You can never over do it with jewels. What a picture of Kate in the red dress showing off her gams!! Completely gorgeous. Resplendent ❤️ I've loved the Strathmore Rose Tiara! I have a book of royal jewels and have always admired it.
Princess Catherine always dresses for the occasion, welcoming for the Korean state visit, or at a sports event. King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Catherine are wonderful! I love the history of the royal tiaras and jewels. Thank you for all you do!
One can't have too many diamonds on Elliot. It was really interesting to see the Rose Tiara on Katherine. And the red ensemble with cape......gorgeous.
I think it suited princess Catherine she is a queen in waiting and a mother to a future king. I loves how their clothes were the flag colours. I love how the royals talk through clothes and jewels 💎. They talk through photos ect
I doubt very much that HRH Catherine Princess of Wales was thinking about Sparkle when choosing her outfits for the state banquet - she has far more important things to do
Thank you very much for the well researched video. You go above and beyond for us!! I never knew anything about the Strathmore Tiara. I thought Catherine, Princess of Wales looked incredible in her red dress and later wearing the Queen Mum's Strathmore Rose Tiara. She is the best thing to have happen to the Royal Family. Prince William really chose well and was so lucky to have found her. She is more elegant than Princess Diana. Catherine has a special beauty about her. I can just imagine that MEGA- LIAR MEGAIN blowing her top off about how great Catherine looked. It was so nice to see once again how William looks at her and the PDA they shared. Oh, I saw your kitty napping on your couch. Could you show us your kitty's face on your video sometime? Also, what a nice touch by having your TV on fireplace!!!
Siempre he dicho lo mismo .. La princesa Catherine es más elegante que Diana .. Y la princesa Catherine a realizó mejor conducción del cargo que la suegra .. Definitivamente mi princesa favorita es Catherine.. Saludos
I loved what the Duchesses of Edinburgh and Gloucester were wearing!!! I believe from photos I’ve seen The Duchess of Gloucester went out before the Duchess of Edinburgh- I would have thought Sophie would have came out first?
Not without Edward. I made a video a long time ago about royal family order of precedence. Wives (unless the sovereign) derive their position from their husbands.
Thank you so much Elliott! I was so excited to see your post as I knew we would learn so much about the tiara the Princess of Wales wore to the banquet. I definitely prefer it worn as on the top rather than bandeau style.
@@RoyalReviewer Hi Elliott For the past 7 years I've always tuned into your channel for the knowledge and wisdom of the Royal Family both past and present but your headline is the same click bait you'd receive from a Sussex squad channel (Anti Royal Family) or a Anti H& M channel . I love the 20s esthetic and would like to see this tiara worn as a bandeau. It is kind of demode, yes, but Catherine is so naturally elegant that she could pull it off.
Elliot , The history of those crowns is very interesting . Add some more or that , please , if someone else comes up wearing a different tiara . What was Anne wearing ? Thank you ❣️
The Princess Royal was wearing The Festoon Tiara, the Festoon necklace given to her by her parents for her 18th birthday, the ribbon brooch given to her by the King on the occasion of her wedding in 1973. She also wore the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II and the badge of the Order of the Garter

Thanks Elliot, I personally much prefer the ruby tiara that the Queen Mother wore (oriental circlet?), rather than the Burmese ruby tiara. I think the oriental circlet is lighter and more graceful than the burmese ruby tiara which looks very 'heavy' to me.
I’m wondering if royal brides ever wear the tiara they wore at their wedding again. It could be an informal custom. Though I do recall maybe seeing the Queen’s looking more balanced after a proper repair. I can always see the one slightly wonky space where it was temporarily repaired in the wedding photos. Diana wore the Spencer tiara again maybe after, but that was her family’s. It makes sense not to wear your bridal tiara again-at least not for a while. And yes, nice to see the Strathmore roses now!
I heard that the Strathmore Rose tiara was considered too fragile to be worn so some work must have been done on it. It is lovely and Princess Catherine looked spectacular in it. Bandeau styles are not in at the moment, but in the 20s and the 80s they were the height of fashion! I like the on top of the head style. Now, I would love to see the Poltimore tiara on Catherine's head, but alas, It was sold off when Princess Margaret died. I thought I saw Black Pink sitting at dinner!
When Sarah married Prince Andrew, she was gifted the York Tiara with a matching necklace and earrings from HLM The Queen. For the length of their marriage, I do not recall Sarah ever borrowing a tiara from the Royal collection. The last sighting was when Princess Beatrice wore it for the royal wedding in Jordan. The placement was slightly askew, but you could only tell from above.
Hello, The Queen Victoria small crown is part of The Crown jewells exibition in The Tower of London (I saw it there last week). So I don't think it could be worn on "working" Occassions like The state banquets.
