They have an appearance package and luxury package. Mine is basically a lariat without the rear heated seats. It has sunroof, leather seats, sync with nav, Sony sound system, heated/cooled seats, power folding mirrors. If I did it over, I’d go STX, give me a column shifter and bench seat. I tend to keep my vehicles, 190K on this one. The more add ons, the more to that tends to break.

    Just ordered a 2023 F-150 XL with the FX4 package and a V8. Got the V8 for its simplicity and long-term reliability, but can't avoid unnecessarily complicated elements such as: cylinder deactivation, 10-speed automatic (would prefer a manual, but get bent with that these days, or a 6-speed auto, but also no dice), and automatic engine Start/Stop. Can't even delete that last one when ordering, but at least you can still disable it, albeit you have to do so every time you start the truck. Technology is great, but sometimes simpler is better, and I think that applies to all of those complaints. (Still, can't wait for my Atlas Blue bad boy to arrive 😁)

    And as far as the look of this truck it has the longest lasting looks there is out there they actually have a brand new truck that’s almost designed exactly like this one as far as looks which tells you how good the design was.. The looks of this truck is going to last much longer compared to the older Ford trucks and Chevys it’s going to be a popular one that’s for sure

    Looks like a pavement princess with fancy wheels...if its a FX4 4WD Styleside Supercab from 2012, its MSRP would have been $37,755, which would be $48,807.83 in 2022 money. Hopefully the new owner will get a good deal on the price and use it as a true work truck.

    I love the F-150, except I want the 09 because Ford left the key-chime alone unlike what they did to the piece of crap 2010 and don't even get me started on the 2011 and later models. (I hope everyone follows this rule too). The 09 is a required model year for everyone and is the maximum model year limit for the F-150. (Get an F-250 or F-350 if you want a 2010 and go backwards from that model year like the F-150). Also, congratulations for passing the BFB test at 6:50 once again on the F-150, Zack!

    just cuz your knees can touch the back of the front seat doesn't mean that the back seat is too small. I really don't know why people think they need to be able to put their legs out as far as they can go to qualify as a "big enough" back seat. plus like doug demuro he's 6'4 for god sakes (less than 2% of the population is that tall) thinks that all back seats have to allow him to stretch out like a recliner to qualify as a big back seat like hes gonna sit in the back seat ever!

    • @bldontmatter5319

      I know right? I need that $7500 Govt Tax Credit when I buy the F-150 Lightning. (Japanese EVs and European EVs don't get the Tax Credit) Hyundai, Kia and Genesis are still doing Tax Credits on their EVs.

    • @Bonanzaking
      @Bonanzaking 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’ll be fine.
      A lot of the complaints I’ve heard about EV range from the same old complaining my father has heard over 5 decades of working on cars since they came out with fuel injection. There will obviously be a teething period and well just like how the smartphone went over the last decade it’s most expensive for early adopters. Its best to just wait out a decade and let the implulsive early adopters pay the upkeep for the infrastructure rollout. Those of us with older gas cars and trucks we love are probably good for at least a decade to get better bang per buck.

    • @Bonanzaking
      @Bonanzaking 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MikkelRS a century ago similar arguments were made about the car. Gas station didn’t pop up overnight and fuel efficiency was not really a thing. They also started out as a rich mans thing kinda like EV’s now.
      The argument you made about moving with your truck I’d bet a whole bitcoin at some point someone said the same thing just replace your gas powered f150 with a horse. History really does tend to repeat.

    • @Bonanzaking
      @Bonanzaking 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MikkelRS have you driven a model t? I have. That thing is not fast, a buggy wouldve been comparable if not better if going uphill. It clearly took time to go from model t to the quicker and more dependable modern vehicles we know today.
      Same process will end up panning out with EV’s.
