How to set Memory seats and easy exit on 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 ( and most late model Chevrolets)

  • I have had a few request to do this video after my last video where i asked if you guys wanted to know how to operate this. Setting these memory and easy exit functions are pretty easy you just have to know how chevy has it set up. The convenience of these functions when getting in and out of the car is awesome! Hope this video can help you guys out, I am fairly sure that if your buttons look like this on your chevy vehicle, then this procedure to set them will work for any newer Chevy.

    Thank you! I have had my 2019 Camaro SS since it was brand new & never knew how to set the seat easy exit on my car. I’m really short, so I have my seat almost as far as it will go & is hell trying to get out of it. I have set the seat memory but couldn’t figure out the exit part. Thank you! 😊

    Thank you! I’ve had my 2018 Camaro 2SS for 4 1/2 yrs and have never used this feature because it is not intuitive. Now after watching your video I will now use this feature. Wife will not drive my car, her choice, so I am usually the only driver and the seat stays set. I manually reset the seat after letting family friends drive.

      Common thing. I wish the dealership would spend more time telling people about these features but the fact is most of the salesman don’t even know that they do that or how to work it. Glad this video helped you out.

    Very nice video I used this in my Z06. One thing I did was tilt the steering wheel up in the exit memory. Also there might be an a exit option in the gen 6 to go to that position after you turn the car off not just when you open the door. I know my Z06 had that option. I’m getting ready to get a ZL1 I would think their very similar. Thanks for the video very informative!

    • @KnightsGarage
      @KnightsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes if you have the setting to assign the memory settings to a key it will do that. You can set up specific memory settings for each key and it saves radio stations and everything but it’s kind of complicated to set up. I did it on my wife’s GMC terrain and it’s pretty sweet once you get it set up but like I said it’s a pain to get there

    So I just set this up in my 2SS 1LE, it is an absolutely fantastic feature, I was having a quick read in the manual. Apparently you can set the memory recall to each key fob. So one key fob will automatically move to seat position 1 and the other key fob will automatically move to seat position 2. Do you how to achieve that?

    • @KnightsGarage
      @KnightsGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      get in with only that key fob and set them, but i haven't had much luck getting that to work properly.

    • @KnightsGarage
      @KnightsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NEKBR8KR Yeah Chevrolet made it overly complicated on all their vehicles. I guess they want to give you the option to sit how far back and in what position the seat goes for you to exit the easiest.
      But most manufactures just slide the seat down slightly and back about 8 to 10 inches and there’s no extra programming you just turn it on.
