Thank you for walking me through this it's my first time making it. I made blackberry jam. It's amazing that I came across your video because after I mashed my berries it came to a little over 2 cups so this video worked perfect for me. Thank you so much😊❤
You are so welcome! It has been my hope that my channel does just that - walking people through cooking! knowing that it helped you and many others gives me so much joy and the drive to continue. Thank you!
When I saw your sugar drawer I said oh yeah she's my kind of gal😂🎉 I have frozen strawberries and I'm going to do raspberry too I love raspberries. Cool
Love the video! I just made my first batch of strawberry freezer jam and I can barely wait to eat it haha. Love your videos and your calm straightforwardness. Looking forward to more content :) I came for the jam but I'm staying for your lovely personality. -Caitlyn
I got the bowl for a wedding gift 30 years ago. I did find one on Amazon, it's a bit expensive, but well worth it! I think I use that bowl everyday- and I think its in every video I have made. :)
It's one envelope of pectin for 2 c berries and 4 c sugar, right? You wrote package, and I saw you pour in one envelope, so just want to make sure I get it right. For this same ratio, another youtuber wrote 1 box, which seemed extreme.
It is 1 box (1.75oz) of sure jell pectin that I use. There is one pouch per box. This is the recipe for freezer jam. It might seem like a lot but for the amount of fruit the jam sets up beautifully.
@@InTheKitchenWithDinah Appreciate the quick response the other day! I had grabbed Knox Gelatin (4 envelopes per box), not Sure Jell pectin. I last made jam in 2019 and I *know* the difference but just wasn't thinking in my quick grocery trip for more important items. Regardless, I found a freezer jam recipe using Knox gelatin and it firmed up beautifully but I haven't tasted it yet. I saved this video for future use.
First jam I ever made, 50 years ago. Still a good recipe.
It is the best!!

That is easier than I thought. I look forward to making some.
Looks really good, thank you! I'd also like peach, and a bit chunky.
Great time of the year.

Hello and thank you for your video. Quick question, I like the lemon flavor with my jam. Can I add lemon juice to this recipe?
Yes you can!

You’re welcome 😊- It is my pleasure, enjoy your homemade jam
Sure jell stopped putting the direction insert in their sure jell box..I found out the hard way..
Oh no! That sure makes it hard to make jam. I hope you found my video helpful.
I love this video but you have time’s most powerful computer in your hands. They have tons of recipes on their website!
I have just half cup extra strawberries crushed. Is it ok to put it in the recipe?
It probably is or you could use it on ice cream or cereal
She doesn’t get ants in the drawer