I think it could. If you look at other occasions it was previously worn they were not just for state occasions. I think at some point it was deemed worthy of permanent display but technically doesn’t form part of the Crown Jewels as such as it was personally purchased by Queen Victoria. Think of it as on long term loan to The Tower. Same can be said for the Queen’s Cullinan brooch which was set in the consorts crown instead of the log-i-noor. As far as we are aware it’s still in the crown but is personal jewels of King Charles. I’d personally get it back and wear it to Morrisons with an elegant up doo. 😉
Elliott you look fab in all your jewels!! Loved the days of old when you dressed for Saturday night broadcasts. That red cape and dress gorgeous. Really liked seeing the tiaras being worn and bring it on!!
so glad I found you again Elliot! I used to watch River, but...your the best. red carpet, I think the ppl walking on it are easier to see. definatly, the P & P of Wales looked uncomfortable (for good reason) when they drove, standing up, in the land rover during trip to Bahamas
I’m guessing the opals that were originally set in the necklace Queen Camilla was wearing are also in the royal vault. Queen Alexandra had them replaced when she inherited the necklace from Queen Victoria. Legend has it that she was afraid to wear opals as she thought them a harbinger of bad luck. Perhaps that’s why we have not seen any opals worn by members of the royal family.
In the late 50s, or early 60s, Queen Elizabeth was given a necklace and earrings from Australia while on tour there. They were set with Australian opals and were gorgeous! The queen wore the necklace once on that same tour, and that was it. The pieces were never seen again. I would LOVE to see them on the Princess of Wales!
I understand MMs game of competing PR by releasing pics on/or about the same time as either the King or the Prince and Princess on Wales are making news. Any thoughts on when KC III might debut his family order, and colors for it? A seafoam color would look nice next to the late Queens famiy order, or a light silver.
I don't care for the bandeau style of wearing a tiara. It worked for the Queen Mother when she was very young because at the time it was the 1920s flapper style to wear headbands on the forehead so it was a way for the young Elizabeth to be seen as modern. Also, I think it looked nice on her small, roundish face. I actually didn't like it when Diana tried it. When she did it people said it was fun or creative, but to me it wasn't flattering on her more angular face, and it made the tiara look like she was wearing a costume. I think it would be disastrous for Catherine to do it because it would be seen as such a blatant imitation of Diana. Sure, nods from Catherine to Diana are nice, but that would be seen more as lazy imitation.
so happy to see the Strathmore rose tiara!!!! I had read it was very delicate due to age, so perhaps it was overhauled for Catherine. why hasn't Charles come out with his family order? Catherine could carry the bandeau look off, depending on the dress. if it was in a 20's style..... Diana wore the Cambridge emeralds are a bandeau. that Ruby tiara is my least favorite one. The Oriental Circlet is ok. the rubies are smaller.
That's My Girl ❤❤❤❤❤ Eat Your Heart Out Meghan..... I was scrolling posts on my phone and I found hate posts of Kate so I crashed them lol Kate has it all and even The People To Back Her
I agree! We simply do t know at this point. Most likely no due to it not technically being necessary in these harder economic times. Would be nice though!
So Camilla had the long term loans of: Greyville Boucheron ( her go to) Dehli Durbar ( worn once) the Strathmore rose ( never worn) and The Teck tiara ( never worn by her). Now that she has first dibs on the jewelry vault perhaps she passed these on to Catherine ( except for the Boucheron) she is known for that one. I am so glad Catherine has debuted the Strathmore, now I hope she debuts the Teck tiara next. She has the hair for that one!!
I think, but cannot say for sure that Queen Camilla had her own 'Shand' family tiara that we saw from time to time plus the Boucheron tiara and the Delhi. I don't think she had on long term loan the Strathmore or Teck. I think they went to Queen Elizabeth ll. Now Queen Camilla has access to them all!
After the Queen Mother’s death in 2002, the Teck Crescent Tiara was made available to a new wearer: the Duchess of Cornwall, now Queen Camilla. Queen Elizabeth II gave it as a long-term loan to Camilla, along with two other tiaras worn by the Queen Mother (the Delhi Durbar Tiara and the Greville Tiara). But while Camilla has worn both of those jewels in public, she has still never worn the Teck Crescent Tiara in public. Our most recent glimpse of the rose and crescent tiara came in 2012, when it was photographed for The Queen’s Diamonds as part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Wouldn’t it be nice to see it worn again? Since you are wearing it today 🤗 Good articles at the Court Jeweler.
