I don't think engine size was all he was going for here. I think he wanted to show a huge degree of difficulty. That his incredible creativity is matched by his equally incredible skill as a fabricator and technician. This is something people joke about doing in an drunken conversation, knowing all too well that we don't have the facets nor the discipline, to even come close to anything like this. But this guy actually did it, and made it look (and perform) absolutely astonishingly. The word -Genius- is thrown around all too often these days :D but I think this is an outstanding exception. Pure Genius!

@Orlando Grayson thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
That V8 was...orgasmic! Sounded more like a GM small block than the usual orchestral Ferrari sound. Glorious! When will Ferrari ever make an awesome noise that?!
It´s not a Porsche V6 but a flat 6 and imho the best solution of all the 3 cause it´s much lighter and that weight is so much closer to the ground to begin with. Smack on a turbo for each cylinder bank and can easily reach the same power as the Murcielago, also if you have massive collapse of the gearbox when driving you won´t die like in the Lambo version. Do not like to sit next to that gearbox with only thin cheat metal between me and the gearbox but that´s just me.. Either way some cool builds for sure
Truly incredible fabrication skills, and the level of finish is outstanding. Quite a lot of steel used though, it would be interesting to know what kind of weight the finished car ended up.
West Senkovec Well a lambo is heavier. But lots of the weight comes from the V12 engine. If you replaced that with a fiat 500 85bhp engine the car would becme much much lighter. But yeah I might actually be wrong. But still how much would the lambo transmission etc affect?
My dad lived in Rome in the late 1950's, he told me that a rich guy down the street use to have a Ferrari mid mounted engine in a fiat 500(1958-59) way back then, no back seat! He was about 20 yrs old and use to go drooling over it, when the guy started it people would come out to see.
This car is for a person with suicidal tendencies. But what a nice way to leave this earthly life. With a frontal collision the driver would be pressed against the beautiful Lamborghini engine and the last sound he hears is the wonderfull roaring of V12.
Are these iterations of the exact same car with different engines (as in it started out as a 6, then the 8, and then after massive fabrication the 12) or are these three separate project cars in one video? It must be very difficult to drive any of these with so much power and such a short wheelbase.
This thing would be an absolute lunatic on the road, even with those wide tires. Weighing in at the low end of 2,000 pounds plus 580 horsepower means an astounding power-to-weight ratio. I've seen the old Fiat 500 have a street bike engine in it before, and it could do donuts all day. Can't imagine what this is like.
How can you have such an awesome skill at making a car like that and not have the sense to GET A PROPER CAMERA! What was this filmed with ... a Nokia 3210? :)
After watching a 10 minute video full of still-frames of several different cars i'm very confused. do you have a vid of the v12 making a run, or at least moving under it's own power ?
Holy shit, coming from a mechanic that has built so pretty powerful aftermarket shit, that was some pretty fucking impressive stuff... Mind blow, well done to the people that put that logistical nightmare together then came out with that!
It's not a track car, it's meant to be purely a drag racing car. In which case, the Fiat 500 is incredibly light. When coupled with a high powered engine placed strategically at the rear of the wheelbase for a great launch, the result is an amazing car in straight line races.
OEMMEDI Meccanica aprite una casa automobilistica e vendete queste opere d'arte. Ferrari cominciò così, chissà che un giorno ci sarà qualche vostro modello su strada. ;)
Good luck turning any corner without spinning out. Still a cool build and i'd love to take it for a spin or just a slow creep to get all the looks. Def a head turner.
A flat engine as in a Porsche or Ferrari is basically a 180* "V" engine. The opposing pistons share a common crank pin, so that when one is up (compression or exhaust), the other piston is "down" (intake or ignition). A boxer technically is a flat engien, I suppose, but in a boxer configuration, the opposing pistons have separate crank pins, so they are either both "up" (compression or exhaust stroke) or "down" (intake or ignition stroke).
Stupenda, fantastica, ottimo lavoro!!

Yeah you just cant transfer a lambo engine to a fiat 500... Requires a lot more than one would think. First of all... It just doesnt fit as it is.
finally someone who understands cars isn't just about speed
Correct... Typing without activation of brain is a common performance on every social network.
I have nothing but admiration from dudes that take two items that were never meant to share the same space & turn them into fast & loud rolling art.....nuff said methinks.
The work done on this is incredible. Great job guys!

"Oh, no, I assure you it has a stock engine. A STOCK MURCIELAGO ENGINE!"
Lol 😂

That v12 Fiat is quite possibly the coolest car I have ever seen. Major props!
This video needs more video! Some seriously cool cars here though, would love to see more of them!
somewhere,.. there is a lamborghini with a fiat 500 engine,...
Sir you made my day
Great Cornholio think maybe this guy was the one who built that car too?
So much win.. great Fab work man. You got vids of the lambo one running?
Fantastico lavoro di studio e ingegneria.
i miei piu' vivi complimenti, siete i migliori, grandiosi
That car is pure art. The fabrication and thought that went into this car is unreal. Super great job for your Steriod Fiat
what a great piece of craftmanship !
takes allot of skill and labor to build what you guy`s build
I just saw a video with some serious suspension engineering . really nice job done on these cars
this is a crazy built.. props! some find it useless but this is an art of its own.
respect brother.......a hell of a lot of focus and hard work gone into this

