    this was amazing. i suddenly had a lump under my arm. it was sore and I thought I had breast cancer or a cyst. I came upon Heather's site. I did the head and neck drainage as she suggests first. then did the arm and armpit drainage. It's amazing. The pain is gone. The lump has decreased a lot. Heather, I can't thank you enough. I wish I lived near Louisville. I'd give you a big hug right now.

      Ya, I have the same lumps under both arms after I became pregnant- after pregnancy it’s still there; and my doctor said I just need to loose weight... I was only 135 lb than.. even my upper arms are swollen and sometimes tingly and he said it was just because I need to loose weight nothing else :/
      Yes, I stop seeing him from than on.. happy I found this info.. thank u.. let’s see if I can solve this issue I’m having!

      S N It may be the accessory breasts. Normally not a problem but when you are pregnant and breastfeeding they can get swollen like your regular breasts. Just maybe.

    I am a breast cancer survivor and have had no problem with adema for over a year but that has changed recently due to an injury to the arm. The massage is the thing that reduced the swelling in my arm and reduced the pain. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with those of us who need it so much. I went to a professional therapist to reduce the swelling but need to do a constant routine of self massage to keep the arm healthy.

    Thank you, Heather. This is EXTREMELY helpful. It really helps to know where this fluid is supposed to drain to and then to see you demonstrate the movements. I also have anatomy and physiology books in hand, but you do a better job of presenting the big picture.

    The best lymphatic draining massaged videos I’ve seen on TH-cam! I’ve been looking since last year. I keep having my lymph node swelling under my left arm right before my cycle starts. I wear natural deodorant if any! So I’m not sure why this keeps happening.

    Thanks so much for posting these! I can't believe I stumbled on them. I have had lymphedema in my right arm for ten years now. The exercises I was given were soooo long and involved. On top of wrapping and bandaging! This is fairly quick and hits some points I wasn't given. Thanks again!!!!

    @iredaleorama It depends on how many were removed and how the tissue has healed up since then. I would check with your surgeon to make sure it's a good fit, but if she OKs it, this can help with fluid removal from the arm. If you have pitting or hard edema, you should probably see someone who specializes in lymphatic drainage massage so that they can create a specific self-massage routine for you based on your surgery and your treatment plan.

    I recently attended a lymphedema clinic for advice since having mastectomy and axillary node dissection. I was told categorically to avoid the axilla on the affected side, but to clear the lymphatics toward the unaffected axilla. I feel I should point this out as I suspect a large majority of people seeking advice on lymphatic drainage in the arm might be coming with this condition.

    Thank you so much, this is a great video. I had a double mastectomy three years ago and reconstruction. My left implant is encapsulated and so painful. I saw my wonderful massage therapist yesterday to try and work it out. My surgeon suggested I try 6 sessions before surgery. It was the most painful thing ever!!! I can not imagine endure more. My left arm is now really swollen...so I sought out your video. I sat and did everything you said. I feel empowered by your video, thank you. What are your feelings about massage helping with an encapsulated implant..?? Thanks again, I loved your video!!! XO

    Thank you Heather for this video tutorial...very helpful and taking my fears away! I am dealing with major symptoms/effects from cat scratch fever, am working in a developing nation so not going to the doctor (unless desperate). The scratch on my thumb led to armpit lymphadenitis, and now lymphatic cording (thank you, Google) (amongst many other effects)...pretty scary stuff. Doing your technique 3x/day, plus self-lymphatic drainage massage, plus yoga. Fingers crossed!

    Wonderful instructions. Easy to understand and follow. I had my lymph nodes removed in my left arm during a mastectomy. My left arm was always swollen. I now have no swelling, but a frozen shoulder. Could this be linked?

    • @michelles.5660
      @michelles.5660 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Reflxons It has been a year you made this comment. If your lymph nodes were removed and you have swelling in that arm, you are at risk in developing lymphedema. Please look for a certified lymphedema therapist in your area, you need to protect your left arm from cuts, insect bites, burns, or anything that hurts your arm because this will trigger lymphedema. You must wear compression garments for your arm and receive lymphatic drainage but redirecting the lymph towards healthy lymph nodes. This lymphatic drainage of this video won't really help you since you need to know how to redirect the lymph of your left arm towards healthy lymph nodes. So find a certified lymphedema therapist. Hope you feel better.

      Thank you for this reply. I too had lymph nodes removed from under my arm and I remember my doctor saying something about draining to healthy lymph nodes, but I don't remember how to do that. I guess I will need to find a treatment facility too.

    What does it mean if I got red spots all over my body after doing this?

    • @extraterrestrial3425
      @extraterrestrial3425 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That it works. Your body is getting rid of toxins and it's not uncommon that it shows up in form of red spots, pimples or an increase of eczema/psoriasis if you suffer from those kind of skin issues. The skin can tell us a lot about what's going on the inside of our bodies, we just need to pay attention and listen.
      And not that you asked for any, but my tip is to drink lots of fresh water, focus on eating healthy whole food (with no nasty animal products) and don't massage too much or quit for a while if it get's really bad so it doesn't become overwhelming.

I will sue old spice, idc if it's just me. They have no right to poison us. I'm disappointed and I really hope people pay attention to my comment. It sucks I want this numbness to go away...