I’ll check my copy of 2012 Diamonds book. (It’s at the old house) It might say in there that ‘Duchess of Cornwall’ had it but other than that book I’m unclear where the source would be to have revealed what tiaras are on long term loan. It’s not typically announced. We only usually find out after a first wearing when the press are briefed that a piece is on long term loan. So unless it says so in the official Diamonds book I’d have to put doubt on the validly of that claim.
I think what Catherine wears when she dresses for her professional work, whether business meetings or state visit dinners has absolutely NOTHING to do with Meghan Markle and what she might think. Catherine, Princess of Wales, has consistently just gotten on with her work, wherever it may take her and into however formal or informal the situation, and has no need to consider MM in any way, shape, or form. Catherine has always dressed impeccably and with the best of taste and class. The fact that she has come even further into her own is representative of her age and greater responsibilities. She is not the kind of petty person to dress for MM's comfort or lack thereof. She dresses for her position and the occasion.
Kate needs to take a break, managing 3 kids and royal engagements . I cannot think how beautiful the kIng and queen wld have looked with diana by his side. Kate does not have to show skin, she is so beautiful will look stunning even in v ordinary clothes
Honestly I just think Kate didn't stun for me this week 😢 the Queen's red dress was lovely but I feel like the color was way too bright for an indoor occasion. It wore her
I rather like when tiaras are worn slightly forward so as to see them better. I think the Strathmore Rose Tiara would have looked amazing if Catherine had worn her hair slicked back and teased on top like how she wore it during the Diplomatic Corp reception in Buckingham Palace back in Dec 22.
Totally inappropriate for the occasion. It screams look at me for attention. While all the other leaders wives were dressed in dark colours, and greys . Business like attire. She looked as if she was going out on a valentines date.
Revenge dress?!!! You’ve got to be kidding. Zorro outfit. It looked ridiculous. Possibly the worst outfit she’s ever worn. Why does she need a revenge outfit anyway? So you’re saying she is nasty and vengeful. Got it.
I love the Princess of Wales but was not a fan of her red outfit. It was too dramatic, too revealing. It was a look Meghan Markle would have pulled to overshadow the guests. She would never have tried this if the Queen was still alive. I think tiaras should be worn like a crown, on the head.
You Are wrong , Princess Meghan would Never wear that Much Red together, Red is a over powerful color , to much can hurt , Princess Meghan is a Fashion Icon and would never wear that , I don't understand why Princess Meghan name is mentioned in this by Elliott or you , totally unnecessary Derangement on your part ,
@@maryh9569 Meghan is not a princess ( not even close). Her title is Duchess of Sussex. If her Duchess title was removed, she would be titled Princess Henry of Wales . Never Princess Meghan.
@olympic-gradelurker That wasn't a whole Red Riding Hood look like what Kate Middlebum did , Red is a very Powerful Color, too much Can hurt , and it definitely made Kate Middlebum look like she stole Red Riding Hood Style, I've seen Kate wear Red , but the hat , Cape too much, I still doesn't see why Princess Meghan name being mentioned with the Middlebums, The Sussex left that God awful place 3-4 years ago, Give it a Rest ,
While Queen Camilla looks fantastic from head to toe, the tiara Princess Catherine is wearing don’t work on her, perhaps she just wanted to wear something lighter. The non-tiara tiara she wore at the Coronation look so much better on her than this one. Actually, this size would probably look better on Meghan. And what about the first lady from South Korea wearing black. If Meghan had been there wearing black, well we all know the negative things that would be said towards her. But really, how does one eat while wearing a tiara like the one Camilla has on and how much do the tiaras weigh, I have to say she does look stunning in that bell sleeve crush red velvet gown with matching tiara.
Kate looked EXTREMELY inappropriate as she was getting out of the car. She was basically flashing her thighs and it looked to me that she wasn't making the slightest effort to cover up. Very tacky. Can you even imagine what people would be saying if Meghan did that??? The hypocrisy is absolutely off the charts!! Plus, I thought Kate was obsessed with tights? Doesn't look like she's wearing any!
Thank you for saying this. If I'd said it, I would be accused of being a hater. What bothers me is the HYPOCRISY of it all. It's like when First Lady Obama was seen with short or sleeveless dressea in hot weather. She, along with her daughters, was berated for this. Meanwhile, First Lady Malania Trump is praised for her fashion sense despite the fact she posed nude and slept her way to a green card. Little girls are to look up to Malania, but Michelle, who has a law degree, a good employment record, and no scandal, should be vilified. Until now, NO royal member has ever gotten out of a car like that-not even Sarah! People should be clutching their pearls!😮🤬
"Take that Meghan"? Yeah, we all know that's why she wore this embarrassing dress. She desperately wants to outshine Meghan, but alway end up falling short. I guess now that Meghan is gone, the oh so important, Royal protocol, no longer applies. What Kate Middleton and her handlers, fail to realize, is showing way too much skin and leg, just makes her look cheap. Not at all like a princess.

