It’s overly nice and too accommodating that’s the issue I have noticed, and from my own errors of experience. I have no prob being genuinely kind, expressing real friendliness…most of the time. But no, I’m not always in those moods and I don’t pretend to be. I have in the past though and I can confirm, it was forced. To me, the average “niceness”, frankly, it isn’t very nice at all. It’s just tolerating behavior you don’t like by giving what you actually want from the other person in hopes you can get them to change. Doing that reeks of low confidence, user energy, fakeness, and like she said, people-pleasing. When one is too nice, it can come off as an ass-kisser and a fraud vibe. And no one can expect other people to not take issue with that, even if it’s that they’re unconsciously turned off. The fact is, flat out, people just don’t respect low confidence. You don’t have to go be the polar opposite and become some slick-mouthed, mean b*tch either as people will tire of that and despise you just as much as well.
