Looks a quality unit catering for all builds with number of cables. Like the idea of sep cpu/pcie cables instead of pig tails I have on my cheap psu. Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath🐈👍 Brrr winter arrives as 6°C this morning🥶
Thats one pretty PSU right there. I know that everybody wont need over 1000w of juice but Id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I think any new build worth its salt should have a decent PSU at its core and if got at the right price this one seems to fit the bill. Thanks Thermaltake and thanks Mike and Kath 🙂
Gotta love a white build, liking that more companies, especially good brands like Thermaltake are taking a good stance with white ones. Great review Mike
Couldn't agree more! White builds do look really nice if done right. Watching the whites is a bit tricky at times, but at a bit of a distance who cares.
@@mikesunboxing My last 2 builds have been white themed allough not all white due to not everything being available. Next one hopefully will be all white
They go to all the trouble to produce a white PSU with white cables. Then they go and spoil it by putting black plugs on the ends of the cables. Is that just crazy, or is it just me?
Any recommendations for a 650 w PSU around £100 ? I'm thinking of stepping up from the 500w now I've got the Rx 6600 + i5 12400 , just want a bit of headroom .. or do I need it . I don't want the 500 prematurely expiring when I finally win the 1 on 1 race in wreck fest 😂
it is because the phrase is implying inherent quality, which obviously differs from brand to brand. I fully expect that some Chinese caps are superior to some Japanese ones. We often think that something made in China is also inherently worse than elsewhere. It is a broad statement that doesn't make any difference other than in marketing. We have the same here and like the made in america slogan, it is designed to infer quality, which may or may not be present in the finished product.
do NOT buy this psu. the GFA3, not to be confused with the GF3 is bascially a tuned down version of the latter. Lower quality transistors (besides main ones) and worse fans included. In all of my testing and working with the new GFA3 versions, I must say I've had the very most complaints when it came to noise. These PSU's (17 out of 20 used so far) are VERY loud with a very consistent sound profile which closely resembles coil whine. Just that it is directly linked to the fan used. During gaming it is on average 12-14dbA louder than the commonly used PSU's (be quiet!, Corsair, FSP, Seasonic). You also can't change the fan on it since the fan controller will have to be replaced too since it is only built to drive the specific fan used by factory.

I own the black GF3 1350w and it's never missed a beat. Great video👍🏼
Yeah the thermaltake psu range is pretty awesome
GF3 is superior to the GF A3.
@@insanity4082 yes it is

It is hard and expensive to get all white parts, I usually try and aim for a black and white theme just to save a little money
Looks like a good one, so adding a LIKE.
Thanks for the visit and lioke

seems pretty common, so there must be a reason for it

lol the 500w should be okay for now if it is a quality brand. There is a thermaltake BM3 range due out any time now, worth a look
Thanks
No problem
I bought a GF3 1000W... Durability : 3 weeks....! 😂.
I re-buy a GF A3 1200W recently... I will see the result in few weeks... 🤞
Best of luck! And sorry to hear about the early death of your unit
@@mikesunboxing no problem 🙂.
I had another PSU Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER 750W (since 2007) and she is still alive =)
The first time I ever had to RMA, a computer part
sorry to hear that. what was wrong with it?
David Underhill in your Live Streams has said the whole "Japanese Capacitor" thing is a scam; I would like to know why he says that.

does this have 3 8 pin connectors for a 7900xtx? i only see two
it has 4 but over 2 cables
How will that do for an intel icore 9 14000k ?
more than enough
OEM Mike?
Got it, thank you.

LoL white cables with black plugs xD
yeah it is a shame really
Honestly, the nice case is a total waste: how many times is one actially touching it? LOL
very true, but presentation matters, ask apple :-)