Lol, Elliott! I got my ears pierced when I was gifted with opal earrings 😁
Elliott, would you mind explaining the wearing of sashes and how they choose which to wear? Thanks from Canada. 🇨🇦
So elegant getting of the car!
so happy to see the Strathmore rose tiara!!!!
I don't think the Queen was very happy about Diana doing that.
@@kadeedid8696 I loved it. even Queen Mary mixed up and changed up the jewelery.
Oh my gosh I love you❤
I wasn't black pink at the state. Visit banquet?
Yes and I doubt the King would be able to pick them out lol
Oh, let the Queen out properly. Love to see it. 😊
There is no such thing as overdoing it with jewels, just ask Queen Mary! You look regal,Royal Reviewer!
Tiara definitely should be worn on the top of the head, not the forehead
Well done❤
That's My Girl ❤❤❤❤❤ Eat Your Heart Out Meghan..... I was scrolling posts on my phone and I found hate posts of Kate so I crashed them lol Kate has it all and even The People To Back Her
Hi Elliot love your work- just a question 🙋♀️ is prince William going to have an investiture 🫅??such a shame if not .🏴🇦🇺
@@RoyalReviewer I am sure I read that somewhere but I could be wrong too. I will Google it and see if I find anything. 🤗
@@RoyalReviewer totally understand 🤗 I found the info @ The Court Jeweler.
You look GREAT,
Black Pink were at the banquet so I hope someone had explained who they were. Maybe Charles is a fan lol.
Kate needs to take a break, managing 3 kids and royal engagements . I cannot think how beautiful the kIng and queen wld have looked with diana by his side. Kate does not have to show skin, she is so beautiful will look stunning even in v ordinary clothes
I don't love Rubys either.
😂❤😂😂❤ 21:18
Honestly I just think Kate didn't stun for me this week 😢 the Queen's red dress was lovely but I feel like the color was way too bright for an indoor occasion. It wore her
Camilla looked stunning in the red
no leave Tiaras original
I rather like when tiaras are worn slightly forward so as to see them better. I think the Strathmore Rose Tiara would have looked amazing if Catherine had worn her hair slicked back and teased on top like how she wore it during the Diplomatic Corp reception in Buckingham Palace back in Dec 22.
Overdone it with the jewels?? Whatever gave you *that* idea?
I thought I was very minimal
Totally inappropriate for the occasion. It screams look at me for attention. While all the other leaders wives were dressed in dark colours, and greys . Business like attire. She looked as if she was going out on a valentines date.
Camilla is the only one that suits the larger tiara
Where does Meghan fits in all these? Why bringing her in the title? Is it for like?
Bandeau style = NO not attractive at all
Revenge dress?!!! You’ve got to be kidding. Zorro outfit. It looked ridiculous. Possibly the worst outfit she’s ever worn. Why does she need a revenge outfit anyway? So you’re saying she is nasty and vengeful. Got it.
She wasn't looking for revenge. I think it's just that markle looks like a little boy in clothes and Kate always looks elegant.
Oh yes mumble Kate dressed up like Mary Poppin showing her pale blue cheese legs to the world 😂not following the protocol
I love the Princess of Wales but was not a fan of her red outfit. It was too dramatic, too revealing. It was a look Meghan Markle would have pulled to overshadow the guests. She would never have tried this if the Queen was still alive. I think tiaras should be worn like a crown, on the head.
Agree! Unbecoming as a Princess and future queen! And rather low rooty look. Mate👎😡
Oh yes she does www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a31262662/meghan-markle-red-gown-mountbatten-music-festival-photos/
Meghan who?
No need to mention people that are not in the RF anymore 😎
They do and can add elastic at the back. I’ve done the same with some of my tiaras
Probably a 5 denier tight or even a 10 in such a pale shade. Perfect as always
@@babs5968 LOL! "Perfect as always"? Are you serious?
Yes
Catherine could wear sack cloth and look perfect.
Love your jewels! Never too much! Lol. Catherine looks beautiful!
I’ve never gone on about ‘royal protocol’ barking up the wrong tree here m’dear.
Is this Meghan?
Too much red 😂with her pale legs not following Royal protocol
There is no royal rule book of protocol when it comes to tights. I’ve said that on YT since 2015!
Why do you have to involve meghan? She doing her own thing alone and being beautiful as always. What a pretty lady meghan is. Take that!
Pity she’s so vicious and does nothing but self promotion 😊
Pretty with an awful personality. It’s unfortunate
