also when i create the text under the collection tab. next to the text on your screen there's a curve next to it. on mine there's just a letter A next to the text collection . idk if that matters but mines not the same as yours

the pressing space part to search "lim" din work for me so it was f3 instead

Yep it is f3 by default true

when i try converting the text too mesh. there's no option too choose convert to mesh from curve/meta/surf/text. there's only a option to choose convert to meth. idk if that matters

It shouldn't say convert to meth, Blender doesn't promote meth usage at all.
Silly jokes aside, this is because you probably use a more recent version of Blender. Meaning stays the same.

Could be different reasons - hard to say without any pictures...try moving the objects slightly and see if it makes a difference
