    Thanks for the video. You made a similar point in another video to “think rhythmically”. I appreciate the tip, but I think there is significant room to elaborate on that (dare I say even a whole video!). I am a newer musician, and I think many people who are getting into CCM won’t have that experience or musical intuition to “play rhythmically” or “think like a drummer”. That’s my two cents anyway, thanks for the helpful content

      Certainly bro, I will make a video on it and follow up with a full course cause you are right. Another commenter said the same thing so I need to think through this. Thanks for the advice 😀

    Thank you for the very helpful tips! How do you know whether to play sus2 or sus4 chords? Or does it not matter much?

      Yeahh, its extrenly late to answer now😂 but Its a thing that you just feel with the time you learn.
      If there is a worship piano player near you that you could ask, i would recommend you to ask him about it

    Surely I have just found your channel Hutchinson.... But you are my greatest now.... First of all you're a teacher and you can nature someone to be a teacher too.
    I liked the basis of CCM.... I used to mimic but unknowingly

    Thanks sir for this lesson I have two questions
    1. What is the difference between gospel music and worship?
    2. Are SUS chords Minor or major?

    • @calebrussell5841
      @calebrussell5841 ปีที่แล้ว

      Worship music kind of sticks to the key. Doesn’t really escape outside of the box if you will. Gospel more of explores dominant chords and secondary dominants that provide a way to play another key, within whatever key you’re in. Which makes it sound “dirty” and gives you a “stank” face lol!!
      Sus chords can be both major and minor

    Thanks for this straight advice. What i also find helpful sometimes ist to not play three notes in the right hand but only the outer two. Also known as "Power-Cords"

    are you sure you got the sus4 chord correct ? I thought you raise the 3rd on a sus 4. Please answer and would love to know your name also

    • @PlayCreatively
      @PlayCreatively  ปีที่แล้ว

      Davin Hutchinson and yes I rewatched and it’s correct.
      You can raise the 3rd a half step, or what I say in the video is “play the note one step down from the 5th “ it’s the same idea just looking at it from different directions

    What’s the difference in worship and gospel music.

    • @PlayCreatively
      @PlayCreatively  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my church music context, Worship music is often referred to as CCM (Christian Contemporary Music) and Gospel as black gospel music.
      In the the broader sense I know worship is our response to our Creator.
