    I never had acne before getting on the pill, I simply got on because I didn’t want to get pregnant. But after 3 years I wanted to give my body a break from those artificial hormones. Now, it’s been 4 months and I’m getting cystic acne and it sucks so bad. Thank you so much for this video! I appreciate this so much, you’re a doll.

    I stopped taking the pill almost 5 months ago, at the same time I went vegan. The first week my skin looked freaking amazing and suddenly it broke out like crazy. I still have a face like my 13-year old me. It gets better from time to time. Sunshine definately helped and eating more raw than cooked food. I also noticed one time when my skin got better that I smoked a cigarette (I rarely smoke) that I had serious Acne for almost 2 weeks after that. And it's the same with alcohol.I hope my body will balance out in the next months.Thank you so much for your channel. I'm really enjoying your videos :)

    • @carolinaolphert1
      @carolinaolphert1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vanessa Black I got checked and I ended up finding out that your hormones go out of balance so they recommend you to do a hormone testing (hormones, progesterone, etc) and they do the hormone treatment, just like women with menopause lol it sounds crazy but believe me it works! When you balance your hormones with treatment your whole life changes!!!

    Just gotta say, this was hugely motivational for me in my transition off the pill. I'm already (mostly) vegan but was still a little nervous about adult acne. Well you put the fears to rest! Side note, you're gorgeous and your skin looks amazing. I love the positive vibes and would love to see more posts about nutrition / veganism ✌️ thanks!!

    i’m 22. was on Nexplanon since i was 14 and been off birth control for about 6 months. During those 6 months I was taking oral prednisone. Last week finally came off. This last 6 months, from being off bc to taking prednisone my hormonal acne has been the worse i’ve had in my life. It’s constant. From fungal to bulgaris to i think a couple cystic i have it all minus extreme inflammation 🙏🏻 I’m at a breaking point but can’t afford a derm. I double cleanse with salicylic acid and moisturize. I keep it simple yet it won’t stop.

    Thank you for this video! I do want to say however that it’s no problem treating your skin with skincare products, as long as you’ve looked into your skin type and you’re using good quality and dermatologically tested products and don’t just throw anything and everything on your face and expect it to get better. It’s been a few months for me since I stopped taking birth control, I didn’t get on it for my skin but because I had a long term relationship and didn’t want to get pregnant. Now that I’m single and taking time to take care of myself, it was time to leave the pill behind because it caused so many bad things such as depressive moods, allergies, anxiety. All of that is so much better now but like most watching this video; my skin has reacted to it massively. It’s my 6th month of being off of it and I think my skin got bad after a month or so, I luckily didn’t get very bad acne but I did get more regular breakouts on my chin/neck area and now also a little bit on my shoulders. As soon as I noticed this I did research on what to do and have been able to control it mostly, it’s still there and I’m still working to improve it but it’s a long process to get those artificial hormones out of your body so give your skin time and have patience, I’ve heard from most people what it needed most was time.

    My face turned into a bumpy road after getting off BC & going vegan then pescatarian then later vegan again. Tarte Amazonian clay foundation broke me out a few weeks ago, I thought it was a good vegan foundation but I checked the ingredients later and it’s so bad with fragrance. I broke out with 7 new pimples after working so hard to get rid of acne scars, now I have to start at ground 0.
    I’m glad I found Uncle Harry’s Blemish Salve. It’s working so well making my cystic acne go down and it’s only been 3 days.

    Thanks for the videos. Ive been wanting to stop taking the pill for a really long time. Ive been on it since I was 15 and now Im 19. I never did it because I had a boyfriend and it didnt really bothered me. But later on Ive been having some health issues and I just couldnt figure out what it could be. I was always out of energy and Ive even been diagnosed into the hospital for treatments but it didn't work. Ive been doing some research at our school lib about the pill and I was so shocked about what I found. I started looking at the web and I found your video. Now it has been, I would say over two months after I quit. I immediately feel the difference and I feel more energized. Could be a placebo effect but I really think its worth the try. I am taking supplements, just for the coming few months to help my body with balancing my hormones out. Although my skin is really starting to break out now, its okay. And I love having a little support from watching your videos! 😊

    I am currently binge watching all your videos, you give such great information! I will be taking the pill for the last time tomorrow, and after watching your videos and doing more research I feel so confident with my decision. I cannot wait to give my body the love and care it deserves after being on BC since I was 11 (for acne).
    I was misled by my doctors, and finally having control over my own self feels amazing.