Exactly. First two, too much weight & torquing for suspension / wheelbase. I think the handling would suck.
Bellissimo video e complimenti gianfra conoscendoti meriti molti complimenti...bravissimo a presto
Truly incredible fabrication skills, and the level of finish is outstanding. Quite a lot of steel used though, it would be interesting to know what kind of weight the finished car ended up.
So if this is an engine swap with a Lamborghini, where is the Lambo with a Fiat 500 engine in it?
Actually a lambo with a fiat 500 engine would go faster than a fiat 500 with its own engine. Better aerodynamics and probably lighter as well.
+Ex0rz lol, no
West Senkovec Well a lambo is heavier. But lots of the weight comes from the V12 engine. If you replaced that with a fiat 500 85bhp engine the car would becme much much lighter. But yeah I might actually be wrong. But still how much would the lambo transmission etc affect?
West Senkovec Lambos are actually heavier than i thought :p
Being bullied by Ferraris and having its gas money stolen.
Wow! My respect to its builder and designer! That took a good deal of engineering and hard work to have accomplished!

Yes os that i think
Hell yeahhh!!! That's the law!
George Glytsos Thats the best one yet, but man the skill and dedication to put these little monsters together!
Quel travail absolument magnifique !!

This is the dumbest thing I have seen all week and I LOVE it.
Great work you damned madman.
that's not a car, that's an engine with wheels!! Brilliant!!!
his hands are really nice and unorthodox great craftsmanship and precise to the core nice work
That custom gate on the shifter is so simple, yet pure art. I love gated shifters. They should be mandatory on all cars with a stick.

I salute the mad genius behind this project ❤
How can you have such an awesome skill at making a car like that and not have the sense to GET A PROPER CAMERA!
What was this filmed with ... a Nokia 3210?
:)
No, it was filmed with a potato. :)
Makes it unwatchable.
It sounds an awful lot like a v-8 and at 5:47 it only has 4 exhaust tubes on the side that is visible. Did the engine change along the way?
okay.... so it starts off with the massive 12cyl engine at the beginning but where did it go?? there is a v8 in the car at the end???
After watching a 10 minute video full of still-frames of several different cars i'm very confused. do you have a vid of the v12 making a run, or at least moving under it's own power ?
In my opinion that one with Porsche Engine Was the best of this three 500's. Classic car with powerful engine!
cavolo un telaio costruito apposta bravi bravi davvero
there's three cars in the video, the first with the v12,the second with a v8 e the third with a boxter 6 cilinder,I don't know how you got confuse.
Impresionante laburo, 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍
lavoro impeccabile.. fantastici

amazing work, thank you so much for allowing us to come into your world
A creative engineering masterpiece!!!
Just out of sheer curiosity.. how far can you go on a tank of gas? actually how big is the gas tank you have in there?
It's not a track car, it's meant to be purely a drag racing car. In which case, the Fiat 500 is incredibly light. When coupled with a high powered engine placed strategically at the rear of the wheelbase for a great launch, the result is an amazing car in straight line races.
This is art.. Not just anybody can build this. Not just anybody should drive this...
\
Does this contraption actually move? I've seen a couple of videos of it and neither show any wheels turning.
it is 2 different fiats, if you watch the video it said fiat v12 at the beginning then at 4:08 it says fiat 500 Ferrari v8
Just to begin to make that work was an amazing feat of engineering ! I hope its as much fun to drive as it looks like!

genio e maestria italiana!
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE NAME OF THE FIRST MUSIC AND SINGING ABOUT! AM FROM BRAZIL AND NOT KNOW
That's some amazing work!
Ciao!
! :) !
amazing, please please please make more videos of these cars
Quanta passione.....complimenti
is that a tv on the back side???
why can't you appreciate the slideshow which highlights the amount of work involved?
Are these types of vehicles available to buy ? What would be the Price ?? Thanks.
avete costruito dei mostri adesso cosa ne fate?
I like the song, who sings it?
in love with the sound
nice workmanship, very skilled
Good luck turning any corner without spinning out. Still a cool build and i'd love to take it for a spin or just a slow creep to get all the looks. Def a head turner.
io l'ho vista,bravissimi,ma dove avete l'officina?
That is utterly mad and surprisingly good looking. Love it!
why do I see only four exhaust pipes, like it's half of V8 engine visible from rear?
Excelente trabalho . Brinquedinho gostoso de pilotar !!!!!!!!!!!
wow what a machine, love to know some statistics...weight? 0-60? Top speed?
magnifica realizzazione
What are the tailights on the second car
i like how you made everything out with SS sheet. very nice man.
Great modifications. Would have loved to see it driving though !!
First song is Sail by Awolnation. Excellent album in my opinion, very original.
5:56 I was waiting for the car to fly into the sky
where u find murcialago motor?
It's the four wheel drive that blows my mind.
That Porsche 6 sounds amazing!!!!
how much it will cost to get one ?
Killer car! What's the name of that song?
A flat engine as in a Porsche or Ferrari is basically a 180* "V" engine. The opposing pistons share a common crank pin, so that when one is up (compression or exhaust), the other piston is "down" (intake or ignition).

This video is such a time capsule of 2012 that it's uncanny
Beautiful craftsmanship!
Im pretty sure this is two different Fiat 500s. the beginning is a V12 Fiat and then later in the movie it shows another one with a V8
