Nice start on what looks to be a good series. Keep it up. BTW, I would LOVE to see a couple episodes of your Portrait of a Bodypainter series shot in VR180 but that might just be me (hint, it absolutely is not just me). ;-)

Excellent video! Please help if you can: I'm using the Vuze XR trying to record 3D 180 and when I upload it to TH-cam the video doesn't play but the audio does. I've tried several times. The only thing I'm not doing that you mentioned is using the Google VR 180 software, which seems impossible to download. You and others have links for where to get it, but the page at the link has no downloads. :/

Thanks so much for posting this. I have worked as a videographer and photographer, but I have found that the workflow for VR video is one of the biggest bottlenecks. I currently own the Yi 360 VR camera and am editing on Davinci Resolve 16. So here is my question: the Yi camera stitches 360 video in 6K with quite good quality. But I would actually like to provide clients with 180 video. Is there anyway to crop or reformat an equirectangular 360 video to 180. Or do I have to buy a new camera, like the vuze vr camera which can handle both formats? I searched far and wide on the internet but couldn't find an answer.

Will the camera and software allow for capture of photography that can be exported as single frames to Word Documents for use in technical reports? Do you have a tutorial on doing that? I have camera on order from Amazon, waiting on delivery. My goal is to take "StreetView" type photography with camera mounted in truck via open sunroof on pole.

I really wish Google still provided the VR180 Creator App the seemed to have abandoned. Luckily I still have a copy and it works on my new MacBook Pro 14 with the M1 Pro Chip.

Key point: 360 over under, 180 side by side.
