I would it a try as it sounds so good after your review. The price is high when you compare it to my favorite one also, MC, and it’s cost. Maybe I’ll find it at my grocery store before it’s stocked in Walmart?? Thanks a million for a great review. Now I’m wanting a hot piece of pizza, lol! Have a fantastic and warm fall day.
I live in Dearborn Michigan and live right near Buddy's and go there all the time. Its a sit down restaurant here. Its amazing pizza! You can make it however you like, of course, but at Buddys is never browned. Since I've had Buddys I need to a review on this too, to see how it compares.
Some of our local places sell their pizza at our grocery stores… they cost about $12… the crust is handmade… as is the sauce. I like a simple sauce with high quality ingredients… I like how they package it too… as the packaging has a function
For those in the comments wanting to try it, but dont have a meijer near them, they do ship them in the Continental United States. I live in Detroit and have experienced how good they are fresh. I sent one to my friend in Chicago for his birthday. You just have to go through their website.
Tami, what is your favorite brand of Cheese pizza? That price is still cheaper than getting a square thick pizza like this from a pizza place, where they run around $18.00. Everything you described sounds perfect to me! (For example, no chunks. I have to blend most spaghetti sauces because I hate all those chunks! I even blend the Walmart egg potato salad because I can’t stand those big hunks of onion in it.).
It looks like what here in the UK is sold as deep pan. Which is basically just a thick base pizza that's more like bread. They're usually the cheaper pizzas sometimes less than the equivalent of a Dollar for a big pizza. They're very good value for money at say places like Aldi. It's like 89p for a meat feast pizza. Asda do Detroit style pizza that sort of looks like this but I noticed Detroit style they seem to put the toppings on in reverse. But with the Asda one it's just a normal pizza on a rectangular thick base.
American frozen pizza always look sooooo much better than European ones, it's like day and night. I'm always jealous every time I watch your frozen pizza review haha
I’ve had Buddy’s from the restaurant (carry out) and it’s really good. Too bad you don’t get the restaurant where you have the breadsticks and salads and other pizza flavors where you are because they’re really good. I’m from Michigan so it’s kind of obvious that I’ve had it because of that.
Can you try DiGiorno's hand tossed pepperoni pizza? Or pineapple and ham pizza? Not sure how you feel about Hawaiian but, recommendation for you to try, thank you!
They said do not put in a microwave oven because it is in a aluminum pan which will cause arching in the oven. If the arcing electricity hits the walls of the microwave the walls will burn and melt where they are hit.
Man a decent pizza joint where i live in texas is like 30-40$ for a pizza 😢 Even a basic dominoes 1 topping here is like 15. Little ceasers is the only under 10$ your getting here
This wouldn't be called pizza in my area. This is just bread with pizza toppings 😂 It does seem decent if you prefer that, but imo the sauce needs flavor. I load up my homemade pizza sauce with garlic/onion, salt/pepper, spices and herbs.. I'm not a fan of bland 😆
I think the pizza 🍕 looks delicious but you can get Pizza out for that price. Like y’all said people will have to decide on that. I was excited to see this review even though Alabama will probably never see this brand, ha! Great review
I like that the way you describe the crispness of the crust. I love anything cheese as long as it brings the flavor. This sounds delicious, however no Meijer ☹️ Great review.
We lived in MI for a few years and I recall going to a Buddy's location. We never enjoyed Detroit style pizza. Too bready. Being from Buffalo, NY where pizza is king, we had standards 😅
For the price, I can get Jet's Detroit-Style. Heck I can get 2 pizzas from Topper's. I'm not a fan of Motor city but would definitely try this if it was like $8 or $9.
I’m from Michigan, and Buddy’s Pizza is great pizza. It’s expensive, but definitely worth the price to me.
I’m glad you enjoy it 😃
Id love to find this somewhere. I'd happily pay the price. Detroit Deep Dish is my favorite, and Buddy's supposedly does it best.

I hope other stores will have them and be cheaper.

I’m glad you live close enough to eat it when it’s fresh and not frozen 😃

Do they sell this brand?

Motor City Pizza 5 Cheese Bread is our favorite.
How is the taste when compared to Motor City? I know the price is definitely more with Buddy's.
That’s what I was wondering. They didn’t really touch on that, much.
Motor City is still our #1 😃
Happy Thanksgiving, Tami.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

I’m glad you can get the Detroit style 😃
I'd rather get two Motor City's at Costco for the same price.
I would too 😉
Have u tried Tillamook frozen pizza? they make good cheese so I wonder if the pizza is good
It’s not available in our area yet.
American frozen pizza always look sooooo much better than European ones, it's like day and night. I'm always jealous every time I watch your frozen pizza review haha
You know we appreciate you watching 😃
mmmm nice delicious pizza 😋 looks tasty and that crust looks crunchy
I would try it if it was cheaper like you said getting a pizza from dominos is cheaper. But if I do find it in Walmart I'll definitely try it.

I’m sure the real deal will always beat the frozen version 😃

Thank you for the recommendation!
@@TamiDunn you're welcome, but I meant rising crust not hand tossed, sorry
Motor City is my favorite.i enjoy the review
Ours too 😃
Sounds good

Exactly.

Very much on the higher side, price wise and only for that reason I’d not pick one of these up. Thanks for the review.
We totally agree!
Omg... that corner piece....
🙌🏻🙌🏻
:( I thought it was Cake Boss pizza. Looks good still though!
I understand because of the name!
I assumed that you couldn't microwave it cause of the pan.
That’s right 😃
Hay look at this way it has less calories than a cheese cake slice or about the same as a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.
That’s true!
Today’s a super cheesy day! I love seeing the savoury/salty food reviews ❤️
Hope you enjoyed it!
I’m w Kevin lol take out of pan before cutting

I will definitely be disappointed then as Pecan pie is one of if not my favorite dessert 😢 but butter Pecan ice cream is just mediocre to me.
Theres waaay better pizza joints in Detroit and surrounding area

I wonder if they will be sold anywhere else.
@@TamiDunn I hope so, I would really like to try it.

It seems that each area believes theirs is better 😄
This has been a cheesy day 😅 2 Sweet and 2 savoury cheese reviews 😊
Hope you enjoyed it! 😄
It's definitely Pizza Bread, & too pricey for it being that!
For the price, I can get Jet's Detroit-Style. Heck I can get 2 pizzas from Topper's. I'm not a fan of Motor city but would definitely try this if it was like $8 or $9.
I agree; they need to make them more affordable. The pan that they brag about is probably why they are more expensive. It’s not worth it.
