      Hi Meg, if you let your Berries come up to just over ripe, then use them immediatly so they don't mold. You will get the natural Sweetness. If you use artificial sweeteners just sprinkle a little over top to taste. Good Luck.

      Any sweetener you’re familiar with would be the best for you. Stevia is the most natural. But you use a very small amount to sweeten it. And you would blend your clear gel with your fruit so it wouldn’t lump rather than trying to mix it with your alternative sweeteners. There’s also honey, agave, and xylitol. For a few alternatives to

      I’m so glad you’ll try it. Remember to order clear gel instant. They generally store for two weeks in your refrigerator. The reason you put it in the freezer is long-term storage. When our fruit trees are producing l am making gallons and gallons of the jam. If you’re just making one or two containers they could easily go in the fridge. And the answer is yes you do defrost it before using it. GOOD LUCK 😘.

    Hello Grandma Adeline…..I’m buying needed items getting ready for canning. I bought the clear jell right after your Freezer Strawberry Video. I usually make my jam, put in jars and water bath. If you know how much Clear Jell in the jam or is it not done?
    I thank you greatly 😊🙏🏼

    • @sweetgrandmaadeline5994
      @sweetgrandmaadeline5994  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can make freezer jam or cooked jam and bottle it. There is Clear Jel instant that thickens by agitating and must be used for freezer jam. Then there is clear jel regular that will thicken by heat. I have used my instant and it also thickens by heat but you need to mix the clear jel thoroughly with your sugar before you add it to your fruit, or you need to blend it so it will not lump. The measurements will still be the same. One cup fruit to one Tablespoon clear jel and sugar to taste. I hope this helps you. ❤️
