Brick cheese has a lot more flavor than the regular Mozzarella pizzas usually have and that is what makes these pizzas different.
These were at my Meijer today for $12. Regular price, no sale.
I was really happy to see a review of the frozen Buddy's! I've actually been looking for this to try and compare it to the real deal. Buddy's is probably one of my favorite pizza here in Metro Detroit, and there are a lot of great pizza places here. Mmmmm, sooooo good! Shirley here, i am from michigan and the buddys pizzas are the best. The frozen arnt that hood but if you ever ate a buddys restaurant is so good and always busy.

@@TamiDunn yes they have a butter taste to the crust. It's the pans they bake them in and their antipasto salad with the pizza is the best. I am going to try the frozen. I think they have it at Targets
I've had the original Buddy's more times than I can count. This doesn't look right at all. The picture on the packaging is how it should look. This looks rather wan. But I'm glad you enjoyed it! I hope it finds it's way out to Colorado. As a transplant from Detroit, I miss Buddy's!

To be fair that pizza comes in at 33 ounces. Most frozen pizzas in the $8-10 range are 20-24 ounces so 33% more pizza for 33% more money seems about right. A medium vs large take out.
Motor City Pizza Pepperoni Pizza is 26.17 ounces (1 pounds 10.17 ounces) and it is $7.97 at Walmart. We would choose it any day over this one :)
How does this compare to Detroit style pizza company? These look amazing

I know it's traditional for the sauce to be on top but I personally tned tend to like sauce heavy pizzas like Connie's or home run inn. But I know that's a personal preference lol.
As far as this pizza how's as good as as it looks 13$ seems a bit much when I get my favorite frozen pizza Connie's for 5-6.99. If they have a sausage and peperoni flavor I would give it a try and it went to maybe 8 or 9$
They will definitely have to lower their prices.
They like putting their toppings under the sauce.. Whack 🤣

The price is very high for frozen pizza.
Love the cheese on buddy’s but, I think Motor city frozen pizza is slightly better.

Tried it,disappointed..sauce was bland.crust was good. Overall a expensive bland tasting pizza.had other frozen pizza's that have better taste( Crescenta, just 1).I won't be buying it again.
We highly recommend Motor City Pizza.
this was the worst pizza ever - you must like the taste of cheese flavored cardboard, absolutely no sauce ! Been a fan of Buddy's pizza stores, but this frozen crap was absolutely horrible,
We would much rather have Motor City Pizza.
When Pizza Hut releases their Detroit-Style pizza, the sauce is on top. I was at Meijer this morning and they have these. I was torn but decided against it, just too pricey. The Connie's and Home Run Inn Pizza's were 2/$10 and went with those-4 pizzas for $20. Our Meijer FINALLY got the Motor City Cheese Bread, so I picked up ne to try. Buddy's looks good but that price is just too much. I think you are right, that pan clearly factors into the price.
I wouldn’t choose this over others because of the price. I don’t blame you at all.