      @marija7 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Wilwilani hey, yes I did stop it! I just literally stopped taking it without consulting a doctor, I don't know if that was good or not. However I have never felt better. My skin is clearer than it ever was, I don't have mood swings anymore and my period actually returned back to normal after 2 months. Apologies if this is TMI but it was also lighter and I had less cramps. Overall I feel better, and I also lost some weight as well. I had a check up with my doctor a few months after and he told me everything was superb. I started taking it because of acne at a very young age, so I think stopping it without speaking to a doctor first was okay ish. However if you have PCOS or anything of the sort it would be better to give your doc a heads up ☺

      My BC cleared my acne to the point that I don't even get 1 breakout, but Ive been on it for 6 years now and starting to not feel too good anymore .
      I'm scared that my acne will return but I'm not a teenager anymore so maybe that will play a role in it staying clear?
      Also how long were you on it before you stopped and how long have u been off now?

      @@Wilwilani I started the pill when I was around 11 I think. Stopped at 22. It did help at first, but then my acne kind of stabilised. It wasn't as bad and I only had it on my face. However after I stopped im only getting a few pimples occasionally, not acne. I stopped the pill last year, I think it's been nearly 10/11 months now and I don't regret it. You will only know for certain if you stop it to be honest.

    I'm 16 and suffer from acne because of PCOS. My gynecologist didn't want me to take the pill but then changed her mind. Next month I'm suppose to start the pill but I really don't know. I'm afraid of the side effects. I don't want to ruin my body or my mental state (side effects include depression and mood swings) just because of my face. It is hard disliking what you see when you look in the mirror, even worse knowing that people see that face. It's horrible. But it will go away, right? If it doesn't, then I think I'm going to take the pill because I'm tired of this. I've had acne since I was 10 and it stopped me from doing what I wanted too many times.
    Thank you for you video anyway, it really helped me since I'm looking for more information about this matter.

      +en pathos Hey, I started taking the pill for the same reason (I don't know if I have PCOS but I know that there's too much "male" hormone in my body) and I have stopped 2 days ago because I do not want to put chemicals like these in my body anymore + I had so many side effects. For example, I was sad and angry almost all the time for no reason.I eat a mainly high carb low fat vegan diet and I do not use any more chemicals on my face anymore, I treat it gently and I use oils like avocado oils (it probably sounds weird but avocado oïl helped me a lot!). All those things combined helped heal my acne, I still get acne almost all the time but a lot less, only a little bit like 1 or 2 pimples on my chin. I'm kind of scared to see how being off the pill will go as I had been taking it for 5-6 years

A few months ago I went off hormonal birth control after being on it for almost ten years. With that I also went vegan a few months ago and between the two my skin has really been reacting in breaking out and detoxing itself and trying to regulate itself again. I know now what i am putting into my body is great. I went on the pill to lessen my periods due to being on the implant. At this time I had acne. But my skin cleared up when on the pill (for about a year). Recently (6 months ago) I came of the pill due to bleeding constantly for about a few months. My skin has gone mental, back to how it was. I generally have a vegan diet which is healthy although I do eat egg occasionally but never dairy products. I don't eat junk food even if it is vegan. I also drink lots of water and work out 6 days a week! I take care of my skin or I'd like to think I do yet still nothing. I feel like I'll always have this because I had it before and the pill was the only thing that helped. Any suggestions? 😔

    I got on Liletta a hormonal iud for my nonstop bleeding. Things were great for awhile, but in my 10th month I am experiencing acne and I haven't had that in ages. My NP says it's not the IUD because it is localized and does not go in the bloodstream. So I said that one of the side effects clearly states acne. They prescribed a bc pill to help with the acne. But I just want an ablation to help stop the bleeding and not be on hormones that cause acne or a bc pill that may cause depression and anxiety.

I have multiple small bumps on my forehead and chin of which I never got this kind of acne before. It seems to have gone back to how it was before I went on the pill and worse. BUT i must say though, is not as bad as when I started going on the pill (first 9months) my skin was horrible! I see a naturopath and also knowing that my skin will get better and that my body is adjusting keeps me not as stressed about my skin even though I hate it. We can talk more about it if you want! that's not true. Genetics is huge don't get me wrong, but there's tons of research that support that nutrition is important... i've had several dermatologists tell me the same. Dairy and sugar is a huge problem for people. I for one if i eat too much dairy, like clockwork I get a huge cystic pimple. I also got off of antibiotics (for acne, caused stomach problems for me) and with a diet high in fermented foods, veggies, healthy fats and non diary probiotics, my skin has been fantastic.

      Cassandra Wiggins hey!!! I agree cow dairy is so bad for you - it causes inflammation in the gut which causes acne, eczema, psoriasis etc. but it's because cow dairy consists of A1 protein which is inflammatory and allergenic. A2 milk protein is a fab prebiotic and isn't inflammatory or allergenic - it's found in goat milk (which isn't tampered with hormones etc). Hope this helps :)
