I've spoken with the state water resources in the Idaho department of environmental quality and from both people. I've been informed that you can use the sluice Box anywhere as long as you are using mechanized equipment so if you use any water pumps. Or anything you have to have permits but if you're just have a sluice Box. You can put that bad pony in any river. You want brother Except for indesignated wilderness areas such as the river of no return

You need to concentrate your efforts on the smaller creeks in your area till the river goes down . In the area you were in you wanted to search out the areas where the old slucies would of emptied sand and small rocks. Peace Brother
I really appreciate when other miners show how it really is , it's kind of insulting 😅 to be honest when channels put out videos as they do when it not only messes up great channels like yours and mine "real prospectors " but it also gives a real misleading first impression to someone who has never been before. ...... but when you bring a whole crew to film you and go way down to the river it would get old for the ones filming and creating a plot if no nuggets were found rite 😅 so I guess you need to pick what you want to do gold wise on TH-cam it's either be legit and show what's really going on and bottom feed on stats ; or you fake it until you make it and 🎉 boom it becomes a breeze to stay current with the algorithm. Surging water is such a pain in the ass 😂 I have yelled directly at the yuba river on several occasions for doing such
